We had a beautiful wedding at Bishop Farmstead through JAM Catering. We knew we loved the venue when we toured in March 2025, but I couldn't even imagine how gorgeous it would look fully dressed for our wedding in late August of 2026. If you're looking for a gardeny, outdoorsy, whimsical location, Bishop Farmstead is definitely the place. Between the food and the service, JAM is really top notch. Anecdotally, one of our harder to please guests even shared that this was the best food they've had at a wedding to date. But we knew the food was going to be excellent from our tasting, which was a total blast in and of itself. Side note: My husband also commented how on the ball the bartender were. I'd like to shout out our fabulous coordinator Gina and her assistant Kayla. Gina felt like working with your most organized friend. She was super communicative and kept our day as worry-free as possible. We decided upgrade to a package that allowed us to use more of Gina's time and I totally recommend spending the extra money on that. I told her my ideal day would involve no decision making, and she made that dream a reality. Unfortunately, there was a medical emergency right as our ceremony began (everyone ended up being okay, thank goodness!). And I have to give a huge thank you to the whole JAM team, but especially Kayla who was on the phone with 911 in no time at all. Multiple people told me how Kayla kept everything under control; we're lucky we had her! We truly had the best day ever, and had the dance party of our dreams. Timeless & Elegant Wedding Venue From the moment we walked up to the front of the mansion in June 2023, we knew this was the perfect place for our April 2024 wedding. One of my main priorities for my upcoming wedding at Bellevue Hall was serving delicious food, so we were a little nervous when we selected a venue exclusively catered by JAM only because we hadn't yet tried the food. This fear completely melted away after our group tasting event at Aldie Mansion on 12/18/22 --- the food was incredible, and we can't wait for our big day! To start our event, we were warmly greeted and briefly oriented to the layout and schedule of the tasting, which began with welcome beverages, hors d'oeuvres, and samples from their cocktail hour enhancement food stations. The highlight of the cocktail hour for us were several of the hors d'ouerves, which we are grateful to have included. We were especially excited about the Love Note (phyllo dough, Asian pear, goat cheese) and the Mozzarella Tartlets (mozzarella, sundried tomato, pine nuts). In terms of cocktails, there was a lemon and thyme cocktail that we really enjoyed. They had a station with their apothecary cocktails, which was cool in theory, but seemed to take way too long (at one point, it took a solid 5 minutes for this poor man to make 6 half-full Moscow mules that weren't really anything to write home about). We tried several of the cocktail hour enhancements, many of which were good (guacamole station, paella, poke bowls, Dim Sum dumplings) or mediocre at best (the soft pretzels were weird and not really made with pretzel-like dough). However, the food got significantly better with the entrees and salads. We were treated to a selection of vegetarian, fish, chicken, and beef entrees (two from each category!) with accompanying sides that we got to share with our table of 3 other engaged couples planning events with JAM. As someone who tends toward vegetarian options, I was grateful that both example vegetarian options were delicious and flavorful --- and not just boring baked ziti! The Sesame Garlic Tofu was well prepared, and the Hearts of Palm cake came with an excellent sauce. All of the meat/fish entrees were well seasoned and perfectly cooked, which reassured us there was not a bad option on their extensive menu. With the event being so large, it was also helpful to know the meals could be served at the appropriate temperature and texture to a large group. The highlights for us included the Australian sea bass, Yuzu-Glazed chicken, and Guinness-braised short ribs. Dessert was also incredible; we were given the opportunity to try 6 different cake/frosting combinations along with several dessert stations. Their "Arnold Palmer" cake with lemon buttercream was a surprising standout, and I loved their lavender gelato from the gelato station. JAM finished the day by collecting our written feedback and providing us each with our choice of edible party favors --- in our case, a trio of macarons and some rosemary caramel popcorn, which were both delicious. read more

