We met with Zohar to do a photo shoot of my business partner and me for our website. Zohar picked out the perfect location, and patiently guided us into different positions. He was easy going, patient and very nice, and he took many photos from various angles to make sure he has everything we needed. A couple of days later we got the link to the photos and we were amazed at how beautiful he made us look :-) The photos are so crisp and well balanced, the colors are great and the background blends perfectly with the foreground. We will definitely work with Zohar again, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for any photography work. Zohar is a true artist.

Zohar took our family photos in the spring when it was a maternity shoot and toddler session. He…read moremade us feel so comfortable and was very flexible, chasing our toddler around the park capturing amazing moments and slices of life. The photos came out beautifully. Zohar also did the photography for our son's birthday at a farm. He was able to hold the attention of a gang of toddlers and get fantastic shots of them at play. He even caught a contemplative moment of my son before diving into his birthday cake. These are photos we will treasure forever. In fact, Zohar's photos were so wonderful that several of my friends subsequently hired him to do their holiday photos. Of course, we did, too. And those were even better than the previous sessions! Children of all ages feel very comfortable with Zohar. He's very down to earth and adapts his shooting style to what will work with the child(ren) in question. We did an impromptu photoshoot, a just-because-we-want-to-be-creative type shoot, back in Sept. this year (2012). I did a curtousy for you all and uploaded a picture from that shoot to here on Yelp - cue the photo of the lady in a wedding dress, twirling without a groom - story of my life - tagged as Michelle B. As you can see, this photographer has got "it" big-time. It was the most fun I've had taking photos in forever. You can actually tell I'm glowing in the picture, I was so happy because I was having such a wonderfully fun time. Andrea was open to my ideas and also liberal with incorporating her own, and I'm so glad she did, as she has some really great ones. As you can imagine, such talent is often booked well in advance. I tried to squeeze in for some last minute Christmas photos and no dice. If you're thinking about booking a photographer for an event or special occassion, I wouldn't recommend procrastinating, especially for Cloverfield. I reviewed her pictures and liked her approach to her professional photos and how they came out. She provided all of the information about cost, format, etc beforehand with examples of prior photos; discussed background options,etc. The photo session was in her studio where you could easily access the outdoors and have inside photo sessions. It was a comfortable experience. She took many photos and wanted to make sure that you were fully satisfied with your pictures. I am considering coming back for a family portrait at some point. The final results came out roughly a week later with touch ups for any stray hairs, tilted necklaces making the photo a breeze and easier to focus on the overall look rather than knitpick small areas. Recently I had some newborn photos done by Julia Bender Photography. I knew I was going to choose…read moreher for these photos since mid-pregnancy. Julie comes to your home (or location I suppose) and shoots real people using "natural light". You look like you, but softer and nicer. There's nothing gimmicky or staged about her work and after looking at a million photos on Pinterest, I decided that's exactly what I wanted. You can get cheaper shots done at JCP or the like, but people always look a little pastey and you only have a 15 minute window, so you'd better hope your little one isn't crying (for all new moms out there-- that's all infants do). You can also get much pricer photographers, if you're a Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes kind of couple and that's important to you. But I figure, kids change fast and I'll need her to do this annually. For that kind of budget, she's the right pick. It was easy enough to get ahold of her to book the appointment and she was flexible with her dates and times. Fast forward to day of: the little rascal was a crying mess, but Julia wasn't fazed, she was willing to stay as long as it took to get the photos we wanted. Admittedly, baby, husband and I were tired before she was...I probably should have waited until he was a few weeks older to do this. Nevertheless, we shot in different rooms of the house and I didn't feel rushed at all. You can choose a sitting fee (which is comparable to professional photographer' stuido fees, but less than their "on site" fees) and then buy photos a la carte (which is what I did) or you can purchase packages where you will own the rights to the digital prints (prolific facebookers will love these options). Also, I saved 10% for paying the sitting fee in cash. I used it toward the purchase of prints. Full disclosure: I know Julia's husband through work circles and that's how I discovered her work.
