Very easy to engage with, receptive and patient. I observed first hand him working with the several various aged children. Making sure they had proper sizing of boards, educating on the surf and methods of maneuvering the board. They took time to answer all sorts of questions from the children. Including from us parents. After the children hit the water with them, I was speaking with the parents waiting and they shared how much their children loved the lessons and the instructors. When the kids came back, they were exhausted in a good way! Happy and of course starving lol I find this to be effective approach for learning the sport for those esp that may get overwhelmed or overstimulated by larger number of people in the group. But also if your child tried a camp and found they loved surfing this is great option to also feed their desire to keep learning and refining their surf skills.

I cannot imagine it going any better. My first run, I did on my knees. Next, I was standing up. I ended up coming in and watching my family. My kids were standing up and looking so comfortable on the board. This was an amazing adventure - the small class size of 2 people to 1 instructor is dead on perfect! Check this out and have fun!

It is also a great deal--less than $50 for the experience and a large custom candle to take home. Just keep in mind that after you make the candle, it takes over an hour to set so make sure you bake that into your time as you have to come back to pick it up. Overall, great experience and friendly staff!

The other two times, I called the day before and was told that they had plenty of availability for walk-ins (the most recent date only had one appointment scheduled for the entire day); however, upon arrival, I was told that they were full and had more appointments to come. The owner then said "she'd check her computer to see if what she could do" [to work us in]. So we waited...and waited. After 20+ minutes, she had not come back, so I inquired about her being able to squeeze us in. She said she still hadn't had time to look at the computer. I watched her do far less urgent things than assisting a customer, especially when young kids are involved. She clearly had no intention to try to help us, so we left. During both of the unscheduled encounters, I've found the owner to be rude and unaccommodating. My best advice is to always book an appointment - even when not required for the project. If you don't, don't expect any help from the owner.

My wife and I are both VERY selective about anybody who would care for our children (we both have worked as attorneys with DSS and child abuse/neglect cases and kind of freak out about the horror stories we have been witness to). Giggles has always gone above and beyond for our family. They care about our kids, they know our kids, they (dare I say) love our kids. And we know so many others who feel the exact same way. While everyone can have a different experience, I would point out just how nice the Giggles area is for kids to play and have fun. Both of our kids tell us they miss Giggles, sometimes things at Giggles and sometimes people from Giggles. As a drop in child care facility there is never time when parents are not coming in and out, so the employees are always "on". There is never a time when there are not parents to see how things are going there, and they even have a webcam if you want to see your kid play when you are away. Without further rambling, i just wanted to say thanks to all the lovely folks at Giggles and tell y'all we miss you! Anybody looking for childcare would be lucky to have folks that kind and wonderful to help watch your kids when you cannot.

They offer snacks and will keep your child's sippy cup filled with water so you don't have to worry about picking up hungry, grumpy kiddos. The price is more than reasonable. They also change diapers, so you don't have to wait until your child is potty trained to bring them here. I'm happy I can now enjoy dinner and a movie with my husband without the high cost of a babysitter, since we don't have to include the hour drive each way in our childcare expense anymore.
