The owner and staff are always very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! Being new to embroidery, I've had a lot of questions and they are always there to help...even over the phone. The products are excellent and the support you get when buying a machine is top notch! There are so many classes and groups going on there and they always make you feel welcome to join any or all. I took my broken Dyson there. The owner said that he works on Dyson all the time. The part that was broken was no longer available I was told. Disappointed I was going to sell my machine for parts. Instead, I figured out what I needed, ordered it and replaced it myself. Admittedly, it was tough. After watching a few U Tube videos I was able to get it done. I felt that Jeff's sewing and vacuum is a great place to go but if Dave says it can't be fixed, go for a second opinion. No one's perfect. read more

Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. Today, the repair guy, David, was RUDE, DISMISSIVE, AND COMPLETELY OUT OF LINE! Ordered some spare filters for my vacuum nearly A MONTH AGO. That day, David called his supplier and confirmed price, availability, and with my approval ordered them. I PREPAID the price quoted. They never called to say they came in. I happened to be running an errand out this way and called to ask about the filters. At first it took him nearly 5 minutes of fumbling through paperwork before he concluded the parts weren't available. I said he was mistaken because he had called the supplier and got the prices before I paid and placed the order. He confirmed my name THREE MORE TIMES. I had to tell him he scribbled my name and number and parts into the bottom left side of a page on his note pad. He finally found THAT info and conceded that I did in fact have an order. He found ONE filter, then went back to the excuse that one wasn't available. I had to convince him that he did INDEED order my parts, which I had IN FACT paid for. He told me to bring the vacuum BACK across town and offered to jerry-rig a filter from spare foam. I said NO, that wouldn't have the rubber ring to seal the canister!!! (I'm no vacuum repair guy, but.... I'm also NOT STUPID EITHER!!!). What the HELL??? Is that their idea of "repairing" machines?? I said I'm not dragging my equipment across town again. He said... and I quote "WELL OK, HAVE A GOOD DAY" *click* and hung up on me!!!! I was livid. I was only a block away. He called back immediately and said he found both the filters... after several attempts to essentially gaslight me into believing I was totally wrong about the transaction and purchase. When I came in, he was RUDE. I asked him how he could treat customers so unprofessionally.... He said "oh here we go..." -- What... I'm not entitled to be upset over being treated so poorly, my parts had been paid for and I was being denied my merchandise?!?!?! And this guy David claimed to be the owner!!!!! At JEFF'S?!?! I will be taking my business to the vacuum shop on Deans Bridge Road from now on. These folks are so full of themselves!!! Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere!!! RIP OFF!!! Only reason I'm even leaving one Star is because I have to in order to leave a review. Beyond fuming mad! New to the area, this is the only place I found for sewing machines. I wanted to venture in embroidery and possibly purchase a sewing/monogramming/embroidery machine. I went in to see all the machines they have on display. They have a nice selection, which allowed me to look at pricing and options in person, which is probably the only thing I can say was half decent. The lady helping me, I cannot remember her name (think it started with a "D") was super sweet and very helpful. She is the only reason I bothered to go back. The other female, visibly older, walks around like she runs the show (idk, maybe she does) and is RUDE as ALL get out!!! It was very clear that if you were not making a purchase, she had no interest or time to talk to you. I spent about 30 minutes with "D" trying to get a stitch to work on a basic machine and it didn't look right (it wasn't). She got the repair man and he couldn't figure it out at all. I say that to say this-I reluctantly went back, hoping to get my 15 year old machine checked out because it kept wadding up in the bobbin. I explained this to the male, he said "It's your tension, there's nothing wrong with the machine." I asked if he could please look at it and just make sure and if they could please call me and let me know before they do anything. He said oh yea, sure we always call before doing any work. I should have taken my machine and left!!! I get a call about a month later that my machine had been fixed and it was $79.95. I said wait, what was fixed? Why wasn't I called before hand or notified before work was done??? The lady on the phone (I know for a fact was Mrs. Rude) said, "Well, I can have him undo what he did, it's not a problem." I asked WHAT was fixed? She said "Well I don't know but it works and it's ready." I was not happy with that answer. I went to pick up my machine and the man brought it out and said yep, all fixed, $79.95. I asked WHAT had been fixed? He said, "well I'm not really sure." GTFO!!! I said so someone was supposed to call me before working on it and I didn't get a call. He looks at the tag and says, yes, someone called on this date, i explained that at the time of the call, i was told it was ready to be picked up-not what needed to be done. So I asked again WHAT was fixed. He said, "Oh, you had a short so I replaced that." I said, but there was no issue with the power. Looking at the tag again he said, well, it works. I explained to him I brought it in because the bobbin would get stuck and the machine would this stop. He said, "Oh, yea, I fixed that too." Bull crap. Bull crap. Bull crap. He was lying straight to my face. I will not ever go back there again and will definitely be finding somewhere else. read more

I've made three major purchases here, a high-end serger, a sewing machine, and a high-end 6 needle embroidery machine and I have been totally satisfied with both the price and the customer service. Jeff beat his competitor's price by a wide margin and it has been a pleasure doing business with him and his staff. Service is fast and Jeff offers warrantees beyond the manufacturer 's. I've just started a block of the month quilt with them and they have been wonderfully supportive to this newbie. Fabric prices are good and the selection and quality are excellent. An indicator of the quality of the store and staff are the number of people visiting, buying and taking classes. An all-round excellent group of professional people to work with. read more

After hearing great things about this business I took my Rainbow vacuum in for repair. I was told the motor was burned up and would need replaced. The cost was going to be around $250. I decided to not have the repair done and brought my vacuum home. A month later I had another repair shop look at my vacuum. They found a worn out rubber part on the power wheel. The cost of the part and repair was $10! I was and still am disappointed that a so called reputable company would try to take advantage and rip off customers!!!! read more
