I have been going there for over a year and a half buying my meat only there and nowhere else. My brother picked up lean ground beef today and when he brought it home, I was going make supper, it was a beautiful red colour on the outside and inside it was a ugly grey colour and it had a bit of a smell to it and I was dissatisfied. I have never experienced that before with Miller's Meats, I've always gone there. Their meat has always been excellent, and I was very happy going there, however, this time i was unhappy! when meat is a greyish color, . It usually means it was out in oxygen or in the air too long and it's not safe to eat. I've never experienced that before. Their meat has always been excellent. I was very very happy! I asked my brother to take it back it was around, I don't know $13 or something like that and I wrote on the rapper that it's grey inside and it should be red right through.... My brother FaceTime me from there and I told the guy I was just not satisfied this time and I asked him for fresh meat, and he started telling me that it was made that morning nothing is wrong with it blah blah blah. So I said to him I've always gone there. I don't buy my meat from anywhere else. So I asked him for fresh meat and he said he's going to have to charge me again, and I said for what because I was unhappy with it and I didn't like the colour of it and there was a bit of a smell, and he said there's nothing wrong with the meat. I explained to him I don't want my brother to be driving around with raw meat back-and-forth and please can I just get fresh stuff? his comment back to me ' then you should go somewhere else to buy your meat'. He was very sarcasticwhen he said it Yeah, that was his Customer Service to me and I told him I was upset with that and I was a customer there for a long time, it didn't matter he told me to go somewhere else. Very, very rude.!! and unprofessional, I cannot believe that! Before I was going to Miller's Meats when I went to the grocery store to buy meat and if something was wrong with it, they never commented anything rude to me! They never said nothing to my brother or I and they would just say go pick up some more meat or go and get whatever you want and we'll just exchange it. That is Customer Service and that's how you keep your customers just filthy of him to say that to me very disrespectful.

Anxious when I passed the perimeter. But seconds later I spotted the sign. I guess if you're going to offer meats from locally raised, free range animals I guess you better be close to the farmers. Frigs commitment to quality is perhaps unparalleled. They buy from Manitoba farmers, butcher everything on site, cure their own meats in a smoker out back using hickory and mesquite (no nitrates here), and guarantee that everything is gluten free (no filler!). In an almost uncomfortably small space, they manage to stock an extensive supply of product including all the usual cuts of bison, from steaks to burgers. But there were a few surprises too including corned bison and an intensely smoky, sweet bison bacon that I dream about to this day. My head exploded when I found goose, and I was also delighted finding elk from not too far away Stonewall which I made my purchase of the day turning it into one the best meatloaves I've ever made. If you're still a little skittish about those wild meats, there's still a full selection of beef and pork in all the obligatory cuts, but after spending a few minutes in Frigs, these somehow seemed borderline boring.

Their summer "camping"/"cottage" packages are also an excellent grab when you're on the way out of the city and in a rush. You simply walk in and ask for the package and off you go. Brocoli is one of the ingredients and they missed the mark. All that they used with the cheese were big thick stems. Made them inedible and we threw them out.
