Our family of 6 is spread out across the country with 4 of us in Raleigh, NC - 1 in New Jersey - and 1 in Arizona. We needed a true professional also considering we had not taken family pictures in nearly 4 years. I sent Kandi a message and within minutes I received a message back with her contact information. When I contacted her she was so detail oriented and wanted to know about all four of our girls, style in our home, possible colors I was interested in wearing, etc. Honestly, Kandie was easy to talk to and made me feel like I was chatting with an old friend. My wife and I got married in the Florida Keys and they traveled down to shoot our wedding for us. They are an absolute killer duo. To start, they were both amazing to work with, super easy to contact, so dang friendly and welcoming. I couldn't think of two better people to capture our big day. Photo and video were such a big thing for us on our wedding day, and even though we've seen so much of their work and loved it, they legit blew us away with their talent and expertise. They kept the energy so light and fun during our newlywed photos after a high stress few hours prior. They put on some of our favorite music so we could feel ourselves and loosen up during our photos. They are also both super LGBT friendly. My wife and I were super worried about who we were going to book since we are gay and we wanted to be comfortable. They were an instant vibe, sooo friendly, supportive, gay friendly and never made us feel weird for a single second (which is huge when you're being photographed)!!! They were there for us through the whole planning process to look out for us and lead us in the right direction with our timeline, etc. The ALSO partied harddddddd with us on the dance floor and made sure to capture the sickest dance floor shots for us which was so important for us to hold onto so we could look back on. I had a very bad experience with this company. I brought a 40 year old photo from my wedding for…read morecolor balancing and to edit the picture. The original photographer failed to tell me that my jacket was askew. I have tolerated the look of the photo for many years, but finally took it into this shop to have it fixed. When I arrived to pick up the finished photo, the color was adjusted, but the jacket was not fixed the way I wanted it to be. The woman who did the work indicated that "you didn't tell me that is what you wanted." She made some small adjustment in the right side of the jacket, but it was not correcting the look so the jacket appeared closed and buttoned. The woman said "You didn't tell me that is what you wanted." I do believe that I said "fix the jacket." It would seem to me that she should have asked me what I meant by "fix the jacket" instead of assuming and making the minimal change she did. She then added "I would have had to charge you more to do that and it would have taken longer." At no point did I note that I needed this quickly or that cost was too high. If the person agreed to fix the problem, I would have not have been as disappointed. I had to pay for the work despite not getting what I wanted because she had my original picture. I have speculated since this incident that the person who did the work is not the owner of the shop (she indicated that Jon Reis is not there very much). I am not sure why she would not offer to fix the problem which I consider her error--not making sure she knew what I wanted done--but I strongly recommend that customers be very careful with this company because it is not a customer-service oriented group and the work I requested was inadequate.

DO NOT FOREGO the magic of a great photographer when planning your wedding! As the Groom, and I can speak for my Bride, the event went SO QUICKLY that we can barely remember any of it. That is, until you look at Leo's magical work. While he's "present" clicking away, he's not obtrusive in any way. Our wedding may have been different than some in that we didn't have many formal photos. With a few captured, we asked Leo to simply snap away and capture the feelings, emotions, new acquaintances, hugs, clinks, and conversations and the results were more than we hoped for.
