We've never hired anyone to do home repairs, so we weren't sure what to expect, but Jeff is not only our new standard, but the only person I would go to in Wisconsin! I emailed two potential handymen about a simple set of jobs -- we needed the TV mounted, curtain rods hung, shelves put up, a tapestry hung. We had to emergency move and didn't have time to do those tasks ourselves -- it all would have been put off. Jeff responded right away through Yelp and then when I reached out he answered the phone and told me it would be no problem, just tell him when and where to show up. He was on time and basically told us to point at what we wanted and where -- it was amazing. In an hour, Jeff hung up two floating shelves, a tapestry, three long curtain rods and mounted our TV -- it took us 2 hours just to do the TV, so we were over the moon! He is fast, doesn't waste time and he does great work. I called him and asked if he could mount my TV and hang up 4 large curtain rods for high windows and he came within 2 days (super fast response time) Drilled in my mount and hung my TV up for me (I'm a little picky and couldn't figure out where to put it) he helped me decide the best positioning and even showed me how to operate the swivel mount and set it (I do NOT know anything about TV's) He put up all the curtain rods and was very accommodating!!! Do not hire this guy. Booked him two weeks in advance and the morning of he is a no show. I waited an hour and called and Jeff claims that the appointment is for an hour after we booked. No big deal, but he would still be late at this point. I wait another hour and a half and call back. Now Jeff claims he doesn't have the tools for the job. Avoid this guy and go with someone who owns a watch. If you don't want or can't do the job don't except the job. Completely unprofessional. Described job to JB, quoted four hours w/ two people working. They get to our house, work for 45 minutes, then start explaining how they can't do this and can't do that. Wife and I leave for 5 minutes, return, find JB, his helper, and tools gone. Text him and he says he's backing out of the job. What kind of a person leaves a job without telling anybody? He and his helper John came right on time and did everything in about a hour that I would have taken six months to figureout and screw up -- and now I'll have a few more things for him. Used Jeff for replacing drywall in our garage that leaked last year, did a really good job but actually getting him here for the appointment was a chore. He never showed or even called after he missed the original appointment for the estimate. Claims he left a note on our door but never did. We did like the work he did so called him up last week for water damaged drywall in our home and again he did not show up or even call for the appt on Monday. My husband called him the next day and he used the same lame excuse that he left a note on our door but never did as my husband was home several hours prior to the appt and after. Who the hell drives all the way out to leave a note on a door instead of calling? So my husband still rescheduled the appointment for this morning and SHOCKER he is a no show again and calls go right to voicemail. It's called professionalism Jeff, you apparently have none.
