We honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about Jeff; From the very beginning, several weeks before our wedding, he was absolutely amazing. What started as a photographer-client relationship quickly became a genuine friendship, and by the time our wedding arrived, it felt like Jeff was one of our friends who just happened to be there capturing every special moment. Jeff was with us for two full days, covering every part of our wedding celebrations, and he was incredible from start to finish. On Day 1, he captured our afternoon Indian Haldi ceremony at Sachin's sister's house before joining us that evening for our Welcome Party, Mendi and Henna celebrations. He made everyone feel comfortable, and he somehow managed to capture all the little moments, emotions, laughter and craziness that made the evening so special. Then came Day 2, which was the incredibly full wedding day. Jeff was there early to capture pre-ceremony photos. He then captured our multicultural wedding ceremony, followed by personal photographs, whilst somehow having time to simultaneously capture our guests throughout the cocktail hour; Jeff was with us throughout the reception into the night. Despite how much was happening over the two days, Jeff was always very calm, professional, energetic and completely on top of everything. One of the things that impressed us most was how brilliantly Jeff worked with everyone else involved in our wedding. He was in perfect sync with our videographer and wedding planner, and the three of them worked together seamlessly. He also coordinated incredibly well with the team at El Prado Hotel in Palo Alto, making sure everything ran smoothly without ever making us feel like we had anything to worry about. But beyond his incredible photography and professionalism, what really stood out was Jeff himself. Our family and friends absolutely loved him. He has such a wonderful personality and was able to blend into the celebrations while still being incredibly attentive to what needed to be captured. He made people laugh, put everyone at ease and somehow managed to be everywhere he needed to be without ever feeling intrusive. He didn't just photograph our wedding -- he became part of it. We are so grateful that Jeff was there to capture these memories for us. Looking back, we know we made the right choice, not only because of the incredible photographs he captured, but because of the experience we had with him along the way. I originally saw Jeff in action at my sister's wedding, where his work blew everyone away. Seeing his professionalism, watching his ideas take shape in real time, and seeing the final results made sure he was the only person I thought of for my own future photos. The giant print hanging in our house from that moment gets non-stop "wow" reactions from anyone who walks through our door, with people genuinely shocked by how good it looks. On top of all that, I threw a real curveball at him in the dark. The local fire department came out to support us with a fire engine, creating a brutal glare and bright spotlights facing straight toward his lens. Jeff adjusted on the fly to get me, my bride, the firefighters, and the engine all crisp and well lit without blowing out the shot. For our maternity shoot, we met at a local park in Concord. Even with a busy park backdrop, Jeff kept things simple, elegant, and completely comfortable for us. As we began our wedding planning for the May 2021 event, trying to gauge various vendors' work and style was challenge during Covid times. We met Jeff during a potential venue tour and instantly loved his energy and clearly obvious passion toward his craft. When we started planning our wedding, I didn't really know where to start. For one thing, I knew I wanted a great photographer. We had been told the day will go by so quickly & that having a great photographer helps to preserve those memories that flash before you on such an important day. I love pictures, so of course, I was in agreement with this plan. But, there are so many photographers out there...how do you choose?! To start the planning process, I went to a bridal show to get ideas flowing... I randomly started talking with Jeff. At this point, we didn't even have a venue selected or have any places in mind. Jeff was so incredibly helpful! He asked questions about what kinds of places we envisioned and made great suggestions for us to check out! Since we didn't even have a venue, date or any other important details nailed down yet, I couldn't even begin talking with Jeff about our photography needs. He was very understanding and suggested we touch base in a few weeks. We went on with the planning and a few weeks later received an email from Jeff touching base. I appreciated that Jeff wasn't pushy but was able to causally check in to see if we were ready to talk photography. At this point, we had a venue and a date...yay!! So my fiancé and I planned a meeting with him. We felt comfortable with him right away! He was energetic and easy to talk to! He showed us examples of his work and we were amazed at some of the beautiful moments he had captured! He also seemed to work on educating himself on new photography techniques, which made us feel comfortable that we had a skilled photographer on our hands! We left that meeting feeling like we found our photographer! I'm not even sure exactly where to start... With my youngest child's first prom around the corner I started planning every detail of the events. I decided to host the prom pre-party and postparty for this special night. One of the very important details was setting up just the right photo backdrop for all 12 kids to take their prom pictures in our backyard. Originally I had planned to host and play photographer For the evening but quickly realized it would be nearly impossible to host 40 people at my home and be focused on taking amazing memorable portraits. I sent Jeff a message asking if this would be an events he would be interested in photographing. Jeff did such a fantastic job for our wedding. I could not be happier with how our photos turned out. He was so wonderful as I was almost a half an hour late to our venue since my makeup artist showed up over an hour and half late. I don't usually do this but I had such a great experience today, I thought I would share. So about twice a year, I go on the great photographer hunt for our Christmas pix or some kids' birthday or something. And every year, I end up using someone new because I never seem fully satisfied. So a couple of months ago, I posted on this site for photographer recommendations and a lot of you had some. It was hard to choose but because I had a really specific price point in mind, that made it easier. I literally needed one good image of my baby for this frame I had. I didn't want a huge shoot and most photographers that I talked to were pretty inflexible or hugely expensive. Except for one guy - Jeff Roush. Super nice, super flexible and an overall good human. He met me at Heather Farms and we did about 30 mins of pictures and my other daughter and I even hopped in for a few even though that wasn't a part of the original plan. All the pictures came back great EXCEPT I realized that I had left out one essential detail when I talked to him and that was which orientation of the image I needed. I needed vertical and all of the ones I loved were horizontal. Of course I realized this about 2 weeks too late. Ugh. So I called him and asked stupidly if he was able to make a horizontally orientated image vertical. He said no but he suggested a quick reshoot, free of charge since, the customer is always right. I felt so bad but since it was the entire purpose of me getting these pictures taken in the first place, I agreed. Today was the makeup shoot and he was so accommodating and nice - totally didn't make me feel guilty or bad at all. We recently worked with Jeff for the first time on fall family pictures. He was very accommodating with our busy schedule and recommended a fantastic setting.
