The dentist was good but the woman at the front desk who runs the office was DREADFUL and completely destroyed my experience. She called me three times in one day asking me if I could come in earlier when I told her the first time that I was teaching and it was impossible. I had asked for an estimate for the work and was told it would be $450. When I got there they demanded $732 while I was sitting in the chair waiting for the work to begin. The whole procedure was 20 minutes. They then had some issue with my insurance but without talking to me, she ran my credit card for an additional $1052. They never spoke with me about it but just put the charge through as they already had my credit card. I asked repeatedly to just speak with the dentist.I dont know if she ever asked him to call me, or was just protecting herself as she knew how upset I was, but I never once got a return call from him. This has left a horrible taste in my mouth. There are great endodontists out there without this high maintenance and disgraceful experience. read more

Well as we know it is never fun going to the dentist; however, it is needed and if I have to go this is the guy I want working on me. In the past I have noticed that Dentists will push you for cleanings up-charges etc. It was such a pleasant experience meeting Dr. Berlin. Dr. Berlin performed a root canal last month on me and I have nothing but positive feedback for him. I had a root canal last year on a different tooth (from grinding teeth at night) with another endodontist (outside of his office) and I had a negative experience; the other endodontist trivialized my concerns. I have very long roots which presents an issue for any endodontist. Dr Berlin was able to perform the root canal in half the amount of visits the prior endodontist did it in and most importantly was great to work with, especially for anyone with anxiety related to dental procedures. I experienced pain a few weeks after my last root canal and dr. Berlin saw me free of charge and helped alleviate my pain by making small adjustments to the crown. Ever see the Gatorade commercial of what it means to be a G? Well, Dr.Berlin is G. That's just street talk for how great of a dentist he is. I don't yelp anything because I don't have time to type up these long essays with my busy schedule. However, I felt that the two NEW dentists i've seen the past couple of weeks did such an amazing job on my teeth, it had to be done. If you've read all his reviews, you probably know he's a specialist in what everyone has mentioned. I don't come from anywhere close to Beverly Hills, but I was recommended by my new dentist Dr.Truong (DDS) to see Dr.Berlin. I cant recall the name of my previous dentist of 10 years because he never communicated with me on anything he did. But he did a 50% job on my root canal and it needed re treatment. Id figure if i go to a cheaper dentist who wasn't good at doing root canals, what's the point. Id probably have to spend more of my time and money with more re-treatments. So based on these reviews, I decided to go with Dr.Berlin. The man is a magician, I don't know if it's his fancy equipment or the man has magical powers (kidding). But the re-treatment was absolutely painless. The funny part was, he was so concerned I was feeling pain, he kept asking if I was okay. I don't know if its possible to smile during a root canal but I sure did. Nevertheless, I got what was dreaded over with, and my teeth feels a lot healthier and cleaner. Id figure I wait a day after the procedure to write this review to see if I was going to feel pain after I woke up, but after 24 hrs, it seems to feel GREAT!. Dr Berlin is great endodontist! Don't let your regular dentist perform a root canal(s), when you can get the best work done up front with minimal complications. I was referred to Dr Berlin by Dr LanVi Do (Canon Cosmetic). The office visits and followup were very professional. He will even call you by phone to check up on you. The first root canal he performed stabilized the infection in a matter of a week. The root canal my dentist (not Dr Do, another dentist) performed didn't stabilize and Dr Berlin had to perform a retreat. I especially like that his xrays are digitally recorded and that he has specialized tools that other dentists may not have on hand to perform a proper root canal. Get that modern day feeling on top of the professionalism (not a stone age dentist). So far, hats off to Dr Berlin. I recommend him to anyone. If you have DHA Insurance, even better. read more

What I love about Dr. Berlin (and his affiliate, Dr. Ines) is that they don't try to overtreat you, or scare you into "upselling" into more than what you need. Dr.Berlin is such a patience, humble doctor and he did a good job. He is very concerned and keep on asking "if everything ok" in the middle of the procedure. He told me to come twice for a retreatment of my tooth. Would recommend him to everyone! Meet him in person to know that he has a very good personality. Today was the second time my dentist referred me to Jeff Berlin for a root canal. I have lousy teeth and for most of my life thought it was outrageous that I had to pay for being put through dental hell. This was not one of those experiences. Dr. Berlin is a very skilled professional. He fit me in quickly and was attentive throughout the procedure, giving me a comforting heads up about what I might feel at each next step. He is very good at novocaine injections - not like some novocaine nazis I have suffered in my day. He made the whole experience as easy as possible. He warned me I might need to take Tylenol when the novocaine wore off, but I got to work by 9:30 and stayed until 7:30. No pain at all. Even ate a lunch that was not mush. He really knows his stuff. He even called this evening to see how I was doing and I thanked him for doing a fantastic job. He is not inexpensive, but he is worth every penny he charges.
