Additionally i couldnt find anyone to do bright, vibrant, lasting colors on my hair. The last time i saw her, i asked for something bright and vibrant, I was sick of dark. She said it would require an additional process, more time than she had booked for me. I told her i had my heart set on something lighter. She made time for me on the spot. I had a specific shade in mind based off an old color i had done years ago. The color turned out brighter than i imagined but beautiful. I just wasnt sure i could pull it off. However, I havent stopped getting complements on it. Katherine did an amazing job and challenged me to try something new. She has great vision and is fun to chat with. The more than three hours i spent with her flew by. I definitely recommend her, you wont be disappointed. She has a private room so you are completely comfortable with her. Unfortunately I did not have a positive experience with the stylist or the end result of my hair. The majority of the time I was getting my hair done it was silent, at least from my stylist. It was really awkward. I tried asking her a couple of questions to get at least some sort of conversation going but her answers were short. I did end up hearing about a personal issue she's having and a couple other personal details, all of which made the experience even more awkward. She and the other stylists talked about how lazy one of their partners was, lamented about being "broke", and talked poorly of a customer who'd left a message asking about an appointment. Regarding the haircut/style, I asked for a couple inches taken off of my hair and said I wanted to keep most of the length. My hair was LONG. I showed her a photo of the style I wanted, to which she responded with how my hair was too thick. I pointed out that it was the length of layers I was referring to. She asked if she could cut it dry and straighten it so that it would be even and I hesitated (verbally) explaining that my hair is wavy and I don't normally straighten it. I expressed that I was worried that it would look even shorter after I wash it because I don't wear it straight and I wanted to keep length. She assured me it would be fine. As soon as she made the first cut in the back I knew it was too short because I could feel it. Again, my hair was long. But at that point it was too late so I just tried to make the best of the situation but given that the "chair side manner" was lacking it felt like torture. And now I have hair that barely hits my shoulders, despite the her saying "a couple inches BELOW the shoulders, right?" If you have curly or wavy hair, I definitely wouldn't recommend this place because that needs to be taken into consideration by a stylist when cutting it. If you have straight hair or wear yours straight it might be fine, but don't expect any interaction from your stylist.
