Yesterday afternoon we were supposed to pick up a pre-ordered specific pinata and take it to Austin for our granddaughter's birthday party this morning. When we were ready to pick it up late yesterday afternoon, there had been a mixup on the order and they thought it was supposed to be for a later date . They pitched right in and worked on it overnight and even met us there before regular opening so we could get it to Austin in time for the party. It is dry, it is perfect. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE Also very talented with their creations. If you need a pinata for anything, this is the place to go!!!

I had no trouble finding a parking spot both times I went there Cost: The medium sized piñata I got was 27.06 with tax. It is an additional cost to purchase the stick. I believe the larger sized piñatas are 35. Inside the store you can find more than just piñatas. I saw some new year's eve decorations that were very affordable. They also have some candy for the piñata and other types of decorations and party favors. They even have baptism and Quincenera party favors. Overall: it's a very small boutique size piñata store but they do have a huge selection. They also custom make piñatas but make sure you call ahead or they will charge a rush fee Also when you pick up the piñata make sure you bring that recipe back!!

The company's automated system had a higher price then their website. It took them a while to…read morerespond but they did honor the lower price as listed on their home page without any argument. There was a delivery fee added that was not in the original quote but it was in line with their online policy. After I made this review they had sent me a series of emails complaining about how I worded the review. They tried to get me to change how it was written and felt that the fact they did not provide the delivery fee in the original quote would come across like they were hiding something. Have also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau Houston As an addition/update to my previous review I thought it important to note that there have been 18 previous reviews of KingKong Party Rentals and they have all been filtered out. What does filtered out mean? It means that Yelp has algorithms in place to prevent deceitful behaviors by businesses to put up fake or solicited reviews. While this does not affect most companies what is important to grasp from this is that EVERY positive review they received was filtered out due to this type of attempt at putting up fake reviews to make them look better than what they actually are. See the pattern? They are an untrustworthy company and you should spend your money elsewhere. New update...they have tried to post some more fraudulent reviews to their site to make themselves look better. They have had 20 filtered out now. This guy is a really deceitful person and you should avoid him.

They emailed a few days later stating the quote, and included instructions to reply within an hour to reserve the day and time I had requested, which I did - I responded as soon as I received a notification that I had an email. I received no response until the following morning. The email they sent me stated they were rechecking availability and would get back with me. What was the point in telling me to reserve within an hour (which I did) if they weren't going to reserve it? I responded asking for them to give me a call, or to respond with a number I could call, so that we could make the reservation over the phone. That no doubt would have been much easier and faster. I received nothing back and after 24 hours emailed them AGAIN stating that I would not be using their services after all. If you value your time, do not waste it trying to work with this company as they clearly do not want your business. A tip for the owner: invest in a business phone and actually use it. UPDATE: I received a plethora of e-mails, texts and phone calls from this company apologizing and how they did value my business. They had apparently experienced technical difficulties the previous day. Either way, I had already moved on to another company. Be aware that if you do choose book with this company, it will be mainly through text and e-mail. I am giving them 3 stars on customer service (a combination of before and after the issue) only because I never got a chance to experience the actual product. I may try them again in the future, just not this time.

Sorry this is going to be a little long…read more... I saw Sheila Burki Designs at a friend's weddings and was immediately enamored by their work. When they actually put in the effort, they do deliver and do good work. However, it does not account for the fact that they are the rudest and most arrogant people we have worked with during the entire wedding process. I didn't find a lot of reviews about them online when we booked, so I went in blindly. I hired them for two events - a reception and a dinner. The workers who did the setup showed up an hour late for the reception (their contract claims they need a min of 5 hours to do setup). But the setup was still done and it was done well. For our main event with more than 1000 guests in attendance, they provided the most pitiful backdrops and decorations. Our theme was greek and they promised columns, and they provided columns that didn't even come up to our waists for our entrance decorations. What is more, the decorations were messy, with chairs ripped and chandeliers falling off. The vines that they twisted around the venue pillars were messily and hastily done as well. When we called them out on it, they ignored our calls. They avoided our emails, texts, and multiple efforts to contact them. I had my sister call Bilal on a different number, and she was firm, but not only was he unprofessional and rude, but also hung up on her, claiming she 'assaulted' him. Excuse her for not letting him walk all over her and talk over her. I am the client and I paid them to do a service, and if they did not deliver, I expect some form of reimbursement. She said as much and their side got very defensive and even blocked us. What followed was a series of picture justifications nitpicking at different excuses to avoid their taking responsibility for any of the mishaps. First they claimed we didn't give them access to the venue for over 2 hours and when we showed them proof, they changed their argument. Very early on, my photographer had mentioned that these guys had a bad reputation within the communities that she had photographed for. I had brushed her off, saying that I had really good initial experiences with them (they were super nice at the first meeting), but that thought completely changed once I gave them all the money. For those thinking about hiring Sheila Burki Designs, I would strongly reconsider. They are arrogant, rude, and do not give the type of service that they promise their clients. They charge pretty high prices (and in full upfront before the actual event) and then screw you over and blame the entire thing on you. If they can't find a fault in you, they'll blame your caterers or venues or other items and will deflect responsibility at all costs instead of working with integrity and giving respect to their clients. They are petty and will disrespect you and argue with you on every detail, so I would first consider talking to them and figuring out whether you want to entrust such a big life event in the hands of people who can't even do business as professionals, let alone have a adult-like discussion where both parties openly talk about what went wrong. In all the conversations we had with them, they kept throwing insults and telling us to look up words, which is no way to talk to a person, let alone a customer. They were also one of the only decorating services that asked for all the money up front. If you don't have any other option but to book them, I would recommend paying half before and half after the services have been delivered so you dont lose thousands of dollars like i did. I hope my review will help someone save the loss that we faced. There are a million and one amazing wedding decorators in Houston who can provide the same level of décor and beauty at your event and still stay in your budget, who will also respect your time and money. Stay away from this one, folks. Tl;dr... go somewhere else... these people will screw you over.
