I didn't really enjoy my time at this school, the food wasn't very good, and most of the students and teachers are weirdos.

I have experience with every private HS in south Orange County & this is school is hands down the best !! They are so invested in the students & treat them like family as opposed to a payment. My daughter struggled & wasn't by far the easiest student but they cared for her every step of the way.. God bless Mr. C for being a strong cheerleader for her even when we were disillusioned with her goals. Your faith kept our faith strong in her future. Btw to the comment of the Korean national the school is at least 20% international & many accommodations are made for them that aren't for the "caucasian" students. Everyone believes it is done with good intentions & I agree.

The school includes ALL subjects in GPA calculation as well, which allows for padding with non-academic classes. The school takes international, particularly Asian, students as Irvine has become quite popular in Asia and the fees for international students are significantly higher than for residents. If you live in Irvine and don't want your child to be competing with the top students in the area, send them here. They can get higher grades more easily and get a leg up in college admissions.

Our son was attending a large public high school when the COVID-19 pandemic started. This highly…read morerated public high school quickly transitioned to an online learning environment, but only provided one synchronous lecture per week for each class. As our son, and many of his classmates, fell further and further behind in their online classes, we repeatedly reached out to the school administration, including the principal, as did the parents of our son's school friends. However, the school's administration was uniformly unresponsive to our concerns. So, we decided to take our son out of the public school system, and place him in a private school. Our son transferred to Pacific Academy during his junior year of high school. I really can't say enough good things about our experience at Pacific Academy over the past almost two years. Everyone from the principal to the teachers and administrative staff have all been amazing. They are all very passionate about their mission to educate their students, as well as to help their students grow and develop into well-rounded young men and women. The small class sizes allow for a very personalized approach to teaching, and both the teachers and the principal are very interactive and collaborative with parents. The quality of teaching in all of our son's classes has been exceptional, and all of his teachers have welcomed engagement with us. (Unlike at the public high school our son previously attended.) I would especially like to recognize the principal at Pacific Academy, Keith Corpus, and the Director of Student Affairs, Jasmine Hsu. Their dedication, compassion, and empathy towards their students, and their families, has been extraordinary. They have both also been tremendously supportive as students, parents, and teachers have all worked together to manage the enormous (and ever-changing) impact of the pandemic. Honestly, we have come to view Mr. Corpus and Ms. Hsu as if they were part of our family, and we are so grateful to them for their dedication and commitment to their students, including our son. My only regret is that we did not transfer our son to Pacific Academy sooner. We love this school, and its faculty and staff, and we are so grateful that our son has been able to attend Pacific Academy!

The selection of textbooks for core curriculum is so far fetched that 3 of my son's private tutors, all with PhD degree, shook their heads constantly because they had to they struggle with the CPM material - the so-called college grade stuff. 2. Integrated Science is a joke. It combines so many stuff into a single course and in the end the students suck at all of them. 3. It does not offer anywhere near the number of AP courses available at other Irvine high schools. 4. Some middle-aged female math and science teachers are totally irresponsible and out of whack. These people won't survive a week in the real world. Yeah, trust your sons and daughters with these bunch of losers. I gave 1 star and it is for those few hard-working teachers. I'll definitely move out of the NHS boundary when my daughter goes to high school. Good luck and goodbye.
