If i were in San Diego or pulling into Haleiwa it's understandable...but Surf City? North Carolina? I was near insanity, but too close to the shop to turn around. With the infuriating anger building I decided they had one chance to get my business. And it was slim. And what happened? Great, comfortable, friendly customer service. No pressure sales. Two days later and I'm back ordering a board from them. It's a nice little shop with pretty much everything you would need. Be sure to check out the consignment section...saw a cosmetically beat but great condition Hawaii Pro Designs longboard sitting in the back, in addition to a variety of short boards in varying conditions with varying prices. George is awesome. Send him your business. I've stopped into most other "shops" in the area and been brushed off, leaving me feeling like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman (minus the prostitution). Chris (owner) did an amazing job of quickly familiarizing us with a horse, getting us in the saddle, and leading us through a beautiful trail ride full of great instruction. The barn and grounds were in great condition, you can tell that Desperado Farm truly cares for their horses and customers. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, very easy to talk to and real masters in their trade. They were also very flexible with scheduling and payment, working around the weather and my own personal schedule. Great spot, great time, and great people. Highly recommend.

WB Surf Camp is our best investment of summer 2022. Our instructor Jacob was great for my 15yo and…read more12yo kids, and I'm relying on their comments to make this review. Jacob made sure the kids mastered one skill before he introduced the next, and guided them to make their own choices about which waves to try. He offered really constructive advice as they learned balance and got their footing. He was enthusiastic, and he was just as excited as the kids were when they stood up for the first time. The kids had a great teaching experience, AND they caught some good waves! In addition, I really appreciated that the instructors check the conditions before lessons and making sure it was a safe environment to learn to surf for the first time. When an offshore storm made the conditions too rough for first time surfers, Jacob recommended we wait a day, and WB Surf Camp was able to adjust our lesson times to ensure everyone would have a safe and fun time in the waves. I felt confident entrusting my kids' in their care. We highly recommend Jacob and WB Surf Camp!
