After a quick inspection they were able to determine the cause and had it fixed within an hour. They also noticed that my down spout wasn't set up correctly and fixed that as well. The day arrived for our appointment, it was a cold rain, and it was very evident that he was not prepared (in how he was dressed to inspect outdoors), nor did he seem to care less to have our business. He provided some alternative (interim/band-aid) methods in 'managing' the issue indoors, drill holes to let the water run down below the floor (drain off). He seemed rather in a hurry (didn't want to get his senior head wet; that's the message he literally gave us) and didn't even show interest when I had other concerns at the back of the house. Within the next couple of days it continued to rain and our back window well filled, causing other issues that he did not address with us. We ended up going with a competitor who was fair, friendly, helpful and interested in having our 'little job' business.

Our technician unfortunately seemed lazy and to only want to push further sales for the company. When we contacted the company about this, they brushed us off and denied the misdiagnosis. To further this bad experience our technician Benoit (who is also apparently the service manager) also forgot to take payment when he left - we expected to be billed online/by email. We were instead harassed via text to make our payment or be sent to collections, rather aggressively - completely to our surprise. Apparently payment was expected on-site, meanwhile we were never even asked for it. The entire experience seemed messy and unprofessional, especially coming from a "service manager". I wouldn't recommend going with Eden Air unless you absolutely have to, and maybe get a second opinion, like we did.

We've been using Glenn's services for a few years now and wouldn't use anyone else (Glenn owns and…read moreis pretty much the entire business; he has mentioned taking on employees occasionally but have always worked with him). He rents out air conditioners, services them and installs them. His reputation is so well known that, when we told our landlord that Glenn installed the unit, he decided to forego the usual inspection because "oh, if it's him, I know it was installed properly." For years, there was no fuss. Then, one summer, there just was problems. First, one of the air conditioners (we rent two) was spitting water and he came within days to switch it out. That same summer, wicked wind storms ripped out the plastic he boards the window with. He lives out of town, so cannot be there immediately but offered to drive the 2 hours immediately if there was an urgent danger (it was 2000 hours when we called). Since there was not, he rearranged a trip to be sure to come in the morning, so the window would be safely sealed with extra seals. It worked well and lasted the rest of the summer (and he followed up to check). The next year, he had come up with a new installation involving more wood to prevent reoccurrence. He is a kind man who is very welcome in our home. We have great chats while he does his work. We don't hire him just because we need an air conditioner- in two summers, you could have bought one - but for the service he provides in servicing, storage and installation. He knows we, like most, hire him for the service, especially since air conditioners and windows are heavy and we're disabled. In fact, this year, he mistakenly brought the wrong equipment upstairs to de-install (he had momentarily forgotten we were the customers with the custom installation, not standard) and we offered for him to borrow our unused drill to save time going all the way down to the parking garage. Upon hearing we hadn't used it and didn't know how, he showed us some basics as he did the task, so we could use it as the electric screwdriver our weak hands need. That was sweet. He's just that kind of guy. Kind and competent. That's what what you want from a contractor!

Oz showed up at my house within 3 hours of my call to check out my furnace which had died. He identified the issue and was also up to date on recalls and let me know that the part could be replaced free of charge. He ordered the part and three lovely gentlemen arrived the next morning and changed it out. I lost heat in the middle of a frigid Ottawa winter, and they had me up and running in no time. I called several different places to get quotes as I was originally told I would need a new furnace. Ercan was the only company that told me about the recall AND that the labour would be included. I was told by several others that the part would be free, but that the labour would cost thousands of dollars and so I was better off buying a whole new furnace. I now have a repaired furnace (that I will probably get about 5 more years out of) and it didn't cost me anything. I really feel that Ercan was more concerned with what was best for me and not what was going to make them the most money. If you have a problem with your furnace, you won't be sorry if you call Ercan.

I place Kevin, the owner, and his Deckify team at the very top of the list - they are fantastic. We hired Deckify to build a relatively complex 800 square foot deck around our new pool, and every step of the project went well, from the first phone call to Deckify to the follow-ups after the completion of the project. When we first reached out to discuss the project in March 2023, there was still a lot of snow on the ground.  While many companies told us to call back in the spring, Kevin came out to see us that very weekend.  He shoveled snow around our house and the old deck to make room to take measurements, spent a lot of time discussing the project with us, and immediately started designing the deck on his laptop to give us a sense of  options and prices.  We had a follow-up meeting a week later and, with Kevin's advice and guidance, found ways to adjust the design to meet our budget.  He then created a detailed project plan and work began as soon as the weather permitted.  The Deckify team and suppliers that they work with were all excellent - thank you to Danny, Franz, Evan, and everyone else involved.  The project took several weeks to complete, and communication was very good throughout.  We had to make a few adjustments along the way, and Kevin was very helpful and responsive in answering my many questions, always provided expert advice, and was very accommodating to make the required changes. The end result was excellent - a beautiful deck, built on time, on budget, and the entire process exceeded our expectations.  Overall very professional, friendly, flexible, responsive, competitively priced and all around terrific.
