Starting with our engagement shoot, we knew we loved Bill! He was game for any location, and drove around with me and my husband most of the day on a Saturday to find the most unique locations the Bay Area has to offer. If your graduate is looking for a photographer, you found him! For seniors this year -2020- was a difficult one. All of the fun events leading up to graduation were cancelled, but Bill didn't cancel or disappoint. He said he was willing to still take her pictures while maintaining the social distance of 6 feet. If you are looking for a wedding photographer, look no further than Quinn Photography!... For our wedding last June (2017), we completely lucked out finding Bill Quinn--thanks to Yelp!... I was casually looking up photographers near Fair Oaks one day, and found Bill's home/studio was walking distance from our house. I will say that our minds were pretty much made up before we even met Bill in person, just from viewing the photos on Yelp and in his online galleries. The shots were fun, creative and sometimes stunning. We knew his style was exactly what we wanted. After meeting Bill and his wife at their home--viewing sample albums and enlarged prints--we were sold completely. For us, Bill's flexibility with everything we threw at him and his laid-back style was huge. We switched our wedding format (from traditional reception to small civil ceremony), location (from wine country, to Palo Alto, to our county clerk's office) and dates more than once over a period of months. Each time I checked in and gave him the news of a switch, Bill pleasantly took it all in stride. Pricing is reasonable to start, and he will work within your budget. The packages he offers are great, but you can mix and match if needed. On the day of our civil ceremony, Bill brought along a second shooter he was mentoring at no extra charge--a pleasant surprise. He will also travel on location (e.g. to San Francisco, wine country) for a fixed price (i.e., no mileage or extra hours). Lastly, Bill was able to get our wedding album (which is gorgeous, by the way) formatted, ordered and rush-delivered in a week's time, just in time for our backyard reception. So while our budget wasn't ideal or as promising as it was when we first met, this didn't effect Bill's interest or excitement to work with us. Bill is clearly passionate about his craft and enjoys his work. His photos speak for themselves--you can't even tell that I was suffering from an upper respiratory infection and taking antibiotics on the day of the ceremony. I dont know where to start... Bill is just simply amazing. We first met Bill and his wife at a local wedding fair last year and we weren't really looking for a photographer just yet. We chit chatted a bit and made our rounds through the hall. As we were walking out, we spotted a picture on the table that we had to go up and see. Bill came over and explained the story behind the picture and we were just amazed on how dedicated to his art. We went home and immediately contacted him the next day to see if we could book him for our wedding. We explained that our wedding was going to be a minimum of 12 hours and there would be 3-4 events at several different locations. He was more than happy to accommodate us. A few months later we had our engagement session, where he drove 4 hours to meet us and spent the entire day with us. He drove us everywhere and made us feel very comfortable. He went above and beyond to find locations that he believed would be beautiful and we were not disappointed. For the wedding day, he came a day early to spend some time with us and get to know our bridal party and parents. He scoped out several different locations for us to shoot and was really dedicated to finding the perfect spot for our first look and group pictures. This was also the hottest heat wave of the year and it did not phase BIll and Phil at all. They were running around snapping away, finding various locations to shoot and dealing with my 400+ guests. They were both super attentive to ensuring that all the guests that took pictures at our tea ceremony and reception looked great. Bill would help to fix ties, hold purses and whatever else it took to make everyone look their best. Sorry for the long post, but i have to say that Bill and Phil were out MVP's of the wedding. They fought through 109' weather, 3 locations and over 14 hours of shooting. Looking for a wedding photographer for our Tahoe wedding I found that they were all very expensive and had a quite a few restrictions (I wanted 2 shooters, a full day, access to all my images after the wedding). I came across Bill, and his prices were so reasonable I figured there had to be a catch - there isn't, he is FANTASTIC!!! We were not convinced that we wanted an engagement session, but Bill had it included in the package we chose, found a date that worked for us and drove out to meet us in San Francisco, so we couldn't say no. And I am glad we didn't. It was great to meet Bill (I had met him at the Bride Expo, but it was good for my now husband to meet him) and get comfortable with his shooting style. He is very energetic and has so many great ideas for shots, he also took all of our ideas and made them work really well! We finally cut our engagement sessions off after 3.5 hours because we were hungry, but Bill would have stayed all night to get as many shots as we