They are responsive - phone calls are always answered or, at worst, returned the same day. They are polite and professional - and we always get straight answers. There has never been an "upsell" - we've never been told that we need a new roof. The message has always been - this is what's broken and here's how we fix it. I always get a detailed (and understandable) report, usually with arial photos taken by drone. Work has always been done on time and professionally. Once repairs were made we've never had a problem in the same general area. Finally, Mike is the consummate professional. He is a true professional and gentleman. I cannot offer higher praise.

Today (Palm Sunday) we had a leak in the part of the roof Mike hadn't originally installed. I gingerly texted Mike to ask his advice. What I got back was well more than anything I could have expected. Mike called to tell me his supervisor, Travis, was already en route to our house. I then got a call from Travis saying he was twenty minutes out. 18 minutes later, he was at the door. He reviewed the leak inside, got his ladder and climbed up the roof and within ten minutes, was back down and showing me pictures of where he'd determined a dryer vent had let water in. Mike called me back to tell me he had a team he could send. Now. I told him it's Palm Sunday, I don't want to take your guys away from their families. Mike said, they are busy all week, this is my best chance to get this fixed. It won't take more than four hours. I agreed and within an hour, there they were at the door, ready to go. They cleared the tile, laid proper under layers - three layers in total. Then buttoned it all up again and were done within two and a half hours. I got a full set of pictures from Mike explaining every step of what was done. All this would be great on a weekday. But a Sunday? Palm Sunday? I am just in awe. From a customer perspective, it's like having a choice of hiring superheros like Mike and his team, or saying no thank you - I prefer the usual sheisters and snake oil salesmen that typically make up the roofing business. You can spin the wheel and take your chances - but for me - I just feel damn lucky to have found someone who provides this level of service and this quality of work all for a really modest price.

I was referred to this company by my lender. We had more than one company come out to give us…read morequotes, but our initial contract at Neal was awesome, and completely sold us. He listed off all the benefits, repeatedly, measured our roof, and spent lots of time with us answering questions. The job itself was done very quickly. I've never gotten a new roof before so I have zero comparison. I trust that they fulfilled their job and gave me a wonderful roof. I do have some feedback for Neal, and I hope this constructive criticism can help them: As soon as our contract was signed, we were not smoothly transferred to our next point of contact at the company. For updates, we of course contacted our initial contact, who explained that he was the salesperson, and now I would have to get my info from a different department. He was very nice about it, and did help me later on (thank you!), and again, he was an incredible and knowledgeable salesperson. But Neal dropped the ball with leading me to the next step, next communication, and next point of contact in this process. I didn't know that the initial contact was not to be my point person all the way throughout. I called the company directly to find out when my permit would be approved, and the person who answered the phone she told me that it had already been approved. I asked when they were going to let me know this, and she flat out told me that they only do this for customers who pay (my loan paid everything in full after the job was completed). This was not a great thing to hear! She meant well, and she kindly explained that they contact those clients because they need to collect payment for the permits, but not a great start to chapter 2 in the process. After that, I still never had a consistent point of contact, and received messages from different people in the company. Multiple Neal representatives consistently texted my phone directly with the intro of: I am FIRSTNAME with Neal Roofing. It would be helpful for them to include their job title! After my roof was done, I called in to Neal to find out when they would send out the wind mitigation inspection that my salesperson had told me was part of what I would pay for. The office person looked up my contract and informed me that they do not pay for this and it was not in my contract. Luckily, I contacted my salesperson and he really came through and arranged this inspection. I am glad I didn't listen to the office person! I really hope these details can help the company with their communication.

I spoke to Mark Griffith on the phone and let him know about the details of the home and that I had a limited inspection period and he said he was available the following Tuesday and I told him that wouldn't work because I am coming from out of town Tuesday night and wanted to be present during the inspection. He then said Wednesday. I called to confirm the next Monday and he then said Wednesday is booked and it would be Thursday at 10AM instead. I agreed. I went to the property at 10AM Thursday and waited until about 10:20AM at which time I called him. To my surprise he acted like he didn't know who I was and then hesitated and said "Oh, I inspected that property yesterday" He said he sent a 'confirmation email' (which I didn't receive and it's not a confirmation if you are changing an appt btw) I told him I wanted to be present as I had made clear before and he responded "inspections are not a social type of thing" and if after reading through the report if you have any questions, let me know and I'll come back to walk through with you. I was livid since I had made my trip down from up north just to be present at the inspection of the house which costs in excess of 600k. I looked at the report and many of the pictures were grainy and the descriptions were vague. Some of the numbers did not make sense so I had to call up contractors to essentially do the job I hired this horrible company to do as he did not answer phone calls nor emails after he received payment. I would avoid this inspector at all costs! Do yourself a favor and find someone else. I have had several home inspections over the years and every one of them was done professionally and I was present and the inspectors answered questions I had with regard to the report. People like this should be put out of business as they give other decent people in the construction industry a bad name. Do yourself a favor and find another inspector!

Even though they advertise, that they will temporary fix a leak during this process they did nothing. A total lie. It's been over a week now and I haven't heard a thing from them or any estimate for the re-roofing. Obviously, this company is incompetent and I would strongly advise you to stay away from them.
