It is cash-only, but I appreciate the customer service offered here. For example: I brought in a pair of pants where the fabric had ripped under the belt loop. Because she recognized this would probably happen again due to how the pants were made, she reinforced behind the rest of the belt loops as well at no additional cost.

I recently took a pair of ladies unlined dress pants to Em's to be shortened and re-hemmed. I…read morebought the pants, which were fairly expensive, to wear to my granddaughter's wedding and needed them back in a couple of weeks. The original hem in the pants was a blind stitch which every professional seamstress or tailor would agree is the appropriate hem for this type of pants. Em's was prompt in getting the pants back to me but she hemmed them on a sewing machine with a straight stitch and one leg was 1/2" shorter than the other. There was even double stitching in one area on the outside of the leg, very visible. I will not use her again. I took the pants to a professional alteration shop in town to be reworked with the proper blind stitch, they are charging me $15 vs Em's price of $25. Lesson learned!
