Biggest regret of my life. Same surgery, two different results/process, and lifetime of pain ahead. I'm only 28 years old and if someone warned me I would have lived with my bunions that gave me occasional pain, but now I have post surgery arthritis and so much pain and my feet are ugly. Look at the scars!!!!! It's been almost 4/5 years and I want to cry everyday. Dr Kleis is so nice but my surgery went so wrong... I can't take it back and now I have to consider reconstructive surgery to hopefully take the pain away. I got the most invasive surgery to "correct" my bunions along with my hammertoes. Please please please do your research and don't get surgery unless completely necessary, it could change your life forever. I can't walk more than two hours without pain and needing to sit and relax. Dr. Kleis!!! I had a great experience with this surgeon. Not sure about you but me thinking about going under anesthesia and having someone slice my foot open and dismantle bones and stuff didn't really sound like a WALK in the park. Dr. Kleis took the time to explain everything to me. I was really nervous about this surgery. On the day of my surgery his anesthesiologist took time to calm my fears and so did Dr. Kleis. I did NOT feel like I was on a production line. I did NOT have any unpleasant experiences. Not one. My foot looks better and feels just fine. His office staff is the very best. It really says something about a doctor when his staff is friendly, pleasant and professional. Both Dr. Kleis and his staff take that extra STEP and provide excellent service. Good job! I had gone to Dr. Kleis a few years ago and after two rather painful laser sessions, it did not cure my fungus. Not even close. And, I was out $500.00. I have a tip for anyone looking to get rid of toenail fungus: Save your hard earned money and soak your feet in plain white vinegar! Soak in vinegar everyday for 15 minutes and it WILL cure it. Trust me...I've had this fungus for 30+ years and I've tried nearly everything (short of Lamisil). 6 months ago I started soaking in vinegar and today, for the first time in decades, I have a normal toenail. Dr. Kleis is pleasant and quiet. I really like his demeanor, but as far as laser treatment for fungal nails, it did not work. I had 4 laser treatments in conjunction with topical RX medication, bought and used the shoe sanitizer with no improvement. I followed protocol for a whole year. Sadly I spent almost $800 out of pocket! I feel Dr. Kleis really wants this to work for his patients, but feel he knows the outcome most likely will not be good. If you notice there aren't as many ads for nail fungal treatment and even the podiatrist I go to now, says the laser does not work well on fungal nails. read more

Dr. Klies was fantastic! I researched and found a blog on him when I started having toe nail fungus which he treats with laser. I went in and had a personal free consultation and he told me everything I needed to know to schedule an appointment. Although the price is steep, it is worth every penny! I was referred by my family doctor for an embarrassing toenail problem. The office is nice, very clean, not crowed like some clinics I've been to in the past. Making an appointment was easy, staff was helpful. Been to the office twice, once for laser treatment and then back for a check up. The treatment went well, no pain after wards and the problem has since gone away (it took a few months to see the problem go away). I've since recommended this doctor to a couple co-workers who were also pleased with their experience. The office can be a little hard to find, its on the first floor next to Steinmart, If you park by the movie theater its a further walk, but there is a parking lot on the other side next to Steinmart that is closer to the medical offices. read more

I went to see Dr. Jeffrey Kleis to get rid of the toe nail fungus. This doctor is a courteous and quiet man. After visiting him three times, he said that his machine could not cure my particular nail fungus. This was very disappointing, since I had paid him over $400. I have had fungal nails for about 2 years. Tried lots of different treatments. I went to Dr. Kleis. He did say that there is no guarantee for the laser but that it does work for many people. He said that even the pills (that cause liver damage) are not guaranteed to work. I appreciated his honesty as I had been to another doctor who did laser, and guaranteed that it would work, but it did not. I tried laser with Dr. Kleis. It took 3 treatments but now my nails are looking great. He said that often people give up too soon and that multiple treatments may be needed for difficult nails.
