I have been going to Hunterdon Family Dentist in Lebanon for several years. I never need any dental work done except for regular cleanings. The Hygienist, Jennifer is excellent. Recently I needed a crown replaced and I was completely dreading the process. I am pleased to report that I had the Crown replaced by Dr. Zhu and she was extraordinary. Not only was she kind and sympathetic to my fear and anxiety, but more importantly she did a remarkable job of replacing the Crown with no pain. Dr. Zhu is a very skilled and talented Dentist. The Crown is made in her office and she custom fits it into place. The result is a crown that looks and feels like it has always been there. I could not be happier with the result or the experience. If I ever need any additional work done, I will not hesitate to have Dr. Zhu take care of me. Not only is she a gifted Dentist but she is also genuinely a lovely human being.

A couple years ago I had gum graft surgeries with Dr. Wolf and the procedures did not go well…read more After healing I went to get other opinions and each Periodontist I had a consult with was perplexed by what Dr. Wolf caused to my gums, looking at the before and after pictures. Since then I have been working with a couple of top-tier Periodontists that are significantly more expensive to try and repair the damage, and the experience has been a lot better. Unfortunately, the repairs so far have cost nearly $18k, and I have another repair surgery scheduled for next month which will cost another $8k. Bottom line - based on other reviews, I thought I was going to be in good hands, but please do your due diligence. It has been a long and awful journey. I hope others don't have the same experience.

It was very nice, they are an "upscale" dental practice, and had all the amenities. The dentist was very pleasant and did good work. Unfortunately, due to an error, my insurance changed to a DMO, and they refused to pay for the work that was done. This change occurred right when we had our whole family go in and have major work done. We received a bill for over $4000 for the work. I called the office to discuss the issue and was told that they would not "help me out" and accept the dollar amount that the insurance would have paid them, but rather were seeking out the full cash price that an uninsured person would pay. There is absolutely no reason for this other than pure greed. They were never going to get $4k for this work, until they discovered I was uninsured. Now they are taking advantage. I'm not asking for charity, but I do want to be treated fairly, especially since they should have pre-qualified me prior to doing the work. There is a silver lining to this story. My new dentist does the same quality of work for almost half the cost, so my after-insurance price is lower.

The front office was very pleasant and upon me telling them that I had some discomfort they immediately scheduled me without giving me difficulties. They processed my paperwork online and made it a breeze. For the extraction they referred me to Warren oral surgery and I had a unpleasant experience with the front staff at Warren Oral surgery The staff at Oral surgery made it difficult for me to make an appointment and after the appointment I requested the doctor called me with some information and I never got a callback.

How could they charge so much you ask, because it feels awesome and everyone knows it (better than weed by far in my opinion), plus it makes a miserable procedure go from virtually unbearable to virtually unnoticeable. As far as the professionalism of the office they get top marks. With regards to the doctor that I saw whose name is escaping me right now, he's all business and really knows root canal. They're not just dentists their endodontist which is kind of like a dentist "on steroids" (I hate that expression, I couldn't think of anything better at the moment). Believe it or not the dentist that sent me there "didn't feel comfortable doing root canal it on the molars", I found that kind of strange because I went to a professional, a dentist(!). Apparently this is pretty normal and this is why Endodontists exist. In fact given the skill level I would say go to an endodontist for any root canal, period. The last time I had root canal it was by a regular dentist and you could tell with certain parts of it he was having some issues. Donna was the receptionist I was talking with. By the time I got there my dentist in Easton, PA sent over the X-rays and reports. I can't even begin to tell you that every one in this office was so amazing and caring. I had a bad infection and the care and concern was exemplary. They had me come in the next few days to check on me. The other dentists in that practice gave me their cell number.
