Dr. Hill is mine and my kids primary doctor and he is amazing. He is always attentive and caring! He can get busy and sometimes you do have to wait a little bit before he sees you but it's worth the wait. Their staff is kind and helpful and the waiting area is clean and comfortable. I had a problem a couple years ago and no one was able to help me so I decided to see Dr. Hill. He was able to get me on antibiotics right away when I had a rash all over my neck. My son cut the side of his head pretty badly and needed stitches. He eased my sons nerves and stitched him up perfectly!! We love him! I have been going to him as my primary doctor since then! I'm so thankful that he is close by our house and that he has a pharmacy in his building! How convenient! So glad to have found Dr. Hill! read more

I was unaware that this place closed down. They did not notify their patients. I called and called then took a lunch break to stop by the office. It was closed indefinitely. This is a big inconvenience to everyone who's waiting on prescription refills and who has to now look for a new doctor, not that they were good in the first place. The last time I was there, I waited for over an hour and could hear the staff talking crap about the doctor. They were even late on a video call where I had to call them to get on the video chat! Also, I've never even met Dr. Hill after going for a year and a half. If you're going to give me an NP every time, you should charge me an NP price. read more

I had been seeing Dr. Hill before he opened this state of the art new clinic. He always comes in with a great smile and calls me by my last name like we are just 2 athletes in the locker room shooting the sh%#, sitting down and throwing his feet up on the counter, he immediately puts me at ease. I have been to several if not all of his PAs and the few I loved left far too soon to continue in the fields they wanted to specialize in. The other I did not care for, if I could remember her name I'd tell you because she was just that awful, however when I expressed my displeasure with Dr. Hill about this horrible woman and how she made me feel, Dr. Hill took action and I never saw her at the facility again! I say this because Dr. Hill will always see patients who would rather see a Dr. And he is worth it! His staff is professional, competent, and exceedingly personal. When interfacing with his clients, it is more than apparent that Dr. Hill maintains a high level of knowledge and is not only an esteemed physician who is caring, empathetic but he also runs a tight ship, My entire experience of interfacing with this organization is filled with positives almost too numerous to list in this review, but all were greatly appreciated, and will be long remembered. Dr. Hill and staff are consistently punctual and conveniently begin earlier than the appointed time when patients arrive early enough to receive such service. He never fails to impress with his vast knowledge of the treatment for body injuries and muscle strains, regardless of how long they existed. In a recent treatment, he viewed an X-ray of my OLD dislocated shoulder injury, where he discovered the shoulder had suffered a broken bone that went untreated. He offered information on Stem Cell PRP treatment after I researched the topic, he offered the injection and prescribed physical therapy that one week later had curtailed ongoing discomfort I repeatedly experienced whenever I participated in certain turns while doing ballroom dancing. My shoulder is now 'like new' A fellow gym member with a similar injury underwent surgery on his rotator cuff along with several weeks of physical therapy that has not yet healed his pains. He doesn't deserve even one star. When I first saw him 3 years ago he was nice. After that I could not get an appoint for three weeks or more and saw the nurse practitioner which was fine. Then went to one of his younger doctors, Dr. Skarpnes, he was wonderful, then he left the practice. Then another wonderful doctor, Dr. Slifer left his practice. His support staff has changed as well. Constant turnover. I had to see him again, as I had not found another doctor. He was rude and cocky and actually scrutinized and insulted my orthopedic surgeon who is a wonderful doctor and one of the top Surgeons in Northern California. My review is for the office as a whole. I have had to go to urgent care almost every time I was in need of a dr appointment. They do not answer the phone during business hours. I felt a UTI coming on midday Wednesday. Called 5 times to see if they would get me a antibiotic. Never answered so I left a message. Thursday it was worse, started calling first thing in the morning, no answer, left more messages. Same thing Friday morning, gave up and went to urgent care. Get this, they called me back 2 weeks later to see if I still needed an appointment! Later when I got pink eye I called and called with no answer and left messages. I was transferred to these guys a few years ago after my previous physician retired. Initially, for the first year or 2, the experience was pretty good. There was sometimes a few days wait if you didn't have an appointment, but they could usually get you in. It was good enough that I stayed with them when changing insurance. The last year or 2 though they have really gone down hill. Not sure what caused it, but I was told there's been a lot of staff turnover. To actually be able to see a doctor it seems you have to schedule 3-4 weeks in advance. Even getting in to see the nurse practitioner was tough. Calling first thing in the morning doesn't seem to matter. They will generally tell you to go to ER