I am very satisfied with the work Jeff's just did for me. I originally had a quote for a larger job but ended up doing a lot of work myself. When I asked Jeff's to re-quote based on the new scope of work, they agreed to a price that was more than fair. I needed the work done in a matter of days so I could have another job done and they came through for me - completing it all in about 5 hours. My only complaint and word of advice/caution for those having work done, is that they did not cover my Air Conditioning units, so debris ended up inside the air handlers that I'd rather not have had there. Jeff, the owner, just left my property in Lago Vista. My first question was, "Are you an arborist". He is not; his qualifications were that he has been climbing trees since he was a boy and that he inherited the business from his Dad. He said, "I don't have to be an arborist to trim trees." So we started talking about the Ball Moss that's in my oak tree (my tree that my neighbor wants me to trim) and he said, "It's killing your tree." This is factually wrong as I pointed out. He insisted in the rudest way imaginable. I ran him off - will not pay him a dime. What's more, this is not my first time with Jeff - he came to my house once before, years ago, and was just as rude then. Oaks are especially susceptible to oak-wilt virus - which WILL kill your tree. As other posters have noted he and/or his crew are rather indifferent to proper protocols for disinfecting tools or sealing fresh cuts. I CANNOT RECOMMEND HIM LESS. read more

Do NOT hire this guy!!! He is very personable and friendly, and gains your trust immediately. However, after he finished the job that we had agreed upon, and the estimate clearly stated, and I quote, "clear cedar branches off the side of the house", he cut down an entire tree! When I tried to discuss it with him, he responded with the comment "Look lady, I already did the job and I gave you a really good deal. I can't even believe you would call me about it". SHOWED UP DRUNK AND LATE FOR QUOTE. WOULD NOT HONOR INSURANCE. We called Jeff and requested a quote for 3 dangerous trees that were overhanging our roof. Our appointment was originally for 4:00, but he did not even call until 4:30, when he said he would be late and arrive at 5:00pm. He called again and said he couldn't make it until 7:00, after dark to look at our trees. When he finally arrived he reeked of alcohol and was obviously intoxicated. In addition, he told us that unless we spent a minimum of $500 he would not guarantee his work or honor his insurance policy. The whole reason we called a professional was to obtain insurance since our trees were so close to the house. So he tried to bully us into spending more if we wanted his guarantee and insurance. Worst of all however, is that he was SOOOO DRUNK he actually forgot he had done our estimate. Jeff called my husband the next morning to see if he had an estimate scheduled with us, or if he had schedule the job. He could NOT even remember coming to our house. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN WITH YOUR TREES OR A CHAINSAW. read more

This company was working in my neighborhood which is in a known oak wilt site. The crew was not following protocol for pruning oak trees. The crew was informed that the City did not recomend cutting oak trees at this time of year. When the crew was asked kindly to be sure to disinfect their equipment and prune paint the oaks they spitefully began cutting more oak trees and told us this is how we cut oaks. When calling their office for help it was found that Jeff was more unprofessional and rude than his workers. This company is not professional and obviously hire day laborers to do their work. They are not certified arborist and should not be allowed to cut valuable trees. The city contacted them and advised them that they would not be allowed to work in the Village of Point Venture if they continued to treat the residents with disrespect and didn't follow oak wilt pruning protocols.
