I could not have asked for a better place to find my wedding dress! I first came across this location by searching for boutiques that carry my favorite designer - Hayley Paige. Upon finding Jennifer's Bridals Instagram page, I knew this place was going to be the best. I sent them a message asking about several different dresses I wanted to try on - and they were ALL at the shop I quickly made an appointment at this shop, which was a short hour and 15 minute drive from Lancaster. At my appointment (this was pre-COVID), I felt like a princess the entire time. I truly felt like every employee there catered to my specific wants and needs, and didn't make me feel rushed or like I was a burden. Everyone was so happy and willing to help. I also loved that they had a seamstress in-store that I was able to use for my alterations. It definitely helped make me feel more comfortable about the quality of the alterations i was receiving, and my dress could not have turned out more perfectly. Loved this store! I am not the bride, but I have gone to many different bridal boutiques with my sister at this point. Our experience here was so different than the majority of the other places. It was calm. It was relaxing. They weren't pushy or rude. They seemed very organized and interested in helping her find the perfect dress for her. The staff was constantly willing to clip the dress from the front, from the back, and even from the side. They added veils and really made the experience special. The store itself is really nice. Spacious and well lit. I don't know that it has a TON of dresses but the overall atmosphere and staff are what we loved most and greatly appreciated. Upstairs is all the bridal gowns and downstairs is short reception dresses, long reception dresses, Jumpsuits, bridesmaid dresses etc. They have lots of veil options and accessory options as well. read more

This was the most spacious and beautiful of all of the boutiques we went to. It was the first we went to and I was open to any silhouette at that time so I tried on over 20 dresses. The person helping me was just there. She wasn't unkind but she also wasn't very excited. She was patient with me trying on a million dresses but she didn't really get into the process or offer a ton of feedback. She answered questions when I asked but she didn't offer anything unless I asked. She just didn't make it much of a fun, interactive experience. I liked that you could go through and look at the dresses and touch them and select the ones you wanted to try. We went during a slow time so we had the place (and the mirror) all to ourselves which was nice. We returned much later because I wanted to see the new season of dresses. When I set up the appointment I asked when the new season was due to come in and I made my appointment accordingly. This place isn't close to me. It's about an hour drive. We drove an hour to the appointment and upon our arrival were told that they didn't really have any new dresses. I was pretty frustrated because that was the whole point of us returning at this time. We ultimately didn't say yes to the dress here. They had some nice dresses but none of them were really wowing me, personally. It is a beautiful boutique and they have some nice things in their inventory. I would recommend giving them a try for yourself since all brides are different and every season of wedding gowns is different. It's worth giving them a shot! read more

I had the best experience at Jennifer's Bridal! I had tried on dresses once before at a different boutique but the staff at Jennifer's blew that previous experience out of the water. I had the pleasure of working with Amy, she was amazing from the get go. She understood my vision for my dress but also showed me different options and entertained the picks from my "entourage". One of the main reasons I had wanted to go to Jennifer's (it is a 2 hour drive) is because of the options and designers they had. I had a particular dress in mind that I had tried on previously that I was sure I had fallen in love with. When I had gotten there, I was slightly disappointed that they didn't have the dress but Amy did a great job of pulling very similar dresses. I ended up going with one of the gowns that we were just trying as a comparison, but didn't want to take it off. Amy had explained that we could add some additional details to the gown which sold me. We found the perfect veil to match and now I can't stop looking through all the pictures and I can't wait for my fiancé to see me on our big day. Overall I would recommend Jennifer's to anyone and everyone, the selection is amazing and the customer service is top notch! read more

