Having purchased firewood over 20 years it's refreshing to finally deal with a professional company! 1. You can purchase on line! Another place only takes phone calls and you may or may not speak a polite representative. 2. They deliver and stack the wood! That other place doesn't deliver. You have to go get the firewood or arrange delivery with someone else. 3. You get email confirmation with your expected delivery date. Yeah, that other place did none of that. 4. I got to provide delivery instructions during the sale, explaining which gate to enter and exactly where I wanted the wood. 5. I got text updates! On my delivery day, I got texts saying when to expect delivery. 6. They arrived when they said they would!!! Don't count on that with the other guys. 7. The delivery guy was not only polite but he was dressed well and appeared clean. I only mention the cleanliness thing as the others would smell, be unshaven and slovenly dressed. 8. Stacked neatly! Tried Cowboys first due to lower prices. Upon completing order I received an automated response that the store wasn't accepting payments. Tried the next day. Same thing. Clicked on Help icon, which said response would be immediate. No response. Called them but their mailbox was full. My original review was bad. I got the wrong wood and they stacked it in the wrong place. Since that review, Josh texted me, refunded my purchase, and delivered the right wood at the right price. Pablo stacked it right where I wanted it and was very efficient. I really appreciated his work. That guy is a keeper. I was in the customer service field for many years and I can say with experience that this response exceeds my expectations. Quick review: I used Woodchuck based on personal referrals and the great reviews and responses form the company here. I ordered half a cord of standard cut mesquite. We have used it for two fires so far and it is well dried and the aroma is great! Though it does make me want brisket. We will be using Woodchuck from now on. Extra Details: We had an event, 50th wedding anniversary for my aunt & uncle. They made a note and assured delivery the day before the vow renewal ceremony at our home. They actually were able to deliver a day before that (texted and checked with me first). Josh arrived a little later than expected, after dark. He texted and called before coming to house to make sure it wasn't inconvenient for us. I met him outside and showed him where our wood rack was located in the backyard. He did an awesome job and was super friendly. They use an app and he took pictures when done to confirm even though I was there with him. It's a nice touch especially if we hadn't been home.
