They had a cancellation so instead of my 0915 appointment, they called the house at 0700 asking to…read moreget there ASAP due to the cancellation. In I walk at 0805 only to find a few people sitting there as it was...THAT didn't set well with me in the least. How much volume do they have here and how far backed up would I have been had I remained with 0915??? I wasn't too thrilled with the frump at the reception desk either. For one thing, my name isn't "Baby," "Hon" or "Doll." Verify this, sign that and initial the other form...and then it's "hurry up and wait" time. At least they had Animal Planet on the tube as I sat in the plain, threadbare lobby. Parenthetically, it's painted the most horrid color of yellow. Two toilets, one small magazine rack and 3 rows of prison-industry seating. Blech! So after a 62 minute wait, I FINALLY get hauled back to the Land of No Return. Originally a 0915 appointment had me going back at around 0905. BTW: I was finished and out the door by 1120. Well once I got back there: totally different and MUCH better story. There was a long line of beds separated by curtains, much as one would find at an ER. Between the lot of the staff back there, I was well cared for and made to feel comfortable. All of 'em from Sandi (RN) to Dave (nurse anesthesiologist) plus others before during and after were professional and caring. They went over my med history more than once to be thorough and make sure nothing was anomalous. So I woke up and it was almost as tho nothing happened (yay, pentathol!) during the hour and change that I was back there. They also took care to make sure I was okay before letting me get dressed and moving along for the day. I was escorted out by one of the staff and I'm told I gotta repeat the process in three years. Well, I'm in no hurry for the time to pass to this business again. However, were one to ask and if given the choice, I'd certainly have no problem using (or reusing, at least) this facility at all. Wee!

My grandmother had a procedure scheduled this morning, very early. It was still dark and the…read moresurgery center isn't very visible at that time of day. So after making a few u-turns, we finally arrived. She was one of the first patients and was taken back almost immediately after checking in. This center doesn't allow family/friends to come back with you before your procedure. I know this bothered my grandmother, and I heard others complain about it as well. However, there are no private rooms. Everyone is brought into what looks like a small version of a hospital surgical recovery room, taken to surgery from that room, and then are brought back to that very spot for recovery, consult, and release. Really, that would be my only complaint about the whole experience. I was called back once my grandmother had woke. While we waited for the doctor to finish a procedure he'd begun on another patient, I could hear everything other doctors and nurses were telling every patient in the room. I'm pretty surprised this isn't considered some sort of privacy violation. Otherwise, all the nurses and staff that were involved with my grandmothers care were fantastic. Everyone was extremely caring, friendly, and even hospitable. I was even brought coffee and asked a few times if I wanted anything more to drink or a snack while we waited. My grandmother has been to this location a few times with my grandfather and says they are always very nice and several of the nurses have been there a long time.

My endoscopy is covered 100% and I get them often due to a medical condition. I know the drill. The outpatient center always makes me pay before the procedure and I argue with them every time. Occasionally I get a bill from the anesthesiologist. They usually get taken care of by my insurance without my involvement- until this year. This company claimed it was not covered and was threatening to send my bill to collections. My insurance was also being a pain and not paying it. In order to avoid going to collections, I paid the bill. My insurance then paid it the same week when I finally got a competent person on the phone who saw it was covered and followed through. Now, when I paid the bill the anesthesia associates told me a refund would be automatically generated. Nope. That did not happen. Paid in August 2022. Sept 23, 2022, I called and inquired about a refund. They began the process. Arnold tells me 30-60 days. To call back in about 45 days for a status update and provides his employee number. October 31, 2022- speak to Divine. She tells me refunds take 60-90 days (now we are adding days!). I request a supervisor. She says one will callback in 24-48 hours. November 29, 2022- speak with May. Puts me on a list for a supervisor to call me back. Promises one will call me back by 8pm. Refuses to provide employee number. Says 60-90 days for refund (we are on day 67). November 30, 2022- speak with Rain. Says I'm on a list for a supervisor for 24-48 hour callback. I explain I'm still waiting for the one to call me back since October 31 and yesterday! Cannot verify if a refund policy exists with company when I ask for one to be emailed to me (to verify # of days). I'm still waiting and full expect to not get my $750 back after 90 days. Not one thing I have been told by anyone on the phone with this company has been truthful. Very terrible business. I'll update once this concludes.

This year I turned 40 years old and it seemed like 6 months after my hormones said welcome to middle age life and threw out my youth. I started to gain weight rapidly and oddly heavy in different places. My hair was brittle to lifeless. I felt tired and my bones ached at my core!!!! I knew something was off. I had gone to my primary Dr and drawn up the typical thyroid hormone panel and nothing. I was eating healthy, hitting my 10k steps, portion-weighing out, hitting protien macros - I was doing all the things!!! I moved to Fl in June so my network is very small but my best friend told me about Dr.Green. I knew if my picky friend liked her, that this was the call. I instantly loved Anna!!! She was super warm and honest. I love her!! She is the glue to this place! I met Dr Peggy first - I booked for weightloss and hormone- for myself and mom. Dr Peggy is SUCH AN EXCEPTIONAL person! She is knowledgeable and blunt. And her vivacious spirit. I didn't want a Dr to tell me what I needed my feelings to hear... I wanted my gut to shrink (literally) I was tired of being fat exhausted looking like I was 60 instead of 40. They both explained things VERY direct and thoroughly. They didn't dumb it down but they helped me understand where I was falling short and where I needed to help my body. In 8 days I lost 12 lbs. AND FINALLY my hormone panel came back and the numbers were low- finally a Dr to listen to me!! Dr Green literally said "yes girl, we need to get you optimal." How many times had your dr said ohhh your too young for hormones, or you just need to exercise, You just need to not stress bc that's causing your weight gain. Lay off the margaritas. No! When your gut is telling you something, it's telling you the truth!!!! I wish I could tell you I lost 100 lbs lol BUT my initial loss was SOOO amazing bc I was trying so hard and it WASNT BUDGING- and once starting there protocols then needle started to move. My body responded and that's a huge success in itself when your trying to lose weight and balance your hormones. There are a ton of Med Spas and Clinics, you can watch a million influencers on social media, you can try every diet -they will work for short term. customizing a healthy lifestyle to your DNA full blood panel and hormone panel is where YOU WILL get sustainable results. And professional educated clinicians and beauty experts to help guide you along your own PERSONAL journey.

My first visit was in September with Dr. Cooper and extremely successful from security through admitting through transport to pre op to PACU to post op just as this surgery most recently in November. When entering the hospital, you can feel the sense that all staff are fully knowledgeable of the COVID guidelines and abide by them. This makes the patient feel comfortable with the cleanliness surrounded by them. All staff that I have interacted with during my surgeries have been professional, attentive, skilled. Since I have already posted about the first surgery I will comment on my most recent surgery. The staff beginning with the greeters to admitting all wonderful. Fe and Lisa got me on my way in preop to the anesthesiologist who was comforting due to his laid back personality. The PACU gang were also awesome Ginny C, GG, Marcella. Thank you so much for putting up with me. Erin and Jason getting me on my way to walking. Jessica was welcoming. I must give a huge thank you to Patricia and Carolos on the night shift. They were so helpful and understanding as the anesthesia worked double time of me. I have no words to express my appreciation of getting me through the night. I don't think I was this nicest patient in the middle of the night. Jessica C discharged me in a professional manner due to me probably not being the nicest patient when she did report from the nights shift. Kudos to all and MPH is fortunate to have each and everyone of you.
