I used John, from JD entertainment as the DJ for my wedding. He was fun, professional, and was able to match the music to the mood of the event. He was funny, and he has the ability to get people to dance. (I'm sure the open bar helped). He has video and AV equipment available as well (DJ and videographer). I needed a slide projector last min and it was great to use an existing vendor (rather than search for another person). He had it, brought it, and presented it better than I had en-visioned it myself. What a relief! My parents, whom I"ve never seen or heard of dancing at anyone's wedding, was forced by my brothers to dance, and they stayed and danced a couple songs. It was great. He set the right tone and mood to the event, and we had a great time. My wedding was a mix of grandmothers to ringboy dancing, and they all had a great time. The ring boy said he has the most fun dancing. My mother-in-law loved the dancing. I survived 3 line dances requested by my mother-in-law. I'm amazed by John's skill and very happy that I hired him for my wedding. My friend who lives in San Diego wants to hire him, but unlucky for her, he is only in Michigan. We hired JD Entertainment after visiting another popular DJ vendor. What we liked about John was his non-cheesy factor. He is very down to earth, easy to talk to and that was what we were looking for. I really liked that we got a gobo for free with our package and their prices were comparable to other DJs. At the reception, we got so many compliments on how good the music was from everyone...all age ranges. John also gets major kudos because he helped re-tie falling chair sashes during dinner when he didn't have to. When we called they were so flexible with scheduling and the sales people were so enthusiastic that even over the phone that JD Entertainment was the right choice for us. After paying the deposit they sent us a login and password to their online portal and everything was easy. If Staples didn't already have the easy button I would give it to JD. Every single little thing we would have wanted to tell the DJ -- and a million things we would have forgotten -- was on this website and easy to fill out! A few weeks before the wedding we got a call from Chris, reviewed everything on the site to make sure we were clear - check, check, and check! Any song we wanted - they went and got it. During the wedding, as I'm sure is common, we ran over schedule greeting guests and Chris was so attentive - checked in when I needed, backed off when I needed. When we were jamming, we were jamming and I loved it. They played all the songs we requested and a bunch of hits we didn't even think of. Plus the classics early on. Wonderful experience planning and on the day of the wedding, John and his staff are very helpful and they have a great online tool you can use to pick songs. A few days before the wedding when I was very stressed out, John called me and just said 'I'm ready for your wedding and it's going to rock'. After chasing down vendors and making a million phone calls, it was so nice to receive that phone call! Me and my husband both agreed John is very professional. Day of he was everything I needed him to be, calm, professional and very fun! We could not have been more pleased with JD Entertainment, and our amazing DJ, John DeVergilio! When we first signed our initial contract, he took his time explaining everything that would be included in our package, additional upgrades and extras that we could get, and how to use the online portal to plan our playlist. As the day approached, he was very thorough with assisting us in the day of timeline for our reception. He also made sure to clarify all of the names of our bridal party, and other notables that he would be announcing. When the big day came, he was sure to walk us through every step of the way. It helped us to keep our cool through such a hectic time, and would make sure that it was okay to start announcing the first dance, garter & bouquet toss, etc. We did something a little different at our wedding, and had my cousin perform live for the father/daughter, mother/son dance which was something extremely special for us, and a huge surprise for our families. He did such a wonderful job announcing their performance, and assisting them in setting up their equipment. Scott was our DJ for our 9-10-11 wedding.. Man did he he do his job.. Very well!! There could not have been a better choice for our wedding! First he met us outside and orginzed all the wedding party, made sure he was pronouncing all the names correctly. The dinner music genre I gave him he did great with! My ceremony had ran over an hour past what it was supposed to, and thanks to Scott he calmed me down by letting me know that cutting out a few things at the reception is ok.. If we are ready to party then let's do it! My mother wasn't even there for my grand enterance, and her boyfriend was supposed to do our blessing.. So that got cut out, and later in the night I had friends and family that made us do our toss of the gaurder and boquet, 30 minutes before the reception was over and Scott had it happen with no hesitation! I failed to mention that we didn't do our wedding photos at the ceremony because of the awful delay, so I was ready to cry cuz I just wanted to enjoy my reception and couldn't... Scott went to te bar and brought up a jug of shots and glasses to where we were doing our photos for us.. I think I did about 4 In A row and was smiling for all my photos after that! Lol... Not to mention Scott showed up looking very nice in his suit and purple tie! All the girls made him blush when he met us outside when we all arrived.. Haha they were all complimenting his getup! Loved his smile :) I think that made it easier on him that we were so late! JD Entertainment was the DJ for my wedding. We had the planning session with our DJ and felt we were in good hands. The night of the wedding, he announced us by the correct names then spent the rest of the night mispronouncing my husband's name and our last name. We survived, but what really bothered me was that when I gave them that feedback after the wedding, I heard NOT A SINGLE WORD back from them. No oops, sorry, nothing. We are so incredibly pleased with John and his DJ, lighting, and emcee services at our wedding (July 2016)! John and his company made the whole entire process so easy and stress-free. From setting up appointments to meeting at the offices to discuss our entire event (going through the music changes and recommendations and lighting options) to the entire event itself, it all went so well- we couldn't have asked for anything better. We love that they offer online access to fill out bridal party names, the order of the events, and, of course, the music. It was great having such a large song library to choose from plus having a variety of recommendations for special songs. We also really appreciated that they could incorporate our own music into the mix (Croatian music for my side of the family). That was really important to us.
