The associate at the register in Juniors, called her three times and she never came.. They told me that my purchase would only take off $9.15 because we could not mix and match Levi's with women's and men. The sign does not say that. It clearly states that it just has to be of same value or lesser. I took the picture and showed her what it says after waiting for her to show up 30 minutes later and she would not honor it. I had a great experience. I went in after all of the rush had finished. The place was clean, the changing rooms were clean, which was a surprise for me. They also have small shopping carts so that I didn't need to carry the items I was going to purchase. I was browsing on their site for hair care products. I came across a brand I like, and the creme was on clearance for $10.99, original price $22. Now I'm ecstatic and want to get it right away, so I searched nearby stores that had it in stock. I was going to be passing Inland Center, so I decided to stop in there. I went to the salon area and was looking around at the products for about 5-10 mins when a stylists came around the corner and greeted me. It wasn't a normal greeting tho....it was a, up and down look, I caught you, what do you want, type of greeting. I was holding a small bottle of hair serum and the creme I saw online. The in store price didn't reflect a clearance price, so I asked the stylist to check the price. It rang up at regular price, and she asked to see the online price. After I showed it to her, she said she would call a manager to override the price adjustment. We'll that didn't happen when the manager came over. She refused to give me the online price, stating that online clearance prices, are just for online. It's not like people were rushing to get the product, being that they were fully stocked. I feel that the manager could have adjusted the price for me, especially since I was only getting one, and I would know for future reference, that online clearance prices are just that. I ended up not getting the hair cream, and started to look for something else. The stylist kept asking me if I was going to purchase the hair serum i was holding, about 4 times, as though she thought I was trying to steal it. That really bothered me. I could have put it down, while I was looking for something else, but I didn't want to, nor did I have to. I knew I was holding it, because my intentions were to purchase it, along with something else I decided I wanted to get. I normally just order the products online, and should have continued to do that, instead of visiting the store to receive this type of experience. read more

Jasmin in the makeup department is amazing, I came in with dry skin and wanted to see if she could color match me, not only did she find my color, she recommended other products that would help with my dry skin. Jewelry department NEVER answers phone calls this place is a shit show anyway go to a different one

Went to ask if I could pick up my online order instore although I did not receive the email yet and Lacey said I could. Once I asked if there was something she needed to scan she immediately replied "I'm not a computer so I can't do anything about an online order for pickup." I'm not sure if she is aware that her register is a computer that knows what she does not? I replied "just so you know, that was an incredibly rude way to respond. I just asked you if so could pick up and you said yes." She then advised the process was different and I was allowed to buy the item but figure out the pickup order myself. I decided to stop talking to her and thanked her. Rude, sassy, bad eyeliner, bad lipstick, and the worst gradient eyebrows I've seen in a while. I don't understand why some employees make condescending remarks and make a transaction confrontational when it could be simple and straightforward. I could have roasted her bad terrible makeup and be just as sassy as her. Hopefully she reads this and practices her replies and her makeup application. read more

I went today to pick up my glasses. The girl who was there was little rude. She handed me my glasses before she handed them to me they were so dirty you can see it. So before I put them on my face. I asked if she can clean them. She cleaned them, and I said, "WOW, that is scratch." She said, I can send them back in for you." If you cleaning something, aren't you looking at it? As soon as sge open the case I saw this scratch. The way she said it made me feel like I'm taking chance and they're not going to fix them. Bad enough there isn't big selection on glasses. During my eye exam, the lens were dirty. So it is hard to tell if something was blurry or not. After I receive my glasses from here I will not return or recommend anyone to come here. My review is for the JCP Salon. I went in afraid that they would send me away since my cousin messed up my hair with bleach. It was horrific. Martha Ramirez, was the one that brought my hair back to life! I love the way my hair came out and the price was not bad for all she had to do. Not only that but she is very friendly, funny and kept me well entertained with scary stories from the Queen Mary and haunted places in Redlands. I will definitely be going back to see her once my hair grows out a little. Happy I finally found someone I trust with my hair! Her exceptional customer service deserves more than just this review. Ordered a bed frame and mattress from this store in September 2021, I received the frame but never received the mattress. Every time I would call to see what was going in with the order they could never give me a straight answer. In November I still hadn't received the mattress and told them I was never going to purchase with them again, absolutely horrible service; after this they finally sent the mattress to their delivery service company, RyderLastMile. The same the mattress was scheduled to be delivered they called me saying there was a problem and that the delivery was canceled. Afterwards I wouldn't hear from them, and when I would call I kept getting excuses that there was a problem but they never actually told me what the problem was. In December still no mattress! Again they scheduled another delivery but the same thing occurred, so I finally canceled the order. More than a month later I'm still trying to get my refund back from them! Absolutely horrible experience with them!! read more

