I love the medical staff at the J street office. They've been my primary care for 30 years. Apparently, they have new owners. Since then, errors have been made on my long term medications, but worst of all, their phone system only works 50% of the time. If you do get through, there is no option to speak to anybody. They have acknowledged their phone system is wonky but it's been a year and it hasn't been fixed. I'd hate to give up the people who know me and who have cared for me for twenty years but this is becoming untenable. If a medical practice won't answer phones I'm not sure what use they can be to patients. They have a messaging system but they require three working days for a response. Please, whoever is in charge, fix this. This is not a people problem, it's a reaching people problem. Rich, Dr. Reyna and the staff are amazing and helpful. (Tip: if you are lucky and the phone rings, press billing, you get a live person. Everything else is voice mail.) read more

Office was previously under the late Dr. Ernesto Quinto and recently with Dr. Wahidi. Dr. Reyna is one of the rare, hard to find gems of a Doctor, and a DO at that! He genuinely listens and shows an interest in all his patients. He orders necessary tests to determine concerning symptoms so an issue is not overlooked. Francisco has been around long enough to know it's me when I call...lol. Dr. Wahidi is competent, but does not ask questions of his patients and does not listen to their inputs. He is the quintessential know-it-all who views good ideas being only those that are his own. The patient's inputs are irrelevant in Dr. Wahidi's view. On the other hand, the PA in the Folsom office, Megan Macomber, is excellent. I would encourage others to request to see Megan and not Dr. Wahidi. read more

My husband was under Dr. Wahidi's care for more than 2 years. My husband had high cholesterol and high blood pressure for that duration. My husband also developed some leg swelling and some red blood clots on his arm. Dr. Wahidi prescribed him some cholesterol medication and after a few months told him he didn't need to take it. My husband was in the best physical shape of his life, working out, lost weight and dietary changes. Dr. Wahidi noted these changes, but despite the symptoms I mentioned rather than erring on the side of caution, the doctor did not order echocardiogram or any other further testing and no referral to the cardiologist. The doctor could have exercised more preventative care but for whatever reason(s) did not. Unfortunately, my husband died of a sudden heart attack at just 69 years old. The autopsy report revealed he had clogged arteries and blood clots otherwise commonly known as coronary artery disease. When I called the office several times to talk to the doctor about the autopsy results, he did not call me back. read more

Half of their reviews are ONE star! Would leave a 0 if i could. I was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer about 4 months ago. I had reached out to Dr. Wahidi via the patient portal requesting a phone call/virtual meeting as I had some questions and concerns. After a few days, and not receiving a reply, I submitted another message. jannine at the front desk responded stating Dr. Wahidi had received my message and asked me what I wanted him to do. Seriously? All I wanted was 5 minutes of his time which I never got. I also had a TIA (mini stroke) about 6 months ago which requires Eliquis 2 times a day. They denied a refill unless I scheduled an appt. I want NOTHING to do with this guy or his office. YOU CAN DO MUCH BETTER!! read more

I recently went in for my annual physical. From the beginning, the front office only submitted half of the blood panel tests, excluding several tests I've been tracking year over year. Why the full panel of tests was not submitted, I have no idea. I'm healthy and physically fit for my age, so the blood tests are to help identify any underlying issues. I never saw the doctor but the PA took my weight, BP...the usual. The was no exam, and I was asked questions that were directly off the health questionnaire that I fill out every visit. There was no follow-up questions on my recent surgeries or procedures. The visit was a complete waste of time and money. I have since found a new primary care doctor. read more

My father and grandfather had come to this practice since the previous doctor was here. I've been with Dr. Wahidi for a few years now and have been extremely happy. He is enthusiastic about being helpful and investigative and also very generous with scientific explanation. Honorable mention to my usual PA Sean as well. read more

