Knowing her as we do, I expected her to work hard and smart for us, but I was amazed at how knowledgeable she was through the entire process, telling us what we needed to know and helping us control all of the moving parts towards closing. It felt like she had been doing it for 20 years. Finding a home while out of state is complicated and at times difficult. Sarah did everything we asked of her and more. We sent her into a couple of houses to video for us that were more sketchy than the sales listing indicated, but she handled the filming and the tenants with humor, poise and aplomb. The house we settled on was far from her office, so we didn't feel she needed to do a last minute video inspection on the day before closing, but she did, and was with us the next day at the closing itself. As I mentioned, she went above and beyond for us. For example, after the appraisal came in $500 below the selling price and we or the seller would have to make it up, we decided on our own not to go back to the seller with yet another request. We didn't know that Sarah was looking out for us and had already approached the selling realtor, and they okayed the revised sale price. So Sarah saved us $500 with her initiative. And so, in looking back, I don't dwell on the irritating (but normal) setbacks during the closing process,. Instead my overall memory is how it was mostly fun and stress-free dealing with Sarah.

While I can't discuss some things in their entirety -- it has been a nightmare, an absolutely gross oversight of their duties that's costing me and there's no end in sight. The staff will not call you, or answer about 60% of emails, the owner thinks it's beneath him to reach out personally to try and be helpful. Money has been lost and mismanaged 2-3 times now and no single month feels consistent. I never know what's happening with my home, the condition of it, and now I'm getting hit with legal fees and have a lien on my property from the delinquency of Ascend not have utilities properly switched. If you're an ascend client- check your ledgers carefully. If you're not--- run don't walk. Now I'm being threatened by them with retaliatory billing practices because I am not keeping quiet anymore , try any other company besides them.
