I gave her all the info I had, made notes on what else she needed and emailed her with some follow up questions within the week. I did not receive a response and had to follow up a couple different times until we figured out my emails were in her junk folder. The same thing happened again after that. Besides the communication issues, I was disappointed at paying a hefty fee for CPA to find out she did my taxes wrong. After my husband spoke to her receptionist to straighten things out, the taxes were fixed. I have no faith that all the other complicated stuff that I was scared to do myself was done correctly to maximize my return. Also- I got absolutely no tips on what to do for next year. His name is Waldo and he's part Golden retriever. There was a point when I just couldn't think any longer. I couldn't configure a plan of action as I was wholly overwhelmed and this doesn't happen often, if ever.... well Counsel is 1) proactive, 2) assertive, 3) knowledgeable, 4) timely, 5) diligent, 6) saves ya money, 7) won't draw out and delay a case unnecessarily, 8) talks to you without talking down to folks while explaining the requirements of the law and providing viable options plus notes the downside, 9) actually takes phone calls and responds to emails, and 10) they serve the community by giving back.