I'm super happy with our choice to go with a JAM catering venue for our wedding from the planning aspect alone. We are getting married at ASHM but I had a friend get married at their Anthony Wayne House venue. Prior to booking, I asked about her experience and she gushed about the food. That alone was enough for me to move forward with JAM, but as a June 2025 bride, the planning assistance has been great. My FH and I just had our tasting with Jeffrey A. Miller Catering for our summer wedding at the Barn at Cauffiel House in Delaware. JAM focuses on farm-to- table, fresh ingredients, sometimes picked right from their urban garden, and we were NOT disappointed. The group event was like a mini wedding itself! There was a DJ and a showcase of various beverage, hors d'oeuvres, appetizers, entrees, desserts, and even to-go favors. Their flavors are bold and unique, and so delicious. We really loved how fresh the food tasted and how it was not standard wedding fair - there was definitely an elevated flair to each dish. It will be difficult to narrow down what to choose! After attending the group tasting hosted by JAM Catering and The Lake House Inn, we couldn't be more excited for our big day. My fiancé has been so busy planning our wedding in less than 8 months. So, it brought her great ease when she saw that we were in capable and professional hands. Upon entering the venue, JAM had created a beautiful and well-organized space for the 2023 LHI couples. We were welcomed by a friendly staff and delicious welcome drinks. While I'm not typically a fan of the overpowering flavor of lavender, I was pleasantly surprised by how refreshing the Hibiscus Tea and Lavender Lemonade were. We even grabbed another round to accompany dinner. There were cocktail hour stations as well as butlered hor d'oeuvres following welcome drinks. We were impressed by the Spring/Summer selection for our August wedding. The Love Note and Mozzarella Tart were the best! We also had the wonderful opportunity to experience the station enhancements. The fresh hanging pretzel and the BBQ in a jar will be such unique and tasty additions to our cocktail hour. We tasted several entrées during the dinner portion. While the vegetarian/vegan and seafood options were amazing and perfectly cooked, we weren't too impressed with the chicken and beef options. Nonetheless, we're not stressed as JAM has an extensive menu to choose from. JAM coordinators have expressed how open and accommodating they are to our needs. We were able to schedule another tasting shortly after and look forward to working with JAM to perfect our menu. Overall, we most enjoyed how attentive and kind the staff was. We will be hosting 200 of our loved ones in August. We believe they deserve the best, and we look forward to the top-tier service JAM will provide. We have attended 5 weddings in 2022 alone, and it's safe to say that JAM served the best food we've had all year (and it was just the tasting)! read more

We had my daughters wedding at John J Audubon Center. No regrets on the venue...it's absolutely beautiful. I'm giving 3 stars to JAM because they were so disorganized, which caused us a fair amount of stress in the week leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day. They flooded us with paperwork for months, most of it redundant, then 5 days before the wedding they sent us an urgent email that we needed copies of insurance and signed agreements from all vendors that were coming onsite. BTW, we met with our coordinator three weeks prior and she never mentioned this. Day of wedding was chaotic. They were running behind schedule. I just felt that I had to do too much of the coordination myself, while I was trying to enjoy my daughters day. At the end of the evening, someone from JAM staff went into the suite where the bridal party got ready and stuffed everything into a big bag, so I had to sort through that. Everyone we worked with from JAM in the planning phase was very nice and helpful. I honestly think they are just overcommitted. There are so many weddings this season and it must be difficult to get enough good staff. The sense I got was that everyone on their staff was tired. I did not like the way JAM handles tipping. They tell you it's optional, but then give you a list of all the staff along with suggested tipping amounts, and request that you give cash in envelopes. I understand tipping the servers and bartenders, but they suggest tips for the salaried staff as well, which amounts to another $3,000 on top of the $30K you have already paid. Come on JAM, just pay your people a decent wage and stop guilting your clients. On a positive note, the food was really delicious! read more

We are thrilled to be having our wedding at Cauffiel House, managed by JAM Catering. The venue's historic charm and natural beauty make it perfect for our outdoor ceremony and reception. The beautifully landscaped lawns and charming façade provide an enchanting backdrop for our big day. The property's original mid-20th century furnishings, bright sun porches, formal parlor, and elegant dining room offer a unique setting for cocktails or intimate celebrations. Veronica helped us tour both Bellevue and Cauffiel, but Cauffiel felt quainter and more intimate for our 100-person wedding, and we liked the all-inclusive packages which include food, drinks, and planning services with lots of options for upgrades for an additional fee. Our coordinator, Madeline, has been extremely helpful and knowledgeable throughout the planning process and we are looking forward to our fall wedding at Cauffiel. We've had a great experience with JAM Catering thus far. We attended both the group tasing and a private tasting which was exceptional, and we loved the rillettes of duck and brie en brioche appetizers. The Chicken Normandy was delicious and perfect for our fall wedding. The team has been attentive and responsive, making the planning process a breeze. Highly recommend Cauffiel House for anyone seeking a unique and picturesque wedding venue with planning and catering services provided in house. read more