or urgent care if you need treatment for anything sudden. When you do finally get in for you appointment, be prepared to was an hour at least & it will probably be a very short visit. Lastly make sure they send your prescriptions before you walk out the door. It is very difficult to get ahold of them on the phone & they seem to be closed at random or have odd office hours. I will be changing docs on the next open Update: reduced to 1 star So to add on to my previous review I should say that they also didn't send my prescription to the pharmacy on a Friday afternoon. I didn't know this until I got to the pharmacy, then because it was 4pm on a Friday they wouldn't pick up the phone. I have a very serious knee injury which needs surgery, I'm on week 3 after the injury & still waiting for an mri. So my choice is either suffer in extreme pain all weekend, or drive all the way back to their office in Friday rush hour traffic & hope there's someone still there. So I drove back & didn't leave until they sent it. I got there at 1pm that day & got home from the pharmacy about 630. To add even more on I've been waiting for a call to schedule my mri for over a week. When I called last week on Monday they said they were waiting for insurance approval & would call me. I didn't hear from them all week, called them on Friday but they were randomly closed for some reason. So I call them the following Monday & they said they got the approval the previous Tuesday & I needed to call Sutter imaging to ask why I hadn't been scheduled yet. I call Sutter & they say it was never sent to them & there's nothing in their system. read more

Wow!! What an amazing experience!! Going to your regular primary care physician has definitely changed in the past couple of years. Dr. Hill and his team are phenomenal! As soon as you walk into the office you realize this is not your typical office. People are friendly and you don't get that sterile environment feeling. Nicci provided me with a massage which helped tremendously with my stiff neck and shoulders. The all around preventive/pro-active approach is by far better than the typical pill driven approach. Let's add another bad review!! Make sure you have plenty of time when you call to listen to his recorded messages and multiple voice prompts before you can speak to someone.. Just answer the phone with a live person and transfer the call to the proper department! Hopefully you know ahead of time that your going to be sick in two months and can schedule an appointment today, otherwise your SOL! Really, it takes a couple months to get an appointment? Yelp-OMG! Please add a 0 rating for these special occasions I changed jobs 7 months ago and with it, had to change dr's insurance reasons. I learned to work within their horrible customer service and communication by ordering prescriptions early etc because I learned early on everything takes for ever and the office is very unresponsive. But today they reached an all time low. Long story short, I ordered a refill for a prescription Monday knowing that it would be processed until Friday because they are that slow. I called on Thursday to make sure it would be ready Friday only to be told the dr would not approve it until I come in for an appointment. Next appointment? 3 weeks from now. When I asked why I wasn't contacted prior to the refill expiring and that if I hadn't called, I would have never known. I was told that they don't know, but it's just the way it is. When I asked what options there are including going to an urgent care office, they didn't know. When I asked if they could find out, I was told by Jeremy, "that's not my job". Best of luck to you that are sticking around for the circus. I for one will no longer be part of it. BTW- Unless you are holding a class on what poor customer service looks like, I suggest you hang up if Jeremy answers, that's after waiting on hold for 10 minutes. What a treat! Extremely long wait times. I had to take time off work to come in and be seen for an illness and after waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time I was told the provider was still with another patient-not to worry because I would still get my whole appointment time. I have other places to be! "Oh, we can just reschedule then." So that I have to take more time away from work that I cannot afford? I booked an appointment with the new NP so that I could be seen sooner than the end of April in the first place, and waited for almost a half hour before I had to leave, without being seen. I'm so surprised at the negative reviews, because I had such a positive experience with all the staff and Dr. Hill. Aside from having to wait an exceptionally long time for my appointment, the customer service from phone calls, the front desk staff, and all the medical staff was excellent. I came in after suffering from mysterious hip pain for many months, and Dr. Hill was not only extremely knowledgeable, but also very prompt with his treatments. He immediately sent me to X-ray, and had me come back within 2 days, as soon as the xrays were sent to his office. He discovered I had torn a muscle in the past, did an ultrasound on the area and an injection to break up the calcification that was going on. I was 100% pain free the following day, and have been every day since, going on over 2wks now. It's good to be back to normal. Thank you Dr. Hill! read more

