The vision was there, the means to get there - quite overwhelming to say the least. And costly... until I met Juan through a reference. He stopped by a number of times as ideas changed. He painted the grass on different occasions to help stencil out what the area would look like. Time out of his day several times, which made us feel like he was invested. He even offered us meet him at a job he did recently to see the difference between pavers and stamped concrete. Zero pressure at any point in this process. He gave ideas, shared things to consider, went out of his way to adjust the underlying sprinklers where the patio was going and add where needed, installed conduit and electrical wire (in case future plans called for electrical installation), redesigned downspouts, and executed perfectly and professionally. Forgot to mention he mortared some seams of a bluestone walkway we have on property and patched some areas of a retaining wall that showed signs of age/cracks. Wait, it doesn't stop there. He asphalt seal coated my driveway when the backyard paver project was complete. And sodded an entire area of my yard as the final touch. This business is a team of 5 or 6 skilled hardscapers who work quick, efficiently, very masterfully in detail, and more than reasonable in cost. I had a handful of local companies, both big and small, come out to quote the job. Aucay wasn't even close to those premium quotes. Granted, every business has their costs of doing business, etc - but to have a guy (and business owner) like Juan assess and give a transparent price to project and 100% OKs to what you ask for, and be thousands cheaper than local competition, it's great to know that there are still excellent skilled yet reasonable to the wallet tradesmen out there! The vetting process of businesses takes time for any project, but trust me fellow neighbors and (googlers), if you are reading this review, you found an absolute gem in Aucay and I've saved you a lot of time, headache and anxiety for all your paver and concrete needs. 1000% recommend.
