We also needed someone to paint the entire house, including the eaves, wood windows, trim, and exterior doors. As the project progressed, we also added on removing a window, re-siding the back of our house (a long wall without stucco), installing a new back door, and replacing our old garage door with a brand new one. Through all these changes, Daniel and sons rolled with the punches and delivered an absolutely gorgeous end product. They even consulted on paint colors, and I could not be more satisfied with the results. As a bonus, Daniel and his sons are just the nicest people you'll meet (and you will meet ALL four sons). I'm originally from the Midwest, and they reminded me of everyone I know from back home - friendly, honest, and always up for a chat. They stopped by the house every day to check on progress, and I feel like I really got to know them. A++ communication. Don't hesitate to call these guys! I know they sound too good to be true, but I promise, I'm a paying customer. They were just great to work with.

Also on one of the posts there was a large crack in the wood, but that was sealed as well. For the price, I think this was a pretty good value. Would definitely recommend for smaller jobs like mine.

I first contacted a local company, but they weren't very responsive--and I quickly realized I couldn't move forward with my insurance claim without the help of a reliable roofer. That's when I found Final Touch Roofing, and I honestly feel so lucky I did. Ovi and Lia are absolutely the best. Lia, especially, was incredible--always available, always clear, and patient in explaining every step. Dealing with insurance was overwhelming, but Lia and Ovi guided me through the entire process and helped me submit every detail needed. Lia is also one of the most organized and reliable schedulers I've ever worked with. She always let me know exactly when we could talk and what to expect. Their pricing was clear and very reasonable--no surprises. Once construction started, Ovi made sure everything ran smoothly. The team they brought in was respectful, punctual, fast, and cleaned up beautifully once the job was done. This truly feels like a family-run business you can trust. I'll definitely be recommending Final Touch Roofing to everyone I know, and they'll always have my business. 5 stars without a doubt!

(2 of 2) The Company: Typical "evil landlord" fare. They…read morehave the usual disdain for their customers that most LA landlords do. They raised rents while under an LA Rent Stabilization Ordinance that prevents such rent increases and when a handful of people called them out for it they said it was raised in "Error" and those that didn't call them out on it continue to pay it. They're making thousands of dollars in extra rent from tenants that are simply unaware of the ordinance. Additionally, they have units that are just converted common areas and off the books, and rent units as "2 bedrooms" even though the second bedroom isn't up to city code to be used as a bedroom. When challenged by the city they ask effected tenants if they can move beds out the illegal bedroom for inspection day. The whole company is essentially just 3 or 4 people and they're complete luddites (hence the laughable .jimdo website). There are no modern business technologies used in any way. Not even shared online documents. They email unformatted word files back and forth to each other to edit like it's the 90s. And their aversion to modern tech trickles down to tenants. No (or awful) online payment systems, no tenant portal for repairs or maintenance, no key fobs, no Amazon lockers or similar package system, dated garage and elevator security systems, etc. They're unwilling to grow with the times and because of it everyone's job is so much harder then it needs to be which makes them all miserable, which in turn makes them rude, unprofessional bullies to everyone they come in contact with. Every employee/contractor has disdain for the office. I've never heard a single kind word about any of them. "Toxic Work environment" is an understatement. The owner is unaware, stubborn, and completely out of touch. The "vice president" who mostly runs the show thinks she's big business but she acts like a little kid playing "corporation." She has no idea what she's doing and mostly just makes it up as she goes along with about a 4th grade reading and writing comprehension. She constantly excuses her poor performance by saying "I have SO many buildings!" or "Do you know how many tenants I have?!" And doesn't understand that all she's doing is admitting to being bad at her job and confirming there is a lack of professional corporate infrastructure. The maintenance supervisor is an unpleasant, rude, robot of a human with even worse reading and writing comprehension. The in-house maintenance team are kind people, but mostly untrained handymen with no specific areas of expertise, and they have no training in customer service. I once watched a service man "fix" a stuck door by pulling a box cutter out of his pocket and hacking away at the edge of the door like a boyscout with a stick, completely ruining it. It's all just bandaids on broken limbs. The leases contain covenants that don't legally hold up because they directly break California tenant laws, including only accepting notices to vacate on the first of the month and never charging partial months which only serves to make them more undeserved money. Lastly, the building management system itself is set up so that on-site resident managers have to act as go-betweens for all tenants and the office, but are given no actual support or aid to do so effectively or easily. The office tries to micromanage all of the unimportant things like their nonsensical "formatting" of documents and basic email correspondence (which is hilarious considering they're terrible writers with poor grammar), but they have absolutely no interest in aiding or overseeing ACTUAL issues because that would mean they'd have to actually problem solve and deal with people which they are unwilling to do. Managers are barred from giving tenants the office's information. The office wants credit for being leaders but has no ability or interest to actually lead. Everything is the managers' fault, even when it isn't. This managerial system is also bad for the tenants because if they have an issue with a manager or a problem that a manager cannot help with, the tenants have no recourse. I could go on. And on. And on. I could write a book. This entire organization is a dumpster fire and if you've gotten this far in reading this, I hope you'll save yourself any further time and headache and stay as far away as possible in all regards.