I hardly know where to begin with my recent visit with Dr. Hill. I went to his office because of foot pain and some other problems with my feet. Without going into the entire story, I left without virtually any follow up care instructions, other than to ice the area of pain. Then another problem began the next day. I sent a message to Dr. Hill stating that I had some questions that I neglected to ask during my appointment, and could he please get back with me. No one did, so I called on the phone, and was told he would call me after he was finished with clinic that day. Once again, NO RESPONSE. I called again, and told the receptionist what was going on, and Dr. Hill's nurse, or medical assistant got on the phone and was somewhat helpful, but still no clear instructions on whether or not I needed something other than ice for my injury. I was told I could "wear a boot for my injury if I wanted to". Yet, not how long to wear it, etc. I was told via his staff he was "sorry" for what I felt was a terrible office visit with no instructions of what to do. He never did call to try and make things right with me. Ironically, in my profession, I work with doctors to improve doctor/patient encounters. Well, Dr. Hill, you really failed on this one. Today, I went in to see if Dr. Hill could prescribe me something to ease my depression until I could find a therapist who wasn't overbooked. The nurse was so incompetent; even after telling her where it was, she couldn't find the drugstore to send the prescription information to, even though she was using a computer. Eventually, the doctor entered the examination room, followed by his medical student and a woman with a laptop, who I assume was a transcriber. The doctor was rude, aggressive in tone, and downright unprofessional. Hearing him curse was one thing, but having to deal with his talking down to me was another. It wasn't some gradual shift in the tone of the conversation, either; he sounded annoyed as soon as he entered the room. He was also uncivil toward his medical student. The condescension in his voice was palpable; I could tell that he just wanted to send me on my way as soon as possible, as if I were an inconvenience for him. It didn't make sense because there were no other patients there from what I noticed, so there was no rush to move on to the next patient. Also, no one at the office seemed to know how to wear a mask. Dr. Hill's mask kept sliding down his face, and he constantly had to readjust it. The nurse didn't have her nose covered. And I saw the transcriber readjust hers once or twice. The staff there should know by now not to touch their faces or masks during a pandemic. No wonder there were no other patients; they must have become scared and never come back after they'd seen what I witnessed today. Overall, I will never return. I would rather see a kinder doctor than experience a rushed appointment with a rude one, especially while I deal with depression. read more

Don't go to this office if you need to get in on the same day due to sudden illness (bronchitis). I was their 1st call of the morning and they had zero appointments available and recommended that I go to an urgent care. Don't go to this office if you need an injection for a painful case of bursitis and don't feel that you can wait a whole month. Last, but not least, don't call this office to get a prescription renewed. Often times it never gets done and you get absolutely no response. I am not overly picky. This is now my 3rd Primary Care Physician and I have been to this office multiple times and have seen Dr. Hill for issues ranging from sickness to dealing with a collapsed arch. I have been in this practice 3 times. 2 out of the 3 times there were some issues, ranging from insurance bills, to prescriptions that were ordered by the doctor but I was never told, to wrong lab request sent TWICE. I think part of the problem is that all the assistants seem to be girls right out of High School, with no customer service skills and interested more on what's on their phone vs. taking care of the patient. This is my first yelp review. I had an appointment set up with Dr. Hill for well over a month after a recommendation from a specialist in my area. Today I received a call telling me they needed to change my appointment on December 6th to a different date. They offered me a date of December 1st and I explained that I had surgery two days prior and could not make it. She said the next available date would be December 20th. I explained to her that I specifically chose the 6th because I would be traveling in mid December and asked for a closer date. She said "well I offered you the 1st," as if my surgery meant nothing. The receptionist was very rude and lacked any empathy or compassion. Needless to say I am now forced to postpone my medical needs until after the holidays. In this age of rapid in and out medical care, Dr Hill spends time listening to my concerns and explores treatment options that that makes sense rather than the take a pill and go away mentality so often characteristic of contemporary medical. Specifically the nurse practitioners. I have more than one issue to deal with and I have to make another appointmwnt because my appointment has a TIME LIMIT? Of 15 minutes. 