We absolutely loved our experience at Jennifer's Bridal. They have a beautiful selection of gowns in different styles and sizes. My consultant, Lauren, was awesome and totally went with the flow. They also offer bridesmaids and mother of the bride gowns in the lower level. Beautiful, clean store, wonderful consultant and plenty of variety. Only deducting one star because there was another group in during my consultation that brought literally sandwich trays, chips, etc and I had to walk through them in a giant ballgown each time. After trying numerous other salons (high rated, trendy one) I made an appointment in Hockeissen and described what my preferences were through their wonderful online program. I traveled from the DC area, Jennifer's reputation was solid, and made it more than worth it!! It was such a different, fun experience. First, the design of the interior is welcoming, open and stunning. The energy was about helping me--it felt like dealing with old friends who have nothing but my best interests in mind!! The knowledge and experience were phenomenal--Jennifer picked up on my style and taste in moments. I was shown wedding dresses that fit my preferences, across a span of price ranges, which really impressed me. I was not shown only the highest-end gowns--it was about finding the *right* dress for my day!! I would adamantly recommend Jennifer's to any bride--travel to Delaware if you need to-you will not regret it! From the start I had such a wonderful experience. The store is bright and feels exactly what you'd expect for a high end bridal gown experience. Amy did my initial visit and I lucked out because I was the only bride in the shop at the time. It is common to have 2 brides at a time which, would have been totally fine with me but if you'd like it solo maybe ask if that can be accommodated. She was very respectful of my price point and pulled dresses that really flattered my shape. I didn't feel rushed at all. Now I fit in most sample sizes, so I do think that helped my overall experience. I ended up falling in love with a Michael Christopher gown and bought in January so I ended up getting a discount because it was their anniversary special! I was also excited to learn that you can rent the beautiful stoles and covers that they have. I'm so glad I did because it really added to the day of pictures! Susan did my alterations and she was a rockstar. My dress was very form fitted and satin so any little imperfection looked glaring. But she made it look like perfection. I got so many complements on the fit. Also, side note, she let me in on some amazing advice that saved the day... BRING A MAGIC ERASER!! After we did pictures I had some dirt on the dress and it cleaned everything up before the ceremony!! I am forever in her debt for that little nugget alone. My sister told me about Jennifer's and said that her friend got her dress there and LOVED it. I had to check the place out. I had been to about 5 other bridal shops and tried on about 25-30 dresses by the time I got to Jennifer's. Jennifer was wonderful and very helpful (and not pushy!). There is a large selection of beautiful gowns to pick from. There also seemed to be a variety of styles. I personally liked the more simple dresses, but noticed quite a few dresses with lots of details. I was able to pick out some dresses that I liked when I got there, and ended up finding my perfect gown for a great price. If you can go at a time when they are having a sample sale, the prices are VERY reduced. However, the prices are not bad without a sale. There are great accessories as well- I ended up purchasing a veil, earrings, and bracelet there on the same day as my gown. There is a seamstress in store who does all of the fittings/ alterations/etc. and she even gave me an estimate on how much my alterations would cost while I was there. I grew up in Hockessin, so it was a no brainer that I would make a stop here while wedding dress shopping. One of my girlfriends had found her dress here the week before, so I was doubly excited. Well, my experience certainly wasn't so nice as her. Maybe it was because my appointment was later in the day? We had a 3:30 appointment and arrived a few minutes early. When someone finally came out to see us, they said it would be just a moment while they finished up with another customer. Now, I get that you are going to finish with your prior customer, but then at least give us a time frame as we were left waiting there for another 30 minutes. When we were finally brought back, my consultant just said go look around while I clear out the room. Since we had already been waiting 30 minutes, I am not sure why she didn't just keep us waiting an extra 5 so she could clear out the room. Instead we just wandered the store looking to see if there was anything we liked. We selected a few dresses and the consultant was finally ready. I showed her a list of things I was interested in based on the designers the store carried. They didn't have a lot of what I was looking for. She then pulled dresses, but did not base her selections on what I was looking for at all. In fact, she barely talked to me at all about what I was looking for. She just pulled dresses that were my size. That is all. It was really disappointing. The set up here is also strange. You have to parade from the fitting room to one of two pedestals in the room to see any of the dresses. This includes squeezing by other brides and their families. All in all, I was really underwhelmed and disappointed by their selection, organization, and customer service. read more

