Pryor Flooring did an excellent job of installing our red oak flooring. It was a big job. They removed tile in entry hall, sanded and refinished existing oak flooring in kitchen and dining area, changing the color to match the much lighter color that I chose for the family room, entry hall and dining room, and feathered the new floor into the existing wood flooring in kitchen. Dan listened well, did exactly what I asked, and he and Doug went above and beyond to minimize the mess that taking out a tile floor creates. David was very patient and helpful during the color selection, even though I was very anxious about making that decision, and he did a great job of staining in the custom color that I chose. The crew was very careful to leave no damage. The price was competitive. There were a couple of boards that I wasn't happy with and the problem was resolved to my satisfaction without my having to insist. Pryor really cares about customer service. I will definitely use them again in the future for any hardwood project. read more

I absolutely would not recommend hiring Pryors Floors. zero star would be a better review. Pryor did a huge project for us. The end result being their employees did a great deal of damage to our home during demolition. They left a huge mess of dust and damage to our custom wood panels and fireplace from sanding. They said the project would include cleaning which they did not do. We had to pay outside cleaners because the dust was everywhere. We had them install hickory floors and the floors were so poorly installed we asked them to redo and honor the warranty. we had a certified inspector who verified the poor quality work. The owner refused to repair the recommended fixes. It was a nightmare. The owner and representatives yelled at us when we pushed to have them honor their warranty. We chose to challenge them and had to have another company come in and do the extensive repairs to the floor and fix the damage to our home. read more

I'm not sure even where to start with this as this was the first time we have had a contractor damage our house and not repair it back to the state it previously was in. We hired Pryor Floor to install a wood floor in our living room and match it with the current wood flooring that exists throughout the house. We were referred to them by a designer that was helping us redesign our living room. Against my better judgment we went ahead with them without getting estimates or other bids since our designer had said that she had worked with them extensively and that they had done great work and would always "make good" if something was not to our liking. In our previous homes we had used Garrett Floor Restore which I highly recommend as he does most of the work for the Broadmoor but with this job I had trusted our designer's recommendations rather than going with my gut instinct. I will say Pryor did install the flooring and matched the stain correctly for the job they were hired. However the issue I have with this company is that the ceiling below where they installed the flooring they had damaged it significantly. The flooring was installed while we were out of town and I had brought up the issue once we returned. Their first response was that there "wasn't any possible way they could have damaged it." Which is ironic because we had just purchased this house in May it was fully inspected and there were no issues in the room they said they did not damage. (Trust me as new owners we would have noticed it.) Once I showed them the drywall that had fallen all over our furniture and the nail/staple holes in the ceiling the project manager said, "oh this doesn't happen often maybe one or two jobs a year." Which from his response I could tell this wasn't a one-time thing. Following this meeting the project manager asked if we would like to hire someone to fix it or he could have one of his guys "easily fix it." I said, "Whatever is easiest." I now regret allowing him to make the call on who could fix this issue. I'm not sure who they sent over to "repair" the ceiling but it was not someone who was skilled in repairing drywall or for that matter painting as you can see in the photos. In the repairs you can still see the holes and the paint doesn't match which make it look even worse. Following this I emailed the project manager and supplied photos of the work done. He asked me to get an estimate from a company we have used to paint our house when we moved in, which I did. The cost of repairs was $850. (The cost of the install of our floor was about $9000) I followed up a couple of times after providing them with the bid and was given email responses such as, "This is being reviewed by my manager we will be in touch soon." etc. Finally we received a letter in the mail (no call, no email, kind of cowardly if you ask me) stating their position that they did not damage our home and went "above and beyond" to fix the issue. There was also some line about how they pride themselves on their customer service which is this case I thought was kind of a bad joke. Anyway to make a long story longer. I would never recommend this company to work on any home. If you are looking for a great flooring company that is skilled about the work they do and thoughtful of your home I would recommend Garrett Floor Restore. Pryor Floor does decent work but god forbid they damage your home. They will try to wipe their hands clean of the situation which is not great customer service. read more

We hired this company to repair and refinish the floors in our new home in Colorado Springs and the stain didn't produce the color we wanted. We were going for a medium brown but ended up with very light brown with pink and orange tones. When we mentioned this to the owner, he became argumentative and said that's too bad, it's not their fault and they won't make it right. He said it was due to the variations of our wood but I think they should have mentioned that as a potential issue and provided some guidance during the consultation when we were choosing a color. We were instructed to choose a color based on a 1x1' sample of stain that was applied to the sanded floor. The gentleman applying the stain said it was brown and wouldn't have any red undertone and he was wrong. The finished floor is much different than the sample. We also ordered new wood vents to match the floor, the vents are the right color of brown but they don't match the rest of the floor. I noticed a complaint on BBB where a previous customer had the same issue. Very disappointing! read more

I need 0 stars. They knocked off parts of my kitchen and hid them in my laundry room!!! Pryor floors never mentioned any damages to me, apologized, or offered to pay for repairs. Then they moved my brand new dishwasher and left scratches all over. When they moved the dishwasher back they pinched the waterline and a professional had to move out, fix, and move the dishwasher back in. Pryor floors acknowledged all of these wrongs, but refused to do anything about it. I paid for the dishwasher repairs and the repairs to my kitchen,... and the full price for the work done to my floors. read more

We had Pryor remove a dated wood railing and refinish as well as rebuild our entry wood floors. I could not be happier with the results, the project really opens up the house. After so many years of do it yourself, what a difference Pryor made. i would definitely recommend them to friends and I have. The only reason they did not get a 5 is the scheduling took loner then was planned and that does happen when companies have multiple jobs going at the same time. read more

Pryor Floor did work at my home 5 months ago and it is great, I like it more each day, wish I had done it sooner. They added 500 sq ft of new hard wood, sanded the existing hardwood and they stained and sealed them to match, terrific job. The rooms look larger and warmer than the old carpet. I decided to wait a month to write this review. We replaced our old self installed already finished manufactured wood flooring--and Pryor installed new, then sanded it, then stained and finished. I was really concerned as to what my 90 pound lab was going to do to the new wood floor as the other one was trashed with scratches. While Pryor floor informed me that they could not guarantee against scratches--I am totally fascinated with the difference. My lab has been all over the new floors and they look as good as the day that Pryor finished them. No scratches. I had heard it is much better than wood flooring that is manufactured and already finished, and I really cannot believe the difference. Pryor floor gave me a great price. While I know they're busy, I didn't mind at all getting put on a schedule and waiting list. They came when they said they were going to be there and it went just like clockwork. I am one happy customer that will be recommending Pryor wood flooring to everyone. read more

On New Years Day a hose broke on the dishwasher and flooded the kitchen, part of the dining nook and part of the living room. The hardwood flooring in those areas had to be torn up by the remediation specialists and the subfloor dried out. Pryor Floor, as a subcontractor, had to feather new flooring in with the existing flooring, then sand, then stain, then finish all the flooring on the main floor of the house, approximately 550 sq ft. The results are beautiful. Even knowing where the feathering was done you cannot discern the new flooring from the old. The workmen were courteous and on time. Yes, we had to do some cleaning afterward but the Pryor workmen did a good job of cleaning up the mess, especially after the sanding. We would not hesitate to recommend Pryor Floor to anyone. read more
