Located in Pembroke Lakes Mall, this JCPenney's is better than I remember it being in the past. Came in because I had a gift card that was literally a year and a half old. Why hadn't I gone in before, honestly cause JCP hadn't been that great the times before- nothing was pulling me in. Figured it was the holidays and maybe I could find something to finally use my gift card on. I was pleasantly surprised to find the store well stocked, full of variety (clothes, jewelry, make up, gift, holiday decor, shoes, etc), lines were average but moving, and generally just bright and pleasant. Some staff was a little less than welcoming (maybe over the holiday season) and some of the style of things was a bit dated for me but overall, I'd venture back in to this JCP again in the near future. read more

This store is located inside the Pembroke Lakes Mall and it's one of my favorites as it has a huge selection of apparel for men/women/children and home as well as jewelry. Employees are super knowledgeable and friendly and they always have great clearance and sales going on that are amazing. read more

The staff is friendly, but they just can't help me. I ordered a pair of jeans online during a really good sale in a short length. They were mailed to me in regular length. They fit everywhere, but were 3 inches too long. I drove to the store & returned them at the catalog counter. The woman behind the counter thought I had ordered them in regular length, but apologized when I showed her it said SHORT on my order. She re-placed my order for the jeans. Three days later, I had to drive back, only to get regular length jeans again. This time the manager got involved. Now here I am a week later again at JCP & again I got regular length jeans. I'm going to take a break from shopping at JC Penney. It's costing me too much time & frustration. read more

I sometimes stop in JC Penney when I am at Pembroke Lakes Mall. They have changed their style of store and the type of merchandise they sell over the years. They were selling home appliances and then they stopped. One thing I have bought here that I was satisfied with years ago was their luggage. It was Samsonite and lasted several years and through quite a few trips. When. I came back to look for new luggage last year, I was disappointed. Their selection of luggage was more limited and they had brands I had never heard of. A Sephora dis have a spot here but they parted ways with JCP. Now the beauty section is owned by JCP and they do not have anything great to offer. A lot of off brand brands. Hopefully they can find their way back to doing better since they have been around a very long time. read more

A decent JCPenney that is located in the mall of Pembroke Pines. The staff here is usually friendly, however it seems on super busy days, you can never find one and when you find one, they are usually not in the mood to be asked for help. The prices are always good and they usually have some amazing deals going on. You can even find coupons online that you can stack while you are looking to buy some nice clothes, shoes or even sprays or jewelry. I take advantage of sales like these especially for household items because their products tend to be a little expensive but when they have sales, they are discounted really well! I don't recommend going on the weekend because this place usually becomes a mad house but if you do, just be ready for that type of anarchy! read more

This JCPenny is located in a outdated mall that could use it's own renovating, restructuring, redecorating, and much more. It definitely will help make it a more inviting and pleasurable place to shop. Once you get that understanding then the appearance of JCPenny will not surprise you. I always find deals here for my kids and myself. The best times to shop are on the weekends even though it's their busiest days of the week. I love their, "Buy One Get One for a Penny" sale they usually have on Sundays. I take advantage of sales like these especially for a household of my size. I'm a frugal shopper and JCPenny's helps me to honor this kind of living. The lines can be long on the weekends as well. Be prepared to wait as the cashiers sift through your stuff while trying to avoid heaps of unorganized clothes stacked up on the counters next to them. (I honestly don't see how they can work amongst such disorder.) The lines can be a bit confusing as well so I recommend being patient, paying attention, and being thoughtful of other shoppers. read more

Me and Jcpenneys are best friends! Lol their sales are the BEST! and on top of sales, there's always a coupon they send in the mail or online you can pull it up on your phone for the cashier to scan! Last Christmas I got my husband soooooo many dress shirts for work for basically nothing! Shirts at $40-$60 a shirt were $4-$7 each!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I would give zero stars if it was at all possible. I visited this store for in-store pick up and waited 25 mins for someone to help. There is no one dedicated to this area at 8:25 pm at night which is understandable but no one else in the floor cared enough to come help customers if the person fit this area was otherwise occupied ? Is there no coverage plan for when things get a bit busy? Finally another cashier came to attend to us after another 10 mins and then realized she couldn't log into the register so that was another 10 mins of waiting to resolve that. 45 mins to do in-store pick up? No wonder brick and mortar stores are closing at record speed around the country. So very disappointed at JC Penney's Pembroke Lakes Mall Housewares Dept. For many, many years, I bought all my bed linens, comforter sets, towel sets, bathroom rugs, cookware, etc. at Penney's and I was surprised to find hardly anything in these depts. What little inventory they have is displayed similar to a low-end discount store. And what's with the blaring Salsa music??!! So much spent on that new president with his ideas and reorganization that did not yield much for JC Penney. Bottomline is that for clothes JC Penney is not a first choice. Forever 21, H&M and all the other smaller more fashionable and reasonable stores are hard to beat. Until JCP recognizes what is their real problem they will continue to spend millions with the same results. I can run into Forever 21 and grab a fashionable dress, shoes, necklace, ear-rings purse and shoes for under $50. The lines in the smaller stores are long and people wait patiently to cash their purchases. read more