If I could rate Jennifer's with a million stars, I would. After having a bad bridal experience at Nordstrom, I was nervous to try on dresses again. I was in the search of a particular style, and I emailed Jennifer's to see if they had the dress in stock. They did, and she said I could come the following Sunday to try it on. When my mom, Maid of Honor and I arrived, we were greeted by Sarah. She showed us all of the designers they carried and asked about a budget - We were able to ask questions about style and pricing, and you could tell she was very knowledgeable about the gowns they had. I was able to pick as many dresses as I wanted to try on...Their entire selection is fabulous. When I tried on gowns, Sarah would hang around for a bit, then would leave the room to give my mom, MOH and I some privacy/time to discuss. When I did find *THE* dress, Sarah picked the most perfect veil to go with the dress. She truly was the perfect balance of being helpful without being pushy - it felt like she was a friend! It was the best day! I never felt pressured, uncomfortable, or rushed. I ended up buying my dream dress... HIGHLY recommend! read more

Amy did a lovely job in helping my daughter find and try on dresses. The dressing room was spacious with great space to show off the dresses to the bride's fan club. While we did have to wait about 20-30 minutes to get started with our appointment, I did appreciate that when my appointment came, they did not rush to finish my appointment right on time - they gave me their full time and attention. I ended up purchasing the first dress I tried on at Jennifer's, but Amy did a great job pulling a number of different dresses I also liked for comparison! Everything was under the price range and budget that we discussed, and Amy was more than happy to show me veils and accessories that went well with my dress. Overall, despite a late start this was a GREAT experience and I highly recommend Jennifer's and Amy to any bride starting her dress shopping experience. ALSO! I am considered plus size in bridal gowns, and everything Amy pulled was in my size or a size larger so I could try them on and get a sense of how they would look in my size. I want to be able to leave a better review than I can. My consultant, Sarah, was a joy to work with. She was very positive and encouraging. She asked lots of great questions to help me narrow down what I liked and didn't like about the dresses I tried on, which really helped me in this and other appointments. The two stars is in no way a reflection on her. Jennifer's has a lot of very interesting and different styles, which is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want the same strapless A-line dress you've seen on a hundred brides for the last 10 years. I wanted something unique, and Jennifer's delivers. I was quite pleasantly surprised by the variety available in this small shop. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to commit to a dress at Jennifer's because they do not carry dresses that in any way approximate my dress size. I am an average-sized person. I am not a 2 and I am not a 20, I'm just average. Bridal sizes run very small, and so the sample sizes are very small. I found two dresses that I absolutely adored, but they were several sizes too small and it was hard to envision how they would actually look on me if they fit correctly. I visited two other stores that day that DID carry dresses in my size. When I have a choice between dresses that actually fit and dresses that make me look like a stuffed sausage, the choice is clear. I'm not going to spend thousands of dollars on a dress I can't even try on. Especially when the competition caters to average-sized women. I ended up getting a dress very similar to one I tried on at Jennifer's at another local store that carried dresses in my size. read more

Would recommend calling in your own dress size because they do not know how to measure properly. Ordered me a size 6 after claiming I was between an 8-6 . I go along with the recommendation even though I wear a four in all dresses including other bridesmaids dresses I've worn . I'm 5'6" 115lbs and generally wear anything from a 2-4/ small. I pick up the dress today and it's huge , at least 2 inches around the bust and waist need to be removed. I told the girl and she said this was a common thing and it's an easy fix . Well I take it to a seamstress and she needs to redo the entire top of the dress . It's costing 140 to fix it and the cups that came in the dress are so low it looks like your boobs are hanging mid waist so they need to be removed and have new ones put in! And the dress was 275. I called and told them what the seamstress is going to have to do to make it right and I was told they measured correctly and I signed a contact. I am so so upset. I can't stress enough the lack of customer service, no apology, no offer to refund any partial payment or to try and get me a dress that would fit . I'm so disappointed, I was really excited to try on my dress for my sisters wedding and it turned into a horrible experience. read more

