This Winners was a shoe store (I'm thinking it was Globo) when this plaza first opened. I remember not enjoying my experience at this shoe store because there weren't any women's size 11 footwear to delight me. I am grateful for this Winners. I came here after work on a Thursday. I found a parking spot fairly close to the store and backed into it. I then walked in. I hit the jewellery section first. This store has a lot of fun pins. I loved the lobster and crab ones. The problem? I don't wear pins often. If I did, I would have bought them. This store had some great finds. I got a pair of tweezers with strawberries on them for $5. They work well! I liked the drinkware section. From glass tumblers to martini glasses, it has everything for everyone. The shoe section was fabulous. The women's size 11 section was amazing. I ended up getting a lightweight pair of Converse high-top sneakers with floral embroidery. They felt so good when I tried them on. I will say that putting away items needs help here. I had to move a stack of clothing on a bench so that I could sit down and try on the sneakers. I put them on the floor. Once I was done trying them on, I scooped up the pile of clothing and placed them bak on the bench. I was in the footwear section. Clothing shouldn't be there. The washrooms are at the back of the store. I didn't need to use the washroom, but it was good knowing its location. I also got a bag of Pur gum in grape. I like that this gum is sugar-free. I forget that the flavour dies fast. There wasn't a massive lineup at the checkout. I got a friendly man who scanned my Style+ card, followed by my items. I tapped my credit card to pay for my items. Done! He wished me a happy day. I reciprocated and left with my goods. I'm glad that I got to revisit this store. It's decent. I'd return again when I'm in the area. (195)

It's part of parent TJX Companies holding that also includes Marshalls & HomeSense so you might notice some similarities in how all these stores is layed out. Winners stores have brand name clothing, footwear, bedding, furniture, fine jewellery, beauty products, and housewares. The consumer target market is drop-in customers as you can't shop on-line (...which is currently the case). On any given week they can stock a product you may never see stocked again. Other Winners stores may not have the same product on hand. If you like it, then I suggest you buy as you can always return it if you change your mind. My sweetie completed her professional browsing in under 25 minutes! She found a few things...but wanted more. Maybe next time...

Unfortunately you can't return from either store as I tried my luck at Dynamite first and was told to go to Garage for the return. The returns process is really easy when you're returning online. You just need to show the QR code that is at the bottom of the shipping confirmation. They scan that in store, input a reason for the return, and you receive your refund to your card. While I was there in store, I was asked by at least 3 different employees on the floor to see if I needed help - whether I needed a fitting room or any help with sizes. They were very complimentary with the shoppers in the store offering praise on outfits and wishing people well as they were entering and leaving the store. There were a lot of sales going on at the time but they still had areas with new arrivals. I liked that the clearance items were labelled well so you knew how much everything was up front.

They have a variety of Asian beauty and care products such as skincare, makeup, soap, lotion, face masks, hair accessories, and even plushies, snacks, and dishware. The selection all looks cute and makes me want to buy everything. Hopefully the products I bought were good too. Fingers crossed! My favourite part of this visit was that the employees weren't trying to upsell or follow you around to try to get you to buy something but they were THERE and present and AVAILABLE if you had any questions and they were able to provide helpful answers. She quickly browsed the large brightly lit store, picked up a shoe, spun it around and returned it to the display. Repeat action. Repeat action. Let's go. I'll come back! Wow! Work hubby is fun and it only cost me my time and not my wallet!

I can't really pin down the style since they have a bit of everything. They had a pretty wide selection of Ivey league shirts from Harvard and Yale...and then also ones from UCLA. Not sure what the connection was there. In the same section they had a Philadelphia Eagles shirt - no other football teams though. They have the business as usual kind of clothes with different blazers and other work wear as well as party style outfits that would be nice for NYE. They still also have their Divided line. I was also shopping for a baby shower so I was looking for kids clothing. They have sizes ranging from baby to child. The baby stuff was mostly in neutral palettes with stylish cuts with tasteful prints which seemed suited for both boys and girls. The prices also didn't seem too bad compared to children's only stores.

When my friend from grade 7 and her husband had tied the knot several years ago, they wore matching Blue Jays jerseys (classic white home ones) to officially mark that they were a married couple. I went to a Jays game a few month back as part of a work event. I visited the Jays store. I found lots of jerseys. They were expensive starting at $300. I ended up getting a t-shirt that was more my price point. The Shopping Channel is running a sale on Jays apparel. There's a 15% discount. I found a jersey that I liked. It was $249. It was still ridiculously expensive for me to splurge. My goal: Find a Jays jersey that doesn't break the bank. I did a search. I found SVP Sports selling the same Jays jersey for $159. Nice! I didn't buy it online. I saw that this store had many jerseys available. I decided to pay this store a visit last Friday night. The SVP Sports store used to be at Woodside Square. It has since moved to a larger location at McCowan Road and Milner Avenue. It's in a plaza with Winners, Starbucks, Mr Sub, and more. It was raining. I parked fairly close to the building. I then walked into the store. Happiness was seeing powder blue jerseys on my right. They were indeed authentic Blue Jays jerseys. Yay! The original price was $200. It was indeed marked down to $159. There was a further reduction. This jersey was going for $79. One word: Wow! I wanted a jersey without any player's number on the back. I tried on two different sizes. As I was trying one of them on, a female sales associate asked if I needed any help. I let her know that I was okay trying on one of the jerseys. She was being helpful. I frankly wanted to be left alone to figure out my size. Sometimes, it's better to let the customer tell you whether she needs assistance and to leave her be. I found the jersey of my dreams. I was elated! There are change rooms at this store. I didn't need one, as it was easy to try on a jersey over my t-shirt that I was wearing. This store has a lot of merchandise that is heavily discounted. I saw NHL caps of all Canadian teams. It hit me that I don't own a Winnipeg Jets cap. I got one for $19. Unheard of! I lined up at the checkout. There were cameras everywhere. I suppose that prices are so cheap on sports clothing, caps, backpacks, and more that theft is an issue. I got a nice woman at the checkout. She asked if anyone had helped me. I said no. She apologized. She didn't need to. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was great. She let me know what the score was between the Jays and Mariners. It was game 5 in Seattle, with the Mariners leading by 1. Sadly, the Jays lost this game. However, the team ended up winning the entire series. I love my jersey and cap. They are comfy to wear and I didn't break the bank. I'd return for the deals. They are great. The quality of my purchases was excellent. (387)

Visiting SVP Sports was like a journey back in time!! Here you will find "Vintage" brand new hockey…read morejersey from NHL teams that no longer exist for years.... Quebec Nordiques with their last season back in 1994/1995, that was over 20 years ago! There are also some "Vintage" NBA and MLB jerseys! If you do want something for casual shinny hockey maybe fine, as the price is good. I would not say it feels like shopping at Value Village, but you did need to go through a lot of merchandise to find something that you might want to pay for it. Security measure here is quite high. Seems like shoplifting has been a big problem for management?
