I had always been curious of this little shop on Maryland with the nice mural on the side. This place is located just south of west broadway in a small building where the place is literally crammed with a million items. It's a bit of a sensory overload since I wasn't looking for anything in particular. There were lots of naan, pita and fresh injeera available! There was quite the selection of halal all beef salami, mortadella, and even bologna (who knew that existed as halal!). There were several types of middle eastern cheeses like halloumi. Lots of spices, canned goods, Turkish items, and frozen meat. Service is very friendly as one staff member offered to give me a tour of the place when I had more time. There were some prepared samosas and rotis (veg and meat filled) selling at the front near the cashier. Parking is available behind the store and on the side street for an hour.

I seen a small stick of Chorizo marked at $0.40 so I told the clerk I wanted to buy that piece of Chorizo, he took it and changed the price to ove $9. I told him as it was priced already we should be able to purchase at the price advertised on the piece on meat. He refused, it is bad enough that grocery are over priced as it is to have business's not following Scanning Coxe of Practice which is legally enforced. Not impressed with the un proffessionalism of this establishment especially when we buy majority of pur meats from them. Maybe will have to think twice before going back.

Hello all, I ordered some cold cut platters from Gabe's meats. At first sight the platters looked…read moreamazing but up close they were disgusting!!! Kinda looked like they were prepared 2 or 3 weeks in advance. The meat was dry and smelt funny, the pickles were sour and soft, also the cheese had dirt all over it!!! We were not impressed. When I called Gabe's I got the owner and operator of Gabe's meats on the phone, he was very rude and aggressive over the phone and he refused to give me a refund. We had to go with someone else at the last minute! I don't know how an idiot like this is still operating??? I strongly recommend that no one purchases anything from this poor excuse of a meat shop thank you very much.
