They attempted insurance Fraud by telling State Farm that my carpet upstairs had been replaced and it HAD NOT. I caught the mistake, and they tried to lie and claim that it was an ERROR by the office manager... I had to miss work to meet with their workers on several occasions, only to have them not show up and even call to cancel. On top of that they did horrible work and my floor upstairs feels uneven when walking upstairs. They did not caulk and seal around the toilets, baseboards, or entry points. They left the gas running one day, and I had to turn away one of their workers because I smelled gas. The technician with Southwest Gas confirmed that they did indeed leave the gas running. A HUGE SAFETY RISK!! Elite Bros brushed it off as if it was NOTHING... When I tried to rectify the situation with them, they tried to CONTROL me by scheduling appoints on their own without considering I have a ton of other things I am working on. They need to be shut down because who else are they doing this to?

They sent their structural engineer,…read moreHristo "Chris" Hristov of HH Consulting, to my home to assess whether a wall was load bearing. Chris showed up an hour and a half late and didn't offer an apology or even acknowledge his tardiness. He looked at the wall and said he didn't 'think' it was load bearing. I told Chris that his 'thought' is not good enough; I need confirmation. I asked if he planned on going into the attic to assess the wall from there. Well, he showed up without a ladder and asked to borrow one from me, so perhaps he didn't plan on going into the attic. His conclusion, "it probably isn't load bearing." I never received a letter from him certifying the status of the wall. I looked him up to see if he held an engineering license in the State of Nevada. Nope, as of Dec 2024, he doesn't. And he doesn't have a license with the contractor's board either. I know that it's illegal for a licensed contractor to "aid and abet an unlicensed person" (language of Nevada law) NRS 624.3014. I don't know why Top Renovations would risk a reprimand and sanction by the contractor's board by using an unlicensed engineer. I would not hire HH Consulting and for a multitude of reasons, I will not be hiring Top Renovations.

He showed up late with no communication whether he was gonna show or not. Now I got a quote from a competitor so I had an idea of what this basic job would cost, this man finished the job in 30 min and I was told an extremely high number as though I'm paying for 2 hours of labor. Tried to negotiate that price but refused cause the "driving to and from" my house was the reason. He did not use covers for his dirty work boots on my carpet and did not use the proper hardware required to hang the large image. Do not book with this person that does not communicate they're going to be late and then severely over charges for basic work. Probably my fault for not making him tell me a price before he started but a lesson learned. One star already rated on this business for a reason, don't give it a chance like I did.
