My son and new daughter-in-law were married here on Saturday and it was quite nice. The setup was gorgeous and the food quite good as well. Beautiful location and facilities to accommodate most venues. Highly recommended

Hi Lorie, Thanks…read morefor your passive aggressive response! I don't care if bugs are in your area in August. Your staff failed to clean properly. It was not only live spiders, it was dead bugs riddled along the walls. Whether the filth was behind the bed or underneath it is semantics and just goes to show you fail to take responsibility for anything. Not only that, but Jamie received 0 hostility from our party months before the wedding. The first time we met Jamie was for our walk through in July and we certainly notified him of our walk through time. He failed to check his emails. If Ben was fired due to unprofessionalism, why did you tell my coordinator that all brides would hire him directly? I'll post that screenshot below. He must not have been that bad if you were willing to reinstate him in future packages. If your package doesn't include a coordinator then don't include it on your website. Simple. Besides all of this, we're also now finding out Jamie scheduled 2 couples to do their food tasting on our wedding day, but told the caterer he only scheduled one. When the second couple arrived, they were given a portion of OUR extra food. You guys never confirmed this with us. So not only were strangers at our wedding, you gave them our food, which according to Jamie, is customary for your venue. We've also been made aware that Jamie's real name is Tim, so for every time we thought we were communicating with you, we communicated with Jamie the ENTIRE time. I did not post a review until now because with the type of business you run, I was concerned if we left a bad review we would not get our security deposit back, as you tried to do to another bride. It's a shame that you have such a beautiful venue, because an owner like you that fails to take accountability ruins it. Hopefully whoever decides to buy it in the future will run it better. If, according to you, the brides happiness is first priority, then you've done an absolutely horrible job at showing it! I'll make sure to respect this in my other reviews as well. Have the day you deserve.

Pictures do not do this stunning venue justice! I took a tour of the Vista del Lago estate…read moreyesterday and it is a jewel. The estate itself is available to rent out for family reunions, a romantic getaway, or ladies retreat weekends. They can also accommodate events...weddings, quincenearas, corporate events, fundraisers, school proms, etc. Almost any size event or experience can be accommodated. The owners, Frank and Sanam, are very warm and welcoming. They are perfectionists who want to make your experience the absolute best it can be. The home itself is ... wow ... just wow. Magnificent. You pull into the gated drive, there is a beautiful fountain roundabout. Double doors welcome you into the foyer and you are immediately awed by a grand double staircase leading to the second floor. There are so many beautiful and functional living spaces, a pool table, chefs kitchen (perfect for a cooking demonstration experience or wine tasting event), plenty of set up space for caterers and other event staff to unload and organize, a magnificent custom built dining table with velvet brocade chairs, more crystal chandeliers than I could count! My husband would die for the full theater room (complete with three rows of comfy reclining chairs and cozy blankets). Upstairs there are four Juliet balconies overlooking the 20 acre estate and lake. Every bedroom suite has its own bathroom and sitting areas. The master suite has a two way fireplace so you can bask in the warmth in bed and in the sitting area. The master bathroom has a massive shower and bathtub. The bridal suite features a custom sitting area, three salon quality stations, a huge gilded mirror. No detail has been spared for their guests comfort. There are graceful winding stairs leading down to the courtyard from the bridal suite...imagine the entrance a bride could make descending the stairs while attendants rained down rose petals from the balcony! The venue offers many wedding packages, including an all inclusive package...relax and everything is taken care of for you! Plus, you can honeymoon right there on the estate. Wow! Outdoors there are areas for soccer, tennis, a pool, outdoor sitting areas, barbecue area, strung lights, a beautiful gazebo draped in mature wisteria. Oh, and did I mention that there is a PRIVATE LAKE! There are fish in the lake and you are welcome to bring your fishing pole! There is a boat loading dock. The sunsets from the Juliet balcony in the bridal suite are awe inspiring. There are so many amazing possibilities for this beautiful place. Whether you are planning a romantic tête-à-tête, a dance party (no noise restrictions or curfew!), a corporate event, or pampering weekend for you and your girls, or the wedding of your dreams this is the place! I am hoping to hold a fundraiser here next year for a non-profit organization and can't wait to plan it! I hope you are able to come out and plan your event, big or small. Absolutely stunning versatile venue, stellar customer service and genuinely nice owner/operators.

Great service! We were there for late lunch early dinner and the bar tender took great care of us.read more

I must say this was my first time actually staying in Bakersfield and I was honestly surprised that…read morethe Marriott was completely booked! Granted it looked like all construction workers because there was nothing else but oversized trucks in their parking lot! My fiancé Googled "clean hotel without bed bugs" and Padre Hotel came up first! Their online reviews were great and we were exhausted and needed to rest! We pulled into their valet parking just to drop off our things. As my fiancé parked the car, across the street in the over night garage, I was able to get a Single King room on a Monday night for $159. As we walked into our room #701, it was rather small, but fine since it was just the two of us. As I sat on the bed, it was actually hard! Yay!!!! I can't STAND soft beds and rather sleep on the floor! Haha no joke! Then my fiancé went into the restroom and suddenly he tapped on something glass sounding as I was turning ing on the tv..... I noticed there was a curtain by the bed, so I pulled it across and lo and behold by the bed was the shower and just a curtain the person from the outside of the shower could open/close as they please..... hee. We also had a mini fridge in the room along with a desk and chair. We had planned on staying one night, but got inside LA, and we figured we'd extend our stay. Upon doing so, we went downstairs the next day and asked if there was a deal if we could stay 3-4 days, and sure enough there was!!!! It's always great to see what happens once you ask! Hee. We got a larger room with a corner room location, I forgot the room number, but the restroom was larger and had a separate wall between the toilet and shower area, so if someone was in the shower, someone else could use the toilet and not be seen. This longer hotel room also had a chaise lounge chair and a better view of their downtown area, granted a lot of the places have closed. Overall, I honestly loved our stay here! It reminded me of a county version of The Fairmont SF! They constantly played new aged country music in the lobby! Then on Fridays and Saturdays there was a live band or singer in the bar area! I love how they had a community aspect to the hotel with some local live entertainment!!! My fiancé also loved watching The Knicks play on the bar tv with other people at the bar! Hee. Oh and they had an adorable coffee shop that made Ready To Order items downstairs too! See my review at Farmacy Cafe, but too freaking too! Country SHREK! Hee We will definitely be back again!!!!!
