Having recently moved from Northern NJ and looking for a hair salon home, I believe I found my place!! I was able to book my appointment online (jennastyles.com) and immediately found an appointment slot! I went in for what I thought should be a partial balayage, because I had recently done a full and wanted more color, however, it turns out what I paid full price for at another salon, I had only received more of an ombre' (womp womp). With a full balayage, great hair style and amazing products, I walked out of there feeling beautiful! She gave me just what I wanted. I highly recommend you give her a shot. Its sad that I have to right a bad review to this place. I never had any services done with them because didn't had the chance. My bad review its based on their booking service that they have on line. I scheduled a ombre with a hair cut for saturday on tuesday. Jenna and Amanda I think were designated person to work on me. That chosen! I founded strange that I never received a notification. Same day I called them and left them a message concerning my booking with them. They never return my call. I was filled with anxiety. I had a bad feeling that the day of my appointment I would not result in their system. The next day I traveled up to the salon and my biggest fear came true. Never new that you pay for a service not received yet. Also it never came out were you put your credit card for an account. Whats so sad they never acknowledge or took the time to call me back. I had to search for 4hours for another salon because I had only Saturday on hand. who is open on Sunday?? Monday I am on a plane for Europe. Short time to find a descent salon to do what wanted. Ombre and haircut its a big change. Its not a joke. Unfortunately for them they spitted on 300$ and more job without counting 20% tip. So sorry but I will never go back. I have my hair colored every 4 weeks to cover the pesky grays that keep popping up. Damn them! I'm pretty easy-going with my hair; hair grows back...no worries, right? Well, I have black hair and usually have brown-ish highlights done. The only time I take issue with how my hair turns out is when I ask for chocolate highlights and it turns out looking orangutan orange! So, I decided it was time to look for a new stylist. My appointment was with Amanda but when I showed up, I didn't realize that Jenna started my consult and color. Actually, neither one of us realized that clients were accidentally switched; she also had a new client at the same time. No worries, Amanda finished the color and did my haircut. So, this review is for both Jenna and Amanda! Jenna asked if I had any pics and before I knew it, she was working on mixing her potions! It's very important to bring photos, people!! Amanda asked to see the pics for color and the cut too and it just amazed me that they can assess a photo and make it work for you. I wish I had pics taken with my phone but I had to rush out because I was running late for something else. I love my color and cut! read more

I've been going to Jenna for a year and a half now. She keeps me looking good, always takes her time and makes sure my cut is perfect before I leave. She is amazing! Ok...so where do I start? Jenna is amazing for all the reasons listed here on Yelp. All I can add, is that after seeing her, and only her, the past year, I can confirm it is all true. I've programmed her into my phone as the "Hair Whisperer" and she truly is. Not just because she's extremely experienced, but because she really knows all hair types and she genuinely enjoys helping people. I went to her for help growing out my botched short hair. I was talked into doing an "a-line" cut by a former stylist at another salon, which was the worst decision I made in 2015! Jenna assured me my short, delicate, and baby fine hair would hold the extensions and would help me grow out my hair, in they went. I was unsure if I would like them or could handle (mentally and physically) having them in, but so far I have never regretted my decision. Besides being amazing with hair, she is the kind of person that will go above and beyond to please, meaning she will make time, make sacrifice and make it all happen for YOU. Her small and cozy studio is adorable, just like Jenna. Whatever your hair needs might be, I truly believe Jenna is your girl, and you will love her as much as everyone else does. read more

I'm really sorry I have to write this post, but my experience with this salon has been horrible. I asked for balayage and I turned out with some home-made-type of mèches of three different colors. Some of which look like I have white hair growing on the side. I texted the owner and asked her to fix my problem. Someone responded saying that she wanted to see pictures and I sent her pics. She commented "oh yes, I see what you mean!" So, she acknowledged that it was NOT a well-done job. However, to fix it, on top of the $200, i needed to spend another $80. I then said I wouldn't accept that and I was told I could go back to the stylist who first did this unprofessional job on me to fix it for free. I thanked whoever wrote me that and let it be. Few days later, I received a text saying that Jenna would like to see me and I should stop by anytime and she could decide what to do next. She just wants me to be happy with the job. I then asked to pls be more specific as to time and date but no further response was given. I truly feel like it was mocking me. I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone! On top of that it looked truly dirty and the stylist used the same dirty brush to comb me and herself. read more

Jenna is amazing! I went in for a consultation and she made sure to look at the awful condition my hair was in prior to me coming in for any service. I have naturally darker hair, but have been bleaching my hair platinum for years. I just was in need of a root touch up and toner, but the people I went to before her had damaged my hair to the point that I had coarse hair and small bald spots. Not only did she bleach my roots without causing damage, but she put me on a bunch of recommended products so that my hair could grow back. It's been exactly six weeks since I started the product and my hair has drastically improved. If you need a bleach expert, she is your girl!! read more