Jennifer was absolutely rude. She pretty much sized up my friend who was trying on dresses and telling her she wouldn't fit in them and they didn't look good on her. Yet she went to other girls and said they looked like barbies in them. Utterly disgusted and telling everyone I know not to go here. They lost a valuable customer not that they cared anyways. Poor experience from start to "finish". My mom and my bridesmaids all came with me to do some dress shopping and the entire time I was trying on dresses the girl who was 'helping' me was too busy helping another women there, who already had a helper. I felt very frustrated because it was my second time dress shopping and I felt very unimportant. I feel like every bride should feel important and have a great experience. I ended up finding the perfect dress there but I unfortunately when I tried to go somewhere else they couldn't order the dress I wanted. I loved it so much I ended up just buying it from Jennifer's. I did have one very nice women who helped me one out of the 6 times I went there but all of the other times were just so unsatisfying. They never offered champagne to me or the girls when we were there or purchasing the dress. The last 4 times I was there they never acknowledged us when we walked in for our appointments . The most recent time I was there when I picked my dress up and when I was leaving the girl asked if my veil was in there...it was not, it wasn't even steamed or ready to go. I received an email 3wks prior that my veil was in and will be ready with my dress on final pick up. I have a 40min drive to Jennifer's so it's not like I'm around the corner. As my MOH and I were leaving on that last day we heard them opening up champagne and offering out to the girl upstairs....it made me think back to how my experience there was completely different and I would NEVER recommend anyone to go there. No bride should have an experience like that especially when you're spending that kind of money. read more

This was a really beautiful bridal salon but after visiting others I believe they need some work. I traveled from Philadelphia because I wanted to attend a specific designer's trunk show. Of course I fell in love with a brand new gown, fresh of the runway which they only had in a runway size (maybe 0, 2, or 4 not exactly sure). A lot of the other dresses even in regular sample sizes I had to squeeze myself into and needed extra fabric to cover the back of the dress. I am a street size 14-16 so definitely plus in bridal terms but I have never been made to feel as large as I did in Jennifer's. I was told even if I came back to the salon when the sample dress was received I would not be able to try it on. They put me into a similarly shaped dress and told me this is what it would look like, we can order it in your size. I was appreciative of this and figured because of my size this just must be the way I will have to find my dress. Until I went to another salon a few weeks later where I tried on 10+ dresses, had an amazing experience and found my dream dress. I'm sorry but unless Jennifer's changes with the times and realizes there are way more shapes and sizes of brides out there, I don't see how they can appeal to the masses. read more

Jennifer's Bridal I visited dozens of bridal boutiques in DE, PA, NJ and NY looking for the perfect wedding dress. The wedding dresses at Jennifer's are beautiful and unlike those at any other bridal boutique in the area. And Jennifer and her staff (especially Sarah)offered the best customer service by far. They were extremely welcoming and helpful. For instance, Jennifer ordered dresses I found online (that she did not carry in the store) for me to try on. I ultimately decided to purchase another dress, and Jennifer was patient and understanding throughout the whole process. And when I placed a last minute order for a sash, Jennifer made sure I had it in time for my wedding (it even arrived early). Jennifer seems to really care about her customers and helping to make their wedding day perfect. I also need to mention the seamstress Jennifer's recommends, Karen. Karen is fantastic! Her work is impeccable - she even fixed my second reception dress that another seamstress botched. She was a pleasure to work with and scheduled multiple fittings to make sure my dress fit perfectly. How disappointing! The staffers at Jennifer's Bridal were not ready for us when we arrived for our appointment, barely acknowledged our arrival, and offered only two chairs for the 6 people in the waiting area. The staff seemed disorganized and unprofessional in attire and manner. The selection was very limited. The dresses were not organized in any apparent way, and the clients were told they needed to be more "involved" in selecting dresses for the bride to try on. The dresses, which were crowded on the racks and not covered, kept catching on each other. The quality of the dresses were not very good. The staff offered very little in way of help and didn't seem well-versed in their own stock. Two brides had to share the same space and had to constantly squeeze past each other. I was shockingly disappointed in the quality of the merchandise and the staff at Jennifer's Bridal. Contrast this to the experience we had earlier that day at another shop, where we were greeted on time, warmly introduced, and led to a private room for our party. We were presented with a huge binder and sticky tabs, we were asked about our price point, and we had two very knowledgeable and helpful people to assist in dress selection and recommendations. read more