They are the worst. Have been without sleep medication for a week. They ok'ed the scrip but never called it in to the pharmacy. They Never return phone calls. Had to go to urgent care with high temp and was diagnosed with covid...because they would not return my urgent after hours call. If you value your health stay away. The receptionist is rude. I am 66 years old and have seen many Drs. but these guys are the absolute worst. read more

I only have best things to say about the office and its staff. Front desk staff most soft spoken and helpful. RNs and MAs are very professional. Dr. Wahidi is the best doctor (very knowledgeable and professional) I have come across by far. I don't like doctors sugar coating when matter is quite serious. Excellent staff, much nicer and cleaner interior, better punctuality ... big improvement from the previous leadership. Called to be seen for stomach pain and was told they had no appointments for maybe a week and then told me to go to the Er! This has been my primary care Dr. since the previous Dr retired but I don't get sick often so I haven't been in to see him for some time. Got Covid and tried to get an appointment and the extremely rude staff refused to get me in and said they could get me an appointment a month later. A month. I tried to explain that I just needed a dr note to extend my days off for work but they didn't care. Obviously this dr cares only about taking your money and not quality of care. My family has been with this office for 10 plus years but we will not be going back. When I said this to the office staff she replied "great" and hung up on me. It's sad that the care for patients is no longer a thing. I've never had such a bad experience and would never recommend this provider. read more

I've only used Meena for Covid vaccinations, not for any other medical appointments. The first two vaccines were a bit disorganized and entailed a long line and a long wait. From what I understand, that wasn't the staff's fault. The two boosters were simple and quick - walk in, get jabbed, walk out, 10 minutes max. Today I called to ask about the recently approved covalent booster (called twice, at 12:30 PM and at 3:00 PM) and both times got a "we're closed" voicemail message. It's the Friday before Labor Day, so the office should be open unless they specifically decided to close early or for the day. If so, the greeting should have mentioned the change of office hours. read more

Basicly this office has become a nightmare!called on Thursday am very early to get in for intense back pain and was told he had no openings so the young lady Jennifer puts me on hold for ten mins then comes back to the phone and says oh we will try to rearrange his patients to get you in.So because I've never heard that kind of bull before I took myself to the Folsom urgent care and they promptly saw me.Never heard from Dr Waihidi office Thursday or Friday then they have the nerve to call me Monday at 1130 to see if I want to make a appointment.What a joke,was the office slow today and you needed to get some money flow going!I Recommend their office treat paying patients with good insurance better after all we are your income.I'd skip this office unless you like a run around with rude staff on the phone line too read more

I switched from another doctor to Dr. Wahidi thinking that I might get a better response to an illness and in a timely manner. When I switched I was told that the doctor, or a PA would see me the same day. What a mistake. Twice now since February 2021 I have tried to get an appointment on the same day for a condition that I know what medication I need to alleviate my problem. Twice I have been told that there were no times available, but they would leave a message for Dr. Wahidi and that he would get back to me. Twice now I have not heard from him. Avoid this doctor, avoid his practice. He is too busy to take care of you. read more

Very disappointed with the quality of care I have tried to receive from this medical group. I have been ill for a few weeks and tried several times to call to get an appointment to be seen and am always told they have no appointments available and will have to wait for a cancellation! As a patient of Dr. Wahidi I cannot figure out how they cannot have emergency appointments available for patients that become sick! I am told to go to the ER if it gets worse - wth is that?? Why do I have a doctor if I cannot get an appointment when I am ill to be seen? Please be aware the staff is not helpful and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MEDICAL GROUP! I had a very difficult time finding a doctor for my terminally ill father that could manage his pain. A lot of the primary care doctors aren't knowledgeable in the area (found out the hard way). I'm so beyond grateful that we found Dr. Wahidi. He not only had no problem getting his pain under control, but was really amazing and empathetic through the whole process of helping my dad through his illness. As an internist, he supposedly handles difficult and chronic cases. However, this has definitely not been my experience. If you have something straightforward and easy to treat, then he may be your man. His office staff are pleasant but he has had alot of turnover&billing is a mess. read more
