Basic care like bathroom assistance and emotional support was often overlooked. Communication from administration was slow, and any attempt at corrective action only came after multiple efforts on our part to explain the neglect our child experienced. It left us feeling like our child simply wasn't welcome which was incredibly difficult to witness as parents. One kind staff member stood out, but overall, this is not the nurturing or responsive environment we expected or would recommend.

We really feel so comfortable leaving our children there. Management is very good communicating with us when there are things going on we need to be aware of. The app allows us to know what's going on in real time. They also offer the option to view the children in the room which helped us feel more comfortable. Yes it is more expensive than some other options in the area but it's worth it. We've recommended it to a few families in the area.

My son just entered Kindergarten this year and I can't recommend the school enough. Great caring…read moreteachers and a very nurturing environment. They have a weekly class blog so that you know what is going on in the class. Its only been a month of school and they already learned how to do tallies, graphs, probability. Its very focused on the core academics. My son is taking the after school program so now he is learning 2 languages Mandarin and Spanish. I thought he would hate it instead he looks forward to it and comes home talking to me like hey do you know how to count in Spanish? (He learned this just after 1 week of class) They also have yoga classes and the teacher is amazing, he can't wait to show me all these poses. I have seen his confidence grow so much in the past month. In his previous school he was a very quick learner and I was worried he wouldnt be challenged and just bored. I couldn't be more wrong. They tailor the homework and work to your child and aren't afraid to push them. If you are looking at private schools, in my opinion PJS is the top tier. I toured all of them in the area, PDS, Chapin, Friends etc. and at the end I took a chance with PJS only because I loved the open space. I was worried that academically it might not have been up to par with the other private school or public schools (I live in one of the top districts in the area). I have two friends going to the private schools mentioned (Kindergarten) and PJS quite frankly raises the bar. I think it is because of the new curriculum they have been using. This is a great school. You will not be disappointed sending your child here, if I only knew then what I do now. The choice would have been a no brainer.

Princeton Junior School (PJS) is a very special place. Our son has been lucky enough to be a…read morestudent at PJS for four years. The school has helped him grow and learn, but most importantly PJS has helped him grow to love learning! In his lessons he has found a joy in discovery and growth and a curiosity that will serve him well for the rest of his life. Our PJS student tells me that "This school is the best! The teachers are all really nice, we have great lessons and projects, and we learn a lot!" The IB orientation helps to teach in a way that each individual student can get the most from the lessons. Being part of an international community as an IB school is present in the population of the school and the curriculum they teach. Princeton Junior School is not just important to our rising 5th grader. Our entire family has found a community in PJS that supports our child and all of us, that has introduced us to families that have become our friends, and that we are proud to be a part of. Our child is the most important thing in our lives, and Princeton Junior School is a place that has earned our trust and our gratitude in helping him develop and grow into a strong student and curious global citizen.

When you call and no one answers (they rarely answer) it does not even say Tomorrow's Stars. An automated recording will just say you've called and lists the phone number. I brought up my worries about not knowing how my child's day was and said I would be satisfied with a note or a photo a day and I was told they'll try. I received three photos and zero notes in the span of two months. I'm a teacher who has worked in daycares. I know it's busy and understaffed. Their communication is nonexistent unless they want to remind you to bring money in for some event. I was never told they were closed for two weeks at the end of December until the day before my child started. I understand infants are tough, but I received one art project in two months. My child was bit twice (within the span of a month...with 2 weeks off!) and when my husband went to pick up and ask for the incident form he was told "ask your wife." . I guess they thought he was going to ask what happened when they already called me, but it's just the environment for me and I cannot recommend it to anyone.

The instructors are really nice and friendly; they are truly there to help you. They are all completely understanding and know where to start helping you. Although its a pretty big price for the sat class, I personally feel that it is completely worth it. They come up with their own materials (which are really good - they're structured like the actual test but a little harder to push you) and provide a lot of other materials. In the sat package I paid for, I got a Writing class and a English/Math class, all of which were super helpful. The writing class involved a lot of practice writing and practice analysis. The English and Math classes were well structured; It isn't held like a normal SAT intensive program. There are classes and then there are workshops. Overall, I think it is one of the best preps I've attended.

What a tremendous experience. This has given him an opportunity to be around like-minded kids and not only have an educational experience, but a social one as well. As much as he enjoys hanging out with the other campers, he's a huge fan of the instructors too and truly looks up to them. Based on his comments and what I've seen when dropping him off and picking him up, the instructors relate well to the campers. That's a huge plus. As a parent, my expectations for what he gets out of the camp are realistic and have been met every year. I don't expect my son to walk out of there an expert in whatever course he took that week. As long as he had fun, was challenged and inspired, and made some friends if even for a week, it was a worthwhile experience. He's already looking forward to doing it again this year.