If I could rate Jennifer's a zero, I would. I've never felt more disrespected. I had the "pleasure" of working with the OWNER of the establishment, Jennifer herself. During my appointment, there were two women hovering around my dressing room who were not with me and did not have an appointment. They were pointing at the dresses I was trying on and asking if they could try them on too. Instead of asking the women to look somewhere else until she was finished with my appointment, Jennifer helped them and assisted them during MY appointment that I had scheduled. She sent me out of my dressing room to see my mom and maid of honor alone while she went into the adjacent dressing room to assist two women during my appointment. It was a total disregard of my time. I am the first of my 10 best friends to get married, and I can guarantee I will NEVER recommend this place to any of them or anyone else. Please don't waste your time. It's a joke. No need for an appointment, you can just jump in on someone else's. Thanks for showing me what I don't want in a dress shopping experience. The staff at Jennifer's bridal is fantastic! They only schedule 2 brides per appointment (1 hour long) so you really get the full attention of your consultant. I was able to try on over 10 dresses in one hour. I know brides who have only tried on 3 or 4 in an hour at David's because the consultants have so many brides to work with. The salon itself is adorable with the perfect amount of space for 2 brides and their friends/family. I highly recommend going to Jennifer's over a chain store such as David's. You get a much more personalized consultation and the dresses are of high quality but you can still find great dresses in almost any budget. I checked out other bridal salons and wound up not even trying on dresses due to feeling rushed and the general feeling of chaos. Jennifer's was so different. Granted, it is such a small place, when the next appointment comes in, it is just obvious that you need to finish up, but I never felt rushed. If you are looking for a discount dress, this is not the place for you, although you can sometimes get a good deal buying off the rack, and they have sales during certain times of the year. They did not try to talk me into a particular dress and just let me run around the store trying on everything. went to Jennifer's bridal last minute for my dress because the originally one I purchased from another store I was not in love with. So someone had recommended me to come here because they have great wedding gowns. I went in the shop on a Sunday just to browse not thinking I would find a dress that day. Little do I know I found a Hayley Paige dress in the window that I could not stop staring at. I asked if there was anyway I could try just this one dress on the one lady told me no with a mean attitude and said that I needed an appointment and there was none today and walked away from me. Rude was my first thought But I couldn't leave without trying this dress on so I spoke to Beca who was a huge help to me and was able to squeeze me in later that Sunday before closing she was a huge life saver. Well I left feeling like a million bucks but than recently received an e-mail my dress was in. I called to see if I could set an appointment up for a fitting and seamstress and was told I would receive a call back because everyone was busy. Days go by and I finally received a call stating I could come in on a Monday. Well considering I work 3 hours away there was no way I could make a Monday so I Kindly called back and asked for another date and was told they would speak with Jennifer the owner and get back to me. Whelp I have have had to called 4 times with no resolution or response from the owner, so I called to just pick the dress up to have someone else fit me and alter the dress. When I called an apology was given and stated they are really busy at this season. It's great they are busy but maybe more employees are needed during this time of season??! REALLY? Exactly who is it that you think you are, Jennifer's Bridal? Wow, I was greeted with "Do you have an appointment" as the first impression, while being eyed up and down because I was in my workout clothes heading to see my personal trainer after my visit. Guess since I didn't drive over in my Lexus wearing my best Chanel, I was chump change. "No, I dint have an appointment, I was told to meet Jennifer here at 12 to try on dresses for a charity event. Is she here?" Response, "Well, you need to give her at least a half an hour because she is always late. Come back then." So I did. Doors locked up tight, no one there.
