20/10 recommend! Nicole Cook is a spectacular photographer and and is approachable and easy to work with. She connects well with teens and is receptive to parent and teen feedback and suggestions. She did a great job capturing all the things we love about Trevor! She communicated regularly and kept an eye on the weather for us. When it forecast rain she rescheduled us with lots of time to firm up plans for the new date. Trevor had a wacky collar in some of his shots and she magically fixed this in post production as well as removed an unsightly chain link fence. We really wanted some special photos of our youngest daughter to remember her senior year. Nicole came highly recommended. I did my research and absolutely loved what I saw on her instagram page. We booked our appointment, but it rained that day. Nicole was awesome and rescheduled us within a few days. We decided to have a hair and makeup artist at the shoot as well. Her name was Whitney and she did an amazing job. We shot in multiple locations and my daughter used 4 different outfits. While we were driving from one location to another, Nicole saw a field of wildflowers in bloom on the side of the road and she quickly pulled over so we could shoot there as well. Nicole has amazing vision. A week or so after the shoot, we went to the studio to see everything. I was floored. She really captured the spirit of my daughter. I didn't really know what to expect for my daughter's senior photos, but I was amazed on how professional, sweet, encouraging and talented Nicole Cook is!! She really makes your daughter and you feel totally comfortable. Her at home studio is awesome with a viewing area with lots of sample pictures to look at and another room for changing and hair/makeup, it's decorated really cute too!! We scheduled the photo shoot right after school, plenty of time if your worried about that. Jess from Polish and Pout did her hair and makeup, which turned out gorgeous by the way!! My daughter brought like 4 different outfits to change into. Make sure you bring shoes to match too (I had to go back home to get them). Nicole lives in an area that has alot of beautiful photo spots right in her own backyard if u don't wanna travel, but if you do want to go to a specific spot or location, Nicole will go, and she also knows where all the good spots are too!! The photo shoot went great, she had senior helpers too that helped out alot. We shot close to her house and downtown also, you'd be surprised that some unlikely spots turn out beautiful in photos! I really enjoyed being there with my daughter, I just stood back and watched, Nicole had it all under control! She kept shooting till it was almost dark. It was a totally awesome, wonderful experience! We came back about a week later for a viewing. She has it all set up as a slide show on her huge tv monitor. She really takes her time and helps u select the perfect pictures along with the package you choose. She also does graduation announcements with the photos you pick out too, love those! My daughter Erin deserves all the credit with finding Nicole Cook to take her senior portraits. Erin thought she'd use the same photographer that everyone at her school used. However, when she looked at that photographer's work, she had second thoughts. That photographer just wasn't very good. Everyone's pose was the same, the pictures were over processed, etc. So Erin did some research, found Nicole Cook's social media sites and was impressed with what she saw and read. Upon meeting Nicole for the first time, it was like we knew her for years. She was so personable yet professional. Nicole really listened to what Erin wanted and also what she did NOT want. The session was all about ERIN and it shows in the pictures. Erin felt comfortable enough to be herself, communicate openly and honestly with Nicole and have fun! It was a great experience! Nicole is an amazing photographer and the epitome of professional. She is also a VERY nice and genuine person. Erin's senior portraits are beautiful! Even the manner in which they were presented to us was beautiful. I was so impressed with Nicole's attention to detail. Nicole does a GREAT job!! She took pictures of my kids, pets and I for Christmas. Then I hired her for pictures of my kids with their cousins. We do these pictures for our parents, of the grandkids every couple years. The other studies that we would go to; the kids would be trying to get us out of the place: Complaining its boring, hot, cooped up in these rooms, stuffy, and crowded in the portrait rooms and in the studios; and we would only get maybe 30 to choose from, and their expressions weren't as good as the ones, Nicole took. I am in need of at least 5 more stars here! We were fortunate enough to be referred to Nicole Cook to take our daughter's senior portraits, and let me begin by saying this was the BEST decision ever! We booked a package that included a professional makeup session and it was so worth it! My daughter's makeup was gorgeous, and set the tone for the rest of the session...all she had to do was choose a few cute outfits, do her hair (which she enjoys doing--Nicole also offers that as a professional service option) and smile. Nicole was so warm, professional, encouraging, and fun. She made my daughter feel completely at ease, and beautiful to boot. We had a fantastic time in Auburn visiting many sites within walking distance alone....I could already see at the session that we were going to have some lovely photos. Today we were able to view the pictures, and choose from many options available both in packages and a la carte. These portraits were absolutely stunning, and Nicole took such care, spending as much time as we needed in selecting what was right for us.
