'Twas a rainy Saturday in mid-May when, after shopping, some sweet treats seemed to be in order. The store is small and an approximately equal-sized kitchen is on the other side. The glass case had a nice assortment of delectable goodies. As expected, inside smelled delicious and the interior was inviting. I didnt catch the name of the nice lady behind the counter, although she was most pleasant, affable, and helpful. She did comment that although not the owner, she enjoys working in such a tasty environment. I decided on a piece of strawberry cheesecake, and one each of peanut butter, sugar and oatmeal cookie. I had driven past this shop twice, and finally had some extra time to get in there while it was open, and I'm glad I did. The shop is very European-ish in appearance; perfectly arranged rows of chocolates of every type. Teas, gelatos, coffees and other goods round out the offerings. I had my mind set on chocolates, and did a little browsing to get an idea of what was what. The young guy working there was in training and was pretty nervous. Rebecca, who had been busy with something else, came to the rescue. She was just wonderful; knew the products inside and out, and explained the different types of chocolates and how they were priced. I was able to make a decent selection of truffles and Rebecca hand wrapped each piece and put them in a box- the presentation was perfect as I had mentioned I would be bringing these for some friends to try. Had a great conversation while she toiled away, and the background music was the perfect accompaniment to the wares. Overall it was a wonderful visit, with fabulous customer service. I am basically reviewing their Chocolate covered Pretzels, candy lollipops and non-pareils, and each were fantastic. The chocolate they use to cover the pretzels isn't the cheap waxy stuff you get from the store bought kind and the non-pareils were smooth and melted nicely in your mouth. The candy lollipops had good flavor and took a good long time to melt away, Fiancee liked the watermelon flavor, I'm partial to strawberry.
