Went for a haircut earlier today and was assigned to a junior stylist. Generally. I don't mind a slower service time with junior stylists who are in training, However. I'm afraid this particular stylist didn't deliver. I have lengthy, straight hair that requires no special treatment. This should have been a straight-forward haircut. Yet, the stylist repeatedly missed several strands of hair throughout the appointment. I pointed out some of the loose strands but, understandly, did not catch them all. Had to rush home to care for my infant and only after a thorough shampoo did I appreciate how lacking the haircut was. read more

I had a terrible experience that I hope no one else has happen to them. Hair was messed up after 4 hours that was supposed to be color/ cut. I was booked with a stylist it was her 2nd day. The only other staff person was brand new also. All I got was excuses when I returned to have manager correct with another 4 hour appointment! read more

I spent $32 on a trim. It was a dry cut. No shampoo or blow drying done. And a tip was requested. Honestly, that cost was pretty damn high for what I received. I won't ever return but ask before you commit to any service. read more

Had my hair cut and styled by Kendra on 12/31/13. She really took the time to listen to what I wanted when other stylists in town have not. I'm picky about my haircuts because I like to wear my hair very short, yet I still want it feminine looking. Kendra did a great job! She told me that because it was the first time she cut my hair she would redo it if I wasn't totally satisfied within a couple weeks. Kendra also suggested a couple products for my hair type. After reading the positive reviews, I thought this might be the best place for me to get a pedicure. I had a 3:00 appointment with Jess who wasn't there yet. At five after three, she still wasn't there and another employee called to see where she was. She said she would be there in five minutes. However, by 3:20 she still wasn't there. Finally left. I really like the cut I received. If it hadn't been for messed up color, I would be giving a higher rating. I had let my hair grow out for a very long time so it would be healthy before I started with the chemicals again. I wanted my natural color, dark blonde/light brown, with a few lighter blonde highlights. I ended up with definite red, perhaps a bit on the orange side. With the cut, base color, a few highlights and product, I was looking at $142. For me, that's quite a bit of money. Like I said, the cut is great and the stylist was very nice. I think the experience and maybe knowledge base might be an issue here. Not totally without empathy, I know stylists are pretty much led by the hand through school. But there should always be a seasoned stylist or manager available if issues arise. More staffing is needed. read more

Saw that JCPenney hair salon was open on Sundays located at the Casa Grande Promenade. It was a great time to go I guess they took me as a walk-in and Melanie did a great job. She only works Sundays but I would recommend everybody go on a Sunday and stand in line for her. I showed her a picture she cut my hair exactly like I wanted not too much just enough and a great style that I can do myself. Thanks Melanie you're terrific! read more

So yesterday (06.01.17) I called to see if I can get in to get my hair cut, sort of spare of the moment thing. I was super excited because they were able to get me in an hour after I called. So I get in and everyone is super friendly. Good vibes all around. I had the "pleasure" of getting my haircut by Denise, master stylist might I add. I say "pleasure" because the whole experience was great and yes I did leave happy. Waking up today and getting ready for work is when I noticed my hair was no where like I wanted it to be. I Cleary had told her I wanted my hair cut so can style it straight. I have super thick curly hair. She seemed to be on the same page as me, or so I thought . Leaving out a lot of details , Denise let me walk out of the salon believing she had giving me a good haircut. I so happened to be in Chandler today to meet my dad for dinner. While I was waiting I went into the Arizona hair co. To get a professional opinion about my hair. I thought maybe it was all in my head and I was creating a problem that wasn't even there. ( I really felt like the back of my hair looked like a mullet ) so as I show the lady my hair she literally sat me down right away and fixed all the mess Denise left. Only charged me 16 bucks as opposed to 55 bucks plus tip lol. It's funny because I had told Denise that with the type of hair I have ,I've learned over the years that unfortunately I can't go into a great clips or costcutters sort of place and get the hair cut I want/need and she said well I wouldn't go that far. She said it all depends on the hairstylist. Oooof was she right... I guess it doesn't matter if you are labeled a "Master Stylist " it all depends on the hairstylist. To top it all off ,once she was done she proceeded to give me her "card " when in fact she gave me someone else's card. Denise is so shady. All i have to say is I am so extemely disappointed because in the matter of two days I have now spent 86 bucks on my hair. For anyone reading the reviews , just because someone is labeled a master stylist and charge you more because of their label doesn't mean they are actually up to par. Do not go to the salon they destroyed my hair Two years of blonde highlights two years of work to get my hair just right I went in just for a root touchup and more highlights My whole head end up turning white And then the manager Jenny Came to supposedly fixed it and made it worse it was fire red At the end of the day I was there for seven hours They bleach stripped and destroyed my hair Completely damaged And still walked away with no blonde highlights and a red brown color No blonde at all two years down the drain The manager was also very rude And told me I shouldn't complain because I'm not paying So therefore it's okay for them to destroy people's Hair and at the end of the day it's okay cause you don't have to pay She told me to find another salon that can fix my hair Dirigible hairdresser was pretending to be very nice And considerate telling me she felt so bad At the end I was outside waiting for my ride and heard her saying all kinds of bad things about me That I did this all on purpose cause I didn't want to pay yet I walk around with a $3000 handbag Do not go to the salon if you want your highlights done you're better off going to Chandler It's worth the drive read more

