The piping has become unattached a few months ago. I'm giving him one star because of his attitude. He's passive-aggressive and sarcastic. He always seemed irritated. Each appliance my Mom bought (stove, refrigerator, upright freezer) she was told that since the plug won't reach she should just use an extension cord. In double checking she found out that this is dangerous and a fire hazard (thank you Ft Bragg Electric). When she called to notify Canclini they told her on the phone they "Didn't want to listen to this." And cut her off. Being from an older and more vulnerable demographic, this seems very predatory and dismissive. My advice would be if you need any appliances on the North Coast this place would be a last resort. Well, the yesterday our stove finally died and we did what we usually do -- we went to Sears. We were at first completely ignored and then treated so rudely at Sears (and told to order online if we wanted the advertised shipping discount) that we left. On the way home, my wife gave in and stopped by Kelseyville Appliance -- something we have debated in the past. We were surprised to find competitive prices, unmatched customer service, cheaper delivery, professional installation, and the ability to have it delivered the next day. We bought a stove nearly $100 cheaper than Sears (same model) and received friendlier service and and faster delivery. in fact, including delivery, setup and hauling away our old stove the cost was $35... versus $85 at Sears. I saw only 5-Star reviews on yelp before and I admit I was skeptical, but Kelseyville Appliance has earned a lifelong customer. My only regret is that I didn't find this business sooner. Please give these folks a shot next time you go looking, and I think you'll be amazed -- not to mention you will be supporting a local family and a small business.

But when I called 3 years later, still under warranty, they told me that they had outsourced the extended warranty contracts to a company called "Centricity" in Florida and that it was my responsibility to deal directly with them. Try Googling "Centricity complaints" and you will understand why I consider them to be a scam company from which I was unable to secure service of any kind after two weeks of trying; long/frequent hold times, closing case repeatedly without explanation, language barriers and getting automated product sales pitches with no other options when calling. So I gave up and bought a new wash elsewhere. EVA told me they were aware of the issues I was experiencing but when I asked to be reimbursed for a warranty which ultimately was not available to me they declined. In my opinion that this reflects unethical practices at best and fraud at worst. Buyer beware.

I was fortunate enough to meet Richard Landen while I was there. Richard was very knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. I told Richard I needed to discuss a few of the model options with my wife, and I'd call him with a decision within a week. I phoned Richard a few days later, and told him which model Subzero we wanted to order. He couldn't have made the whole purchase any easier. Richard emailed me the receipt, and told me the new Subzero would be available for pickup in a few days. Richard was kind enough to inform me that if I selected a certified installer Subzero adds an extra year to the warranty! So I figured I had better do just that, and I went with Top Tier Appliance Installations which is owned by John Yeager. If there was ever an appropriately named business, it's John's business! John and his crew really were top tier! From keeping me apprised of their arrival time to protecting my floors removing the old SubZero, to being diligent as they carefully lugged these 800 pound machines (both the old Subzero and the new Subzero) up and down my stairs without damaging my home! The installation job they did on my new Subzero was spectacular! I would highly recommend John and his team without reservation! I'm a very particular guy, and John and his team are definitely welcome back in my home anytime. Going forward, anytime I need new appliances, I will be calling Richard at Tee Vax to buy them, and John at Top Tier Appliance Installations to install them!
