The only thing I was dissatisfied with was - when she altered my husband's pants, she did not alter the crotch; she only took in the sides on the pant legs. In fact, I might just bring them back in and see if she will complete that job? Truly, though, I do wish more of the good comments for Hem & Sew would be "recommended" because the one Yelp chose thus far as a "recommended" review is hands down a ridiculous review! How can his review be recommended when he did not even patronized the place? He says he does not want to because they support police officers? Police officers are here to protect us all. The original hem in the pants was a blind stitch which every professional seamstress or tailor would agree is the appropriate hem for this type of pants. Em's was prompt in getting the pants back to me but she hemmed them on a sewing machine with a straight stitch and one leg was 1/2" shorter than the other. There was even double stitching in one area on the outside of the leg, very visible. I will not use her again. I took the pants to a professional alteration shop in town to be reworked with the proper blind stitch, they are charging me $15 vs Em's price of $25. Lesson learned!