Overall, very pleased with the variety of food and customization options that are provided by JAM Catering. We wanted to make sure we can have a variety of Indian and Asian cuisine options as we are having a multicultural wedding and were pleased to see they have many options for that. Although the General tasting did not have any of the Asian dishes available to try, we were able to arrange a private tasting to try all the Indian dishes we are hoping to incorporate into our menu the day of. Although some of the Asian style dishes were not as authentic as we hoped, the majority of dishes were delicious, especially the soup and salmon entrees we tried, and the tastings were a great help in letting us decide which dishes we want to have on our wedding day. Mistakes happen, and we are understanding people, but the level mismanagement of our wedding day crossed a line that was completely unacceptable. Important to note: Our wedding planner was initially set to serve as our day-of coordinator, but after signing contracts, we were informed that someone else would handle this role. While we voiced concerns, we were assured that the coordinator had extensive experience with our venue and would be fully briefed on all details. When the bridesmaids and I arrived we expected the groom and groomsmen to already be in their suite, however no one was there to greet or assist them in getting to the room. This oversight led to my husband and I seeing each other the moment I arrived, ruining our first look. After waiting for 10 minutes, I had to call the coordinator myself to inform her that we were waiting to be taken to our suites. Our photographers, who were unfamiliar with the venue, were given no guidance whatsoever. The bridal party also received no direction and when they approached the coordinator for assistance, she dismissively told them, "You're supposed to coordinate with the photographers, not us." The bouquets were missing from the bridal suite and instead of addressing this properly, the coordinator blamed a groomsman, dragged the boxed flowers into the suite, and left me to unpack and distribute them. Despite prior discussions with the planner, the promised day-of rehearsal never occurred. When questioned, the coordinator claimed we had decided against it, though I have emails detailing our plans. Adding to the chaos, family portraits were delayed because staff refused to let family members in until 5:30, despise having confirmed 5:00 with the coordinator over email two days prior. As a result, we missed the entirety of our cocktail hour to make up the photos. For the ceremony, reserved first row seats weren't marked as requested. This forced family members to have to awkwardly ask guests to move. The coordinator began the processional without checking if I was ready. I was still in the bridal suite, trying to calm down from the mounting issues. My bridal party had to intervene. Guests wandered aimlessly until the bridal party stepped in to help direct them to the cocktail hour location. After rushing through our delayed family photos, my husband and I sat down for our "private moment" to eat some of our cold appetizers. It was then that the coordinator approached us to discuss an issue about the decor. This interruption was poorly timed and not remotely urgent compared to the other mishaps. The location for our first dance was changed without notifying the DJ, leaving the bridal party to redirect him. During dinner, a bridesmaid had to take on the task of turning on all the centerpiece lights and fixing improperly placed drapings. The card box was also forgotten, and I had to request a staff member to bring it to the correct location after several guests asked where to put their cards. The bridal party felt abandoned throughout the day. They described the coordinator as rude, unhelpful, and dismissive, often leaving them to resolve problems themselves. Their frustration was visible throughout the day. When we reached out about our experience, I mistakenly received an email from the owner intended for someone else. It implied that the coordinator wasn't trusted to handle her job properly. I have a screenshot of this but my review was disputed because of it. We were also told that we could have paid for an "enhanced package" for more coordination. So in going with the basic package, our wedding wasn't treated as a priority even though we were assured the day would be seamless. While we received small refunds, the lack of accountability and dismissive response left us feeling brushed aside and without proper closure. read more