15 minutes is not enough time to get to your doctor, speak about what the issue is in proper detail, and get the right medication or treatment. So when I was asking about my anxiety and panic attacks, I was told to make another appointment. Our Doctor (Michael Gaddini) retired from private practice and he arranged for his practice to be taken over by Elevation Physicians (Hill/Marlowe). It was supposed to be a transparent switch over with no insurance and medical record issues. WRONG!!! We set-up an appointment and when we showed up after filling a whole bunch of forms, we were told that they did not take my wife's insurance. So it was either pay up as an out of network or no medicals service. They told us to find ourselves if they were in-Network (shouldn't they have done that?). Since we needed to have the medical service we agree to pay and we were told to contact Blue Shield. Which I did and Blue Shield told us Elevation Physicians were in their Network. I went to talk to them about this and they were adamant that they were out of network for our Blue Shield plan. I asked them to bill the insurance and see if they would pay as I was told by a Blue Shield customer service Rep. We were rudely told that they could do that but if Blue Shield denied the claim we were responsible for the full Blue Shield billing of $160 vs, the Cash Discount rate ($45) Not a very good customer service oriented if I may say. I was so mad with their service but I ended up paying since our Blue Shield Copay is $30 anyways. And on top of that we were not very impressed with the medical service. To summarize it, the whole family will never go back to them even if they were the last doctors in Folsom. All of you ex-Dr. Gaddini's patients, beware of this issue and be sure that they take your insurance. before you go through this as we did. read more

When I first started, the office seemed .... disjointed, not exactly smooth. Since then, I am impressed with the positive changes -- from detailed caring, to customer service, to answering the phone and even financial questions. I understand some of the negative reviews. That being said, it is a really good office. It seems like they had a bit of learning curve and have successfully achieve 'expert' status in a relatively short period of time. I originally thought this place was amazing, the doctor had good bedside manner and seemed like he really cared. In fact I even wondered why he didn't have more reviews on here. What's interesting to me is how I kept asking why I was paying a $70 deductible and then a majority of the remaining bill. I kept being told it's just the way insurance bills. I knew that wasn't right, so I called their billing dept and wanted to talk with someone to find out why this was. I got the RUDEST call. The lady left a message as if I was a complete idiot and made it sound like I had ruined her day by her having to call me. In fact I still have the recording on Dropbox. So after continuously being told that it was just the way it was billed I called the insurance company myself and found out they were "out of network" for Blue Cross. You know it's amazing to me with our technology these days that we can't tell which doctor we can or cannot go to. To make a long story short they sent me to x rays which was necessary and then when those came back I was sent to get a Nuclear bone scan which I asked how much it ran and could we check to make sure it was covered. Well I got the bonescan and Dr. Hill was out so the other doctor there reviewed everything and said we could some procedure they had or just let it heal naturally. Considering my foot was still hurting like heck I decided to go to a podiatrist. He put me in a walking boot immediately and prescribed shoe inserts. Today I got a call saying I owe $1500 for the bone scan. WOW....now I have to spend hours to try and get this resolved. I just wish they were upfront with you, they knew my insurance. Tell me, hey we can do this bone scan yet it's going to cost you $1500 if we do it and it comes back negative here are your options and if it comes back positive here are your options. Give options and let us the patients make an informed decision. And you know when you don't know something have someone call and check on it. Dr Jeff Hill is the primary practitioner for many of the residents in our care homes. He has done a great job in treating them and also seeing them within 15 minutes of their appointments. He also treats my wife and I and we are extremely pleased with his professionalism and knowledge. Having retired from the medical profession allows me to critique physicians. I went to Dr. Hill after the doctors at Dignity Health looked at my ear twice because of an ear infection. I still couldn't hear a month later and Dr. Hill saw right away that I had a tiny tear in my eardrum that had gone undiagnosed and treated me with a different antibiotic. When I wanted to have a recheck when I was done with the antibiotic, the office got me in within a few days. During that first visit, I also asked him to look at my ankle, which I had injured about 10 months previously. He was able to show me that in twisting it, I had lost 2 ligaments. At least now I know why it is still bothering me. Dr. Hill listened to my concerns and had an excellent bedside manner. I didn't have to wait long to be seen at either visit. While I am surprised at the negative reviews, I will say that I have also had a difficult time getting through to the office at times and have had to mention more than once that I wanted a certain medical procedure done, after not hearing back. I TOTALLY agree with Jameela. Dr Hill and the team at Elevation Physicians and V5 Medical Camus are the future of medicine as far as I can see. I received personal consultation like I've never experienced. State of the art everything is so reassuring and the care and attention I've received is superior to anything I have every experienced elsewhere. When you experience what I have experienced from Dr Hill and company, you will probably conclude as I have that the negative reviews are much more a reflection on the people who wrote them-- and who probably complain about everything in their lives - than they are on Dr Hill and the incredible medical campus of Elevation Physicians and V5.
