The project was more complicated than a typical roof replacement because some beams and slats under our carport had rotted, a couple had termite damage, and we'd been dealing with some leaks in that area. Some other roofing companies had told me it was too challenging for them, but O'Neal Jr Roofing handled all of it with great skill, replacing the damaged areas, eliminating the leaks, and making everything solid again. Before the work even began, they took the time to help me decide between metal and dimensional shingles, clearly explained the pros and cons, discussed color and shape options for the metal panels, and patiently answered all of my many questions. They also told me early on about the My Safe Florida Home state grant program, which I hadn't heard of before, and guided me through getting started. We ended up qualifying for the grant, which made the project much more affordable, and I would not have known about it without their help. They handled all the permitting and inspections, kept me informed throughout, and came back promptly to address a few small concerns after the main work was done. The finished roof looks beautiful, the leaks are completely gone, and we're loving the sound of the rain on the new metal roof. After their insurance company denied the claim, they stopped responding entirely, forcing us to file an uninsured motorist claim with our own insurance.