After waiting in line for 45 minutes the girl tells me NO coupons can be used with the 25% off closing sale. My coupon was for 30% off, she wouldn't even let me just use that coupon and not the 25%. I was in store for 1/2 hour literally going thru piles of jeans on the floor, trying not to trip over shoe boxes, and working my way thru racks of clothes that haven't been organized in months. Got my stuff, went to line and they had 1 cashier with a massive line. I left my stuff on another pile of stuff and left the store. Then I went to Macy's. Best move I've ever made. If you try and go pay at the jewelry section some workers are willing to help while others go out of there way not too. I hadn't been in this JCP since October. At the time the staffing obviously was below what was needed as the store was a mess. However, after stopping by this weekend to look at appliances I was pleasantly surprised. The areas were clean and organized. I was most impressed with the service I received from Richard and Josh in the appliance section. They answered all my questions and took plenty of time to help me find the product that best suited my needs. They also applied as many discounts that I qualified for to bring my purchase down to much less than I would have paid at Lowe's or Home Depot. J C Penney has come a long way since the 80s. I recently bought a mattress set during black Friday week and was surprised at the deals. The employee who manned the dept was gone but the window treatment associate was quick to help me and did a great job. I decided to check out the men's dept and was surprised they had big and tall items. Especially in the clearance section, I found Claiborne xxlt shirts for $12(nice deal). I have also ordered items online and have been satisfied with the turn around time in receiving the order. Keep it up J C Penney's management. She kept talking about her discount.... they both totally ignored me. Told me there was a line. Finally, I said, "excuse me, can you tell me where I can apply for a J.C. Penney card?" After being ignored for like ten minutes... all of a sudden homegirl who was checking prices and her discount says"oh, I can do that here!" I was like "oh, but there's a line... Went to this store after years of not going and was so surprised that it has gotten so bad. First we went to go find some Clinique and OMG they hab squeezed the entire cosmetic/cologne/perfume into one small section!!!!! Then I went into the men's big/tall area and they have all these racks of Adidas apparel on racks all over the section. I pick out two pairs of shorts. One pair was regularly$33 the other pair same price but it had a clearance sticker on it of $11.95. Look at the sign on the rack it says 50 percent off so I'm like Cool! Score! Get up to the checkout-Finally- and they are being scanned at $23.95 and $24.95. I tell the cashier that's the wrong price,they are on the rack marked 50 percent off. She says can I show her. She goes and says she only sees one rack I tell her there are a bunch of racks with Adidas apparel and I go to show her. We get back there and after showing her where I got the shorts from and she says that is wrong the sign is only for the items on the left side of the rack not the right. Then I ask what about the clearance sticker on that one pair of shorts and she says "I don't think that even belongs on there." SO? Isn't that your problem not mine? If the tag says a price is it my fault if someone did not do their job and put stickers on the wrong stuff? Whatever happened to the customer is right? And why didn't she ask.someone from that department? Becaue no one is around! It's a bunch of young people passing the time but no one wants to do the work or simply clean up the store. There's always long lines (even during holidays!) due to few registers, cashiers, and not enough associates to assist on the floor.. I've shopped this Jcpenny at least 20 times since they opened. It was clean, well stocked with all sizes and not very crowded. The lines are long or slow shall I say, but for the prices and quality, I'm willing to wait. My recent experience was very upsetting! On 8/4/17 I visited the store in the late afternoon. I found some jeans that were on sale for 17.99 and buy one get one for a penny! Could this be real? Well they had three different tables that said that was the price. I get to the cashier to pay for my items, but they rang up 17.99 each. I told the cashier about the signs and she went to go check. She saw what I was talking about, then began to tell me she'd give me half off the original price which would make them $21.99 which was more than they rung up for! What? I then request a manager. Monica comes over, checks out the signs and tells the cashier to honor the price and was going to remove the signs. The cashier adjusted the prices to a higher amount than what the manager said. I reiterated what the manager had stated. She said, " No, she didn't" I then request for her to call the manager back over to clarify. She becomes very angry! I'm not even upset at this point but then the cashier raises her hand and gets loud. "I'm telling you right now I can call her back over, but it's not going to be that price!" What was she going to do with that hand? I thought I was going to get hit! I will be contacting the proper management to relay this incident beyond Monica and I hope they review video. I am a professional and constantly tell people, even take friends shopping at Jcpenny but will no longer do so! I seriously thought I would be assaulted by their employee. read more