My fiance and I have been delightfully impressed by JAM Catering at every step in our planning process. Most wedding caterers tout "fresh ingredients", but JAM truly delivers. Their food is farm-to-table and prepared directly at each wedding venue - so you can be sure that every appetizer, entree, and dessert (they have an in-house baking team), is the best quality. Their appetizer menu is also seasonal, which tells you a lot about their priorities to only serve the best food possible. What truly blew me away was the attention to detail the JAM team pays to station table displays. They understand the importance of presentation and deliver gorgeously displayed cuisine for every appetizer and entree option. Lastly, I was impressed by the ease with which they accommodate substitutes and allergy needs. We're dealing with a mix of dairy allergies, kosher and vegan requirements, and kid-friendly entrees, and the JAM team of professionals handle it all with ease. They also let us swap out the traditional wedding cake (which is included in your catering package) for a fun donut station at no extra charge! My husband and I attended a wedding on August 4th at the Aldie Mansion in Doylestown, PA that was catered by Jeffrey Miller Catering. I have to admit that I never get excited about wedding food. Usually the consists of a buffet of overcooked fish, chicken and vegetables and everything tastes bland. (This is one of the many reasons my husband and I had our wedding reception at a restaurant.) I was blown away by how great the food was from Jeffrey Miller Catering! Trays of hot hor d'oeuvres were passed out to guests while the wedding party after the ceremony. My favorites were the bite-sized burger sliders and the chicken skewers... tasty and super cute! The dinner was fantastic. My steak was very tender and the vegetables were seasoned perfectly. Even the salad was fantastic! I'm not sure if the catering company made the wedding cake, but according to the guests I heard it was great. I'm not a fan of cake so I skipped trying it. Not only was the food from Jeffrey Miller Catering fantastic, but the staff was so friendly and attentive. I never had an empty water glass or dirty plate at my table. The staff did an excellent job at attending to all the guests needs. The bartender was friendly and was willing to make all of my husband's tedious drink orders. Even though the bar did not have triple sec my husband insisted on the bartender making him a bloody mary, long island ice tea and a grimlin. Most bartenders would have shooed my husband away or would have suggested a rum and coke, but the bartender tried his best to please my husband. Great service and great food! Heartless people. Do not recommend. One of our favorite restaurants is a farm to table, so naturally when looking for a caterer we were looking for the same thing. With Jeffery A Miller, this is exactly what you are going to receive. This past weekend we had our food tasting and the food was incredible and so well prepared. I was able to cut through my rack of lamb with just my fork that is how tender the food was. Also, with the crazy time of COVID going on, JAM has been very responsive in all of our questions and made the process seamless when scheduling our "private" tasting. They have also communicated their standards for events during the pandemic before we even knew what to ask which has also put us at ease read more

My husband and I got married at the John James Audubon Center where Jeffrey A. Miller (JAM) is the exclusive caterer. We really had a fantastic experience with them. The wedding planning process is a ton of work, but our JAM contact Shannon really helped us with every detail pertaining to the schedule of events, types of food served, and decorations for the venue. It was obvious that she wanted us to have a flawless wedding and cared about doing her job well. We had a bit of a unique wedding. My husband is Indian, his whole family is vegetarian, and I wanted a traditional American marriage (my family is far from vegetarian). JAM worked extremely hard to learn how to make a specific, traditional Indian dish that we requested. Our formal tasting was a ton of fun -- we took my parents, came away extremely full and confident that the food at the wedding would come out well. They wowed us with some of the dishes! We were particularly happy with how receptive and open the JAM staff were about the food. At our tasting, the off-menu Indian dish was below our expectations, even though it was obvious that the staff (who had no prior experience in Indian cuisine) put in a lot of time and effort. We gave them feedback, and they were very eager to improve and perfect the recipe. They even called my mother-in-law to make sure the dish would live up to her expectations. At a follow-up tasting, the owner himself let us (and my mother-in-law) into the kitchen to try out the new recipe, and it really came out very well. We received so many compliments from our guests that the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding! We had a stations-style dinner and chose the following entrees, which I will list with feedback from our guests: -Fresh pasta (with pesto sauce, alfredo sauce, or meat sauce): our guests said that they went back several times for more helpings because the pesto and alfredo, in particular, were so fantastic. The pasta was fresh and not overcooked. -Carved turkey: turkey was tender and juicy, really an accomplishment for a buffet. -Dosa (traditional Indian dish): this was the dish that we asked JAM to make especially for our wedding. We had several tastings, and each time the recipe improved. Both the dish and its accompaniments were excellent on the day of the wedding, and our Indian guests were very pleased that they were able to eat a dish representative of their culture. Also, if you choose Jeffrey Miller as your caterer, don't miss the coconut shrimp as one of the hors d'oeuvres. I'm fairly confident that we received a compliment from every guest that tried them. We also added a small expense by adding the ready-made donut station for dessert. They were amazing, and served in cute containers that our guests could take away to save for later. We had a few guests with severe food allergies. JAM went out of their way to prepare special dishes for these individuals, which really made them feel special, and like the bride and groom had paid extra attention to their needs. For any summer brides, the air conditioning in the bridal suite is a great perk. Nice to have a place to cool off if you are in a big dress! We also chose to spend the extra $100 to have an owl at the wedding, and that was a huge hit with our guests! One suggestion that I could make to JAM is that they give the itemized sheet of additional expenses to the couple before they sign the contract. These are all extremely minor costs that would not have influenced our decision to have our wedding at the Audubon Center, but we still would have liked to know them in advance (costs for any extra tables, add-ons for gourmet coffee bars, high chairs for very young children). All in all, these items probably amounted to $70 for our wedding, which is very minor and did not impact our opinion of JAM. read more