wanted. We got married up in Tahoe, and Bill came with his friend Ann (who was also fantastic). They came while we were getting ready and got so many great shots of us getting ready, as well as all the important details (some I didn't even think of)! I could go on and on about how much I love BIll and has AMAZING work. We had the worlds longest engagement (2years) and Bill was our first booked vendor. I met Bill at one of the first bridal shows I attended after getting engaged. We had an immediate connection. When I saw him again a few weeks later, I knew that I needed to seriously consider him for my wedding photos. I was concerned about choosing the right photographer, because our wedding ceremony and reception were going to be entirely indoors. Most of the photographers I met with had little to no examples of indoor photography in their portfolios. Bill and I spoke a few times, and he provided me with samples of his indoor work - photos that weren't part of his regular display at bridal shows. He explained to me his process in using natural and artificial light in any photo session. I was impressed with his expertise and willingness to be so helpful with me. Then I brought my fiance to our final meeting. We both agreed that Bill was the perfect choice! We were both nervous about getting in front of the camera. Bill put us completely at ease. We spent a long day in San Francisco, with Bill getting perfect shots all over the City. On the way home from our engagement session, he let us look at the hundreds of shots he had taken. I was totally blown away! Bill is so uniquely talented and has such an artistic eye that our photos were amazing - and that was before any editing! On our wedding day, Bill, his son Tyler and his "second/third shooter" Ann were amazing! They worked so hard to perfectly capture our event. It took some convincing to get my husband to agree to do a First Look session (convincing which mainly came from him looking through Bill's albums showing the fantastic shots of other couples), and those photos are probably my favorites from all of the images of the day. We did most of our Bridal Party shots before the ceremony. Bill found so many great spots both inside and outside and gave us so many dynamic looks! He even was able to improvise when a "bicycle gang" came riding by and took pictures of the groom and groomsmen that I personally think should win some awards!! We got preview shots from our wedding just days after the event and had the rest of our over 1000 images just weeks later. The pictures are incredible. They captured so many wonderful memories. We requested a small job too. I can't believe we got so lucky in finding Bill. He was local and very communicative (even on his vacation ;). Bill Quinn is an AMAZING photographer! If I could give him 10 stars, I absolutely would. First, and most importantly, he is a genuinely good guy and was very easy to work with. He made us feel comfortable and at ease while taking literally thousands of pictures of us. He arranges an engagement shoot before the wedding which serves two purposes: 1 - to make a unique guest sign book for the wedding and 2 - to familiarize you and your fiancé to having a camera on you all day long. He works so hard to ensure that you feel happy and comfortable throughout your day, and he ALWAYS makes sure you get the shots that you want. On the actual day of our wedding, Bill was the one person who helped keep me calm and made sure I was happy - there were no meltdowns because Bill was around to handle everything. Before the ceremony he offers a chance to do "first look" photos somewhere either on-site or off-site depending on where you choose to get married. We went off-site to a bridge nearby and took lots of pictures by the river and up on the bluffs. It is a great opportunity to take with Bill because you get a variety of scenery in your photos, and you will have more time to enjoy your reception because so many pictures were taken before. Throughout the ceremony and reception, Bill took amazing photos of us, our guests, and the venue. Actually, our venue changed some of the cover photos on their website to include Bill's pictures because they are so breathtaking. After the party ended, Bill stayed with us an extra 2 and 1/2 hours to take more pictures in a night setting, which just turned out beautifully. He is so dedicated to ensuring you get what you want. He has been the wedding photographer for both me and my sister, and now my brother's fiancé liked him so much that she picked him for their upcoming wedding this Fall. One very important thing Bill gives you that most photographers don't is complete access to all your photos. After our wedding he sent us a USB drive with digital copies of every picture -at no additional cost. I found Bill at a Bridal Expo, didn't really expect too much from those Expos, but out of all the photographers, his work stood out by far. I am not even sure where to begin... We discovered Bill and his wife, Ruth, at a Bridal Expo among MANY other photographers. My (now) husband and I were overwhelmed by the number of photographers but Bill's work was so uniquely different. Not only are Bill's pictures uniquely different but so is he! Bill knows what he is doing yet he still listens to what you want and ASKS what you want. He then strives to get the shots and doesn't stop until he does.
