I had paradise resurface our hardwood floors a few months ago. We chose a much lighter stain than…read morewe previously had as well. Here's how it went: First the good. Communication as to when they would be here was decent and they were dedicated to completing the job in a timely manner. They also did a great Job of keeping the dust down when they sanded. Then the wheels fell off. I was told the process included taking the baseboards off. These were not removed which left some areas where stain was left all over the baseboards and other areas where you can still see the older, darker stain up against the boards. A few times, I brought this up to the worker and they retouched that area, but not all the rest of the areas that had visible dark stain. They were not very discerning or proactive in their quality. Additionally, the Bona Commercial grade HD top sealer was supposed to be the hardest stuff on the market. It's nowhere close. We've had these floors for 11 years and never had any issues with dents, grooves, or gouges until this project. And third, the worker told me I should be able to be on the floors in about 3 hours. So in 6 hours, I started moving furniture back onto the floor and promptly noticed deep grooves and dents from doing so. I will say the original quote said 72 hours. But who thinks to go back to the quote to find this information? So I asked the worker and 3 hours was the answer. Now I have grooves in my floor. When I brought this up to Peter, he got very defensive and out of frustration asked "what do you want me to do?" It's a tough question. Do I go through this painful process again by starting over? Or do I just deal with it? I chose to deal with it. But make sure others who may consider them understand what could happen. In conclusion, I certainly do NOT recommend paradise flooring as they cut corners and misrepresent the quality of their workmanship and materials.

They…read moreremoved tile in entry hall, sanded and refinished existing oak flooring in kitchen and dining area, changing the color to match the much lighter color that I chose for the family room, entry hall and dining room, and feathered the new floor into the existing wood flooring in kitchen. Dan listened well, did exactly what I asked, and he and Doug went above and beyond to minimize the mess that taking out a tile floor creates. David was very patient and helpful during the color selection, even though I was very anxious about making that decision, and he did a great job of staining in the custom color that I chose. The crew was very careful to leave no damage. The price was competitive. There were a couple of boards that I wasn't happy with and the problem was resolved to my satisfaction without my having to insist. Pryor really cares about customer service. I will definitely use them again in the future for any hardwood project.

Installed vinyl plank flooring…read more He threw the boxes of vinyl planks down on my upstairs floor, as if he were a roofer throwing bundles of shingles down on a roof. It was so hard that he shook the dome off my light fixture down below. The fixture broke, and Frenchy told me I could just superglue that back together ... and he thought that was fine. He was installing some of the planks in a room with a new sink. The room was under construction, and the sink wasn't attached yet. There was no drain, and no faucet. He filled up his water bucket in the shower, and instead of pouring that down that shower drain or the toilet when he was done, he poured it down the sink that had no drain. Water went all over the inside of my new cabinet, which he hardly wiped up. When I went down hours later to see how things were doing, the floor of my brand new thousand dollar cabinet was still covered in a half inch of standing water and the floor of the cabinet was ruined. He didn't think that was any big deal either. He used duct tape to hold down a transition piece. And when I pulled the duct tape up the next day, it pulled the finish off that transition piece. Brand new, and it was also trashed. The planks he laid look good, but he did so much peripheral damage, that I would never, ever recommend Frenchy. Post reply by owner: A few corrections to your reply: You did not offer to replace the vanity. You offered to lay vinyl plank flooring on the floor of the inside of the cabinet, to hide all the waviness from that water you poured down there having sat there. That plank flooring would have added bit of height to the floor, onto which the drawer mounts sat, which would have made the drawers not fit in the space. I left the sink drain in its packaging sitting inside that sink, so that it should have been obvious that the drain wasn't hooked up. And there is absolutely no excuse for your not having totally... totally... wiped up every bit of water you poured down there. You told me you thought you had cleaned it up pretty well. I don't know what a half inch of water standing on the cabinet floor could meet your definition of "pretty well". Even if you had offered to replace the entire cabinet, which you did not, that would have required me to redo all the tile work around the cabinet installation. I am bothered by your diminishing your having broken my kitchen light fixture. It doesn't matter if it was small or big. It was one of a group of nine can lights in my kitchen. HomeDepot no longer carried that exact style, so that I would have had to replace eight of them to match the one you would have replaced. I did not pull up that duct tape until after I had left the original review, so that was another piece of damage I found. I was just down there, cleaning the bathroom, getting ready for houseguest, and I got annoyed with you all over again. You were very careless in several ways that damaged my house. I think it's only fair to warn your customers that you could do that.