I am having my wedding at one of Jeffrey Miller Catering's venues (John James Audubon Center). My fiance and I agreed that we didn't want the typical chicken, steak, or fish menu. After we saw JAM Catering's menu, we knew we wanted to choose one of their venues. Their food is all made from scratch and each item has a little twist to it. They are also willing to work with you to customize your menu to suite your tastes. This is a huge deal for me since I come from a family of picky eaters. JAM Catering just launched a "to go" part of their business, so you can try some of their delicious food before you commit to them as your caterer. The hard part is choosing between all of their menu items. Since JAM handles all of the details of our venue, they are our point of contact for all things wedding related. So far, everything has gone smoothly and stress free. I have mostly spoken with Shannon and Michelle. They are both fantastic to work with! I have enjoyed every step of the planning process. JAM supplies almost everything you need for your big day, even some decor items. You will need to purchase your own alcohol, but they offer some suggestions to help guide you. The venue we chose is currently under renovations (none will interfere with weddings), which are set to be completed next year. JAM Catering sends out renovation updates monthly, so their clients know what is going on at the location. I think this is a nice touch. I enjoy reading through the email, looking at pictures, and envisioning my wedding there. read more

The catering was one of the major selling points when picking our venue, especially knowing that our wedding at Bishop Farmstead would be farm to table and that they could accommodate food allergies! They were so thoughtful with every detail of the process, and the event staff even told me what items to avoid for cocktail hour since I have a lot of food allergies. The cocktail hour was phenomenal. It was so lovely to meet and chat with Jeffery during cocktail hour! The food portions during the sit down tasting of entrees and desserts were much bigger than expected and so fresh and good. It was hard to pick a favorite! I went to a wedding at the Anthony Wayne House a few years ago, catered by JAM catering. I was so impressed by the cocktails displayed on an antique dresser, and the delicious hors d'oevres. One that really stuck out to me for taste and presentation was the BBQ in a jar - it was creative and delicious! The entrees were amazing too, everyone had nothing but great things to say about them. Fast forward 5+ years later and my fiancé and I are getting married there this September, and we're so excited to have them cater our wedding! read more

I can't stress how impressed I've been with the services this catering company provides. Our food tasting was amazing, they served fresh hors d'oeuvres that are in season and most popular dishes. We absolutely knew what we liked and what we prefer not to have. There was an abundance of hors d'oeuvres and all the popular cocktail hour stations provided amazing food. Our favorite was the BBQ in a Jar and the tomahawk steaks. They provided a few of their adult signature drinks, which were amazing. Fresh and beautifully displayed. Such a large event, but our wedding coordinator always made herself available to us and made sure to answer our questions. Very excited to work with her. read more

Beautiful venue at Duke sculpture garden but unpleasant experience with people who ran it and we found ourselves wishing we had chosen another company. Our guests were reprimanded continually throughout ceremony and reception. Were quoted one price and at the end upcharged a lot more. Some of the food was cold and my family complained about it. Oh well. This is only in retrospect - I married the love of my life, but I wish the experience planning and executing the actual event had been more pleasant and less stressful. read more