Writing the review while standing in line. It's been 20 minutes and they got through one guest. Someone who appeared to be a manager came by to answer the phone and left. Update. After finally getting through another guest the 2nd cashier organized her station for a few minutes before calling the next guest. Unbelievably horrible service. The last 2 times I went to the Pembroke Pines JCP it was a long and terrible experience. Some of the associates are under-trained so simple transactions that should take a couple minutes take 20. A few weeks ago I waited in line for over 45 mins with only 2 people in front of me! Then yesterday I waited 20 minutes with only 1 person in front of me and then the associate took another 15 mins to process my return...with a receipt! She said she was new and didn't know how to do it (I had used a gift card) and was waiting for help. Sometimes we need to be patient with those still learning and that's okay, especially when they are pleasant BUT what is not acceptable is managers with bad attitudes like Cindy who seem to hate their jobs and/or simply do not value the customers. I am not the only one with this opinion. I have been in the store numerous times and never seen the woman smile. Granted some of the staff at the Pembroke Mall JCP are very slow which can be frustrating, but at least they are nice and actually many of the associates and managers there are fine. Cindy is not! It reminds me of the old adage about one bad apple spoiling the bunch. read more

I enjoyed this JCPenney. Their dress selection had exactly what I was looking for and their associates were helpful for the most part. It was a little chaotic because of the holiday season and some of the staff was seasonal and therefore less helpful than the regular full or part time employees but that is to be expected during the holidays. read more

I went to use the bathroom on the first floor, it was closed for cleaning. I was advised to go to the second floor, so I did. The second floor bathroom had one or two WORKING stalls. The entire bathroom was disgusting. Pissy tissues on the floor and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in days. They need to do better on their maintenance because that was repulsive. I left immediately. I don't even feel like finishing my Christmas shopping.. just gross! read more

Don't know what is happening with this store. But today the air conditioning appear not to be working the whole store was warm and smell bad. Each time I went to a cashier it was close. They only have one open and with only one employee. The line and waiting to pay for my items was ridiculous long. Great Sales! The line are long with not enough sales associates to check people out! Door busters are great, but at 1pm the lines get worse. A crowd of us standing in line asked the manager to help out, she said there is nothing they can do. It's been over 45 mins on the 2nd floor by kids. They said they will honor the door buster sales, but the other customers are patient but this is ridiculous. I'll never come back to this store. Some comments horrible, poor customer service by management. After almost 1 hour I left. The manager could care less. They apologized but did nothing. I'm done with you JCPenneys. DO NOT BOTHER!!! This review is regarding the photo studio. I made several attempts to call and schedule a photo shoot for my daughter who is turning 1. I made over three phone calls to no avail, not even one phone call back. When I called the first time I was transferred to the photo department, someone picked up the phone and just hung up on me. I called back, the same rep that initially transferred me answered and apologized for my experience but also stated that the people over there never pick up when a call is transferred. He gave me the department's number and asked me to call them directly. I called and left a voicemail message. No one returned my call. Several hours later I called back and the phone kept ringing and no one picked up. Yesterday I made another attempt to call and someone picked up the phone and hung up on me again. These people are despicable and I will never reach out to them or let any of my friends and family go there. If I could post a negative 1 star I would!!! Just awful and I am sure the pictures would have sucked with those kind of people working there. read more

Not a good experience today. Had to stand in a long line to check an item's qualification for "40% of on some items". The rude clerk in handbags obviously hates her job and didn't know which brands qualify for the discount. When I purchased my item, it was put in a very small bag as that's "the only size we have". Additionally the clerks walkie talkie kept squeaking with staff instructions and assignments. Sure reminded me of the old Kmart experience. read more

I am so disappointed in the customer service I just received at Sephora from a manger there named Naomi. It's disgusting to see the attitude she displays to the guest as well as the co workers there. I watched her tell a worker that she needed to stop walking a certain way. I was getting my face color matched and in the middle of having my face matched, she yells at a worker and tells the worker to help someone else instead ? Are you kidding me . And to top it all off I love every single one of those girls in there I am very good friends with them they are always keeping me beautiful and up to date on products and since I am friends with them she told them I couldn't come in there anymore . So she's showing discrimination against me . I am highly upset and will be going to the store manager. So disappointed as much product I buy from there something like this could happen. I spend hundreds of dollars on makeup and skin care thanks to the great team. I never could of imagined something like this happening to me. I never really write reviews but I had to write this one! I am so happy that I ended up going to Kimberly Truong @ JCPenney Salon at Pembroke Lakes Mall. She is so sweet and genuine and cared about how you wanted her to cut and style your hair. She also is the first hairstylist that I've gone to where I didn't have to fix my hair as soon as I walked out. Thank you Kimberly, I will see you on my next visit. read more
