So bad that I couldn't deal with looking at for 10 years - let alone showing other countries' customs agents everytime I travel. The real likelihood that my photos would get rejected as well made me decide to see about getting a professional photographer to take them. I didn't even care about cost at that point - I just wanted pictures that met the requirements and looked like me. Kevin was quick to reply to my emails about his studio services and suggested I made an appointment which I did for the following afternoon. I showed up at my appointment time, Kevin let me in and apologized for finishing up with a walk-in. No big deal. After only about 2-3 minutes he was ready for me. Let me check myself in a floor mirror first, walked me into his studio, made me feel at ease with his personable and relaxed photog chat got a few shots done in less than 3 minutes. We looked at them and selected the best one - honestly except for the one I shut my eyes on all of them were very good. He printed them, I paid him. Chatted a couple minutes and I was out the door with great passport and CCW photos. The price was almost identical to Walgreens and I looked like me - not an angry old woman with raccoon eyes and a chip on her shoulder (not even close to what I look like in real life!). I was so happy I've showed everyone my photo and everyone is jealous they didn't think of that for theirs! Lol. I will definitely recommend Kevin Newsome Studios for your passport, visa, permit photos - don't try to be slick and go for A cheapy place that doesn't know their stuff and risk hating your photos or worse having them rejected by the State Department. She was light and bubbly on the phone and I felt like I was talking to a friend. She answered all my questions and was not pushy. I was looking for a photographer to capture some outdoor wedding shots since it rained all day on my actual wedding day (in Chicago) and Kimberly delivered! It was a beautiful day in Florida when we were getting ready to do our shoot. Kimberly also recommended Femme Akoi for hair and makeup, which I thought was very nice. Her tips and tricks were helpful too. We spent a few minutes learning poses and how to work together and then it was off to the races. The photo shoot went by so fast because it was fun! She showed us a few images on her camera and I was honestly blown away. They looked SO GOOD. I was very comfortable the entire time and she had great ideas and incorporated some of my own. The experience I had with Suad and my daughter was not the best. We purchased a premium smash cake…read morepackage that included a milk bath. My daughter is very active, so it was difficult getting good shots of her. That said, Suad extended our session an additional hour, but I still had to cut the photoshoot short because my daughter was tired, cranky, and frustrated. Suad seemed upset that we did not go through with the milk bath, and although we tried to put my daughter in the setup, she was not having it. First, my daughter did not fit in the bathtub provided, and it was a very dangerous and slippery set up in which my active daughter could easily fall over and hurt herself. So I decided to stop the photoshoot. I stated I was still willing to pay full price, and she then offered to allow for a few extra final photos to compensate. When it came to picking out the final photos, Suad changed her mind. She would not include extra final photos unless we paid more. She stated that we took advantage of her because of the length of time to do the shoot and that we used up the supplies for the milk bath even though we did not get photos. But we still paid for it, so I dont understand why she felt we took advantage of her. When we received the final product, she did not crop one of the photos per my request. Overall, the photos we got were nice but I was very disappointed in how we were treated and how my daughter's needs were not addressed during the shoot. I don't recommend her if you have a child who is walking and active. We will NOT use her services again.