I had a generally positive experience working with Vlad and his company. Vlad was very responsive,…read morecommunicated clearly throughout the project, and stuck closely to the agreed scope of work. My main concern was that the work became rushed toward the end. The biggest issue was with the polyaspartic garage floor coating. Properly stripping and sanding the broadcast flakes is one of the most important steps, and unfortunately it wasn't done thoroughly. There were multiple sections inside the garage where flakes were left protruding enough to catch on a mop, and the outside concrete slab extension was never properly sanded along the edge before the final coat, leaving a rough, unfinished appearance. I ended up spending a couple of days sanding those areas and applying another top coat myself. That same attention to detail was missing during the smart lock installation. The installer was clearly rushing, dismissed my suggestion to check the manufacturer's instructions, and insisted he knew what he was doing. The lock initially failed its self-test, and although he made a few adjustments, I could tell he was still rushing through it. Frustrated, I told him to leave it and that I would finish it myself. After they left, I discovered the lock wasn't working properly at all. I ended up removing it completely and reinstalling it over the weekend, following the manufacturer's instructions, modifying the door so the deadbolt could fully extend without friction, installing the correct strike plate, and getting everything working as intended. To Vlad's credit, he offered to come back and reinstall the smart lock properly and to inspect the garage floor after I raised my concerns, which I appreciated. That's why this is still a 4-star review instead of a lower rating. Overall, I would work with Vlad again because of his communication, responsiveness, and willingness to stand behind the job. That said, next time I would make sure every agreed detail is documented in writing, and I would not make the final payment until the garage floor had fully cured and I had the opportunity to do a complete walkthrough with Vlad. Since you can't walk on a freshly applied polyaspartic top coat, the floor couldn't be properly inspected until after it had cured, and by then the issues with the finish had become apparent.

They were one of the more expensive quotes that we got, but we were willing to pay more for good quality work. The work involved the installation of a new driveway gate, and two side gates on the walkway side of the house. The problems that we experienced with this company: 1. They left an oil stain (that cannot be removed to this day) on our newly paved driveway. 2. They drilled holes on the side of the house to look for a place to anchor but could not use them. They did not bother to cover up the holes until we said something. 3. We went with a black trim steel frame and vinyl panels on the inside. The panels were of very poor quality and probably very cheaply made. Many panels were bowing out and the color was uneven. Some panels had cinch marks from the welding. It rained right after the installation of the gates, causing many rust spots on the frame, and rust to bleed onto the newly paved driveway. 4. They agreed to replace the bad panels and fix the rust marks on the frame. In the beginning, we were told that work was not contracted out to other contractors (except for the electrician) but a different third party came to do the welding and panel work. It took ~2 months for them to get and install the replacement panels. 5. Unfortunately, right after the replacement and repair job, it rained again. New rust marks from the welds appeared and stained more of our newly paved driveway and newly cemented walkway. These gates cannot withstand a single day of rain without rusting. The good work: 1. The electrician who installed the electronic gate opener did quality work. Any holes he made or conduit he ran matched the gate and showed no signs of rust marks from rain. The gate still works well after 4 months.