Review From Davids wife: My first time here, and I was a walk in. I am a snow bird and salons here in Casa Grande, Az are not in abundance. I was a little worried about a hair stylist being able to give me a modern cut, because like most women I freak out with new hair styles. I wanted to cut my hair short (but not so short)and get rid of the bun I wore all the time, and have a new look. Rebecca sat with me while I went thru the hair styles booklet, I pointed out what I liked and told her I didn't want such a short hair cut that the back of my head had these short layers, that just wouldn't look good. Her knowledge was so appreciated, there were a few styles I liked, but she politely pointed out that they were short layers, and would be short in the back. We settled on a style, that seemed to meet everything I was looking for. Modern and Fun. Well, Rebecca did such a great job, I can't remember how many times in my life that I have been so happy. Sorry I really didn't want to give them one star. I took my mother to the Casa Grande Az location today for a trim no shampoo no blow dry .. My mother requested to have a razor cut the stylist Viviana asked my mother why she wanted a razor cut mom replied because that's how my hair looks best. Well Viviana ignored moms request then shampooed and blew dry her hair ( now remember mom did not want shampoo or blow dry ) Ignored moms request for a razor cut then had the nerve to charge my mom for hair cut shampoo & blow dry. $10.00 more them the trim mom had asked for . My mother does not like to make a stink about things like this because it makes her feel taken advantage of. I told mom I would take care of it so I ask to speak with the salon manager Jennifer. After fifteen minutes Jennifer never came to speak with me so I did seek out Jennifer and she said she would come and speak with my mom. Again another fifteen minutes go by and I seek out Jennifer ( salon manager) and she tells me again to give her a few minutes and I told her never mind I'll just write a review and what does she say that's fine. Now not for nothing but she should have at least made the effort to speak with my mother but I guess she doesn't care about the JC Penny brand. Never will I nor my mother return to the Casa Grande Salon again. read more

I've been going to this place for three years now, but have never had a more horrible experience getting my hair cut. There's always a chance of getting a bad hair cut, but it wasn't the hair cut that has made me upset, it was the way they handled it. The stylist, from what I could tell, didn't know what she was doing. The back of my head was facing towards the mirror for a majority of the time she was cutting my hair. When she finished she didn't let me look at the end result. She just told me that everything was done and that I could leave now. I only got a glimpse of my hair as I was standing up, and only when I left and get to see the full extent of the damage to my hair. I called them and told them what had happened, though they hardly seemed to care. They scheduled an appointment three days out and took it, but it didn't make sense for me to have to wait three days with this horrid looking hair so I asked them to take me that same day. I'm sorry but for being a customer for three years and then treating me like this? I would have much appreciated some sympathy and possibly a discount to show me their gratitude for my business, but I guess that was too much out of the question for them. read more
