Not Plus Size Friendly. My daughter and I went in to shop for prom dresses. She is not a size 0 - 8, and we were ignored. I asked if they had size 16's when we arrived, the lady said a few, I'd have to hunt. There were several girls there ahead of us trying on dresses, the staff was engaging with them, bringing more dresses, placing them in front of tri-mirrors and handing out compliments. When it was my daughters turn, they placed her in a dressing room and never said a word. My heart broke for her. read more

I got married in November 2018 and had all my bridesmaid dresses, mother of the bride dress, groomsmen, dads, and grooms tux ordered from their shop. The fitting was seamless and quick. My matron and I stopped by to try on some of the dresses for the bridesmaids and they apologized for how busy they were but still made space for us to try on her dress! Terri and Sue were so accommodating through the whole trying on, asking questions, and buying process. I could not ask for a better experience. My wedding day was the crazy blizzard on November 15th, 2018, and we did not get a lot of photos taken, we recently were offered to go back for more and needed the tux again. Terri was so helpful and kind helping us get the Tux ordered and available in time for our shoot in a couple weeks. She offers a $99 rental package which is a lot cheaper than other stores, and the suit was of great quality. I went back for my sons' suits for a wedding and was able to purchase very nice quality suits for under $200. Honesty is important in this business when dressing people for important events. The only redeeming quality of Eagle Formal is that Terri will typically give you a 20% discount on just about any dress and 50% off any dress that is currently in the store that is bought off the rack. Besides that, I can't say anything good about this place. Terri is typically miserable, there is zero customer service, and the store is a mess. It certainly takes a big effort to look through the dresses here because they are crammed on top of each other on extremely disorganized racks. We were told we needed to make an appointment, however upon arriving we were not given access to a fitting room for over thirty minutes due to high school girls running all over the store. With that being said, there are only two small fitting rooms in the entire place. My girls wound up trying on the dresses in the middle of the store because it was taking too long to even get in a fitting room. My bridesmaids were told to call in and pay the remaining balance on their dresses after they were delivered. Their system is so disorganized that when I went to pick up the dresses she was missing her records that one of my girls had paid and argued with me about it. Frankly, I don't take kindly to business owners who yell at their customers in front of other customers. Thankfully my friend kept excellent track of her receipts and statements. But still, no apology from Terri. I went back with another person who bought a dress there for my wedding, and she wouldn't even make eye contact with me. Ridiculous. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for dresses, although the discount is nice. As a bride, I would NEVER recommend shopping here for your bridal gown. You deserve special attention and a phenomenal experience. This place just certainly does not offer an ounce of that. read more

They made me buy a dress that was literally 10 sizes too big because I was to be giving birth 6 weeks before the wedding I was scheduled to be in. They stated the dress ran EXTREMELY small, and that since I was going to be having a baby, it was best to go up a few sizes. The dress was huge, even at 9 months pregnant, and it sure was HUMONGOUS following birth. I had to get it altered completely and the seamstress basically had to remake the entire dress. I got my mother of the bride dress from eagle formal wear. I wasn't even looking. I loved it! It was reasonably priced and I used their contracted seamstress who was excellent! My daughter the bride also got all the groomsmen tuxes here. My sons needed some adjustments and they had him come in at his convenience and fixed him up asap! Very mom and pop feeling. This bridal store has awful costumer service. I purchased 5 bridesmaid dress from this shop, 1 being for a girl out of state. While they offered to ship the dress they charged almost $100 the get it there. It showed up in a stuffed inside a box that was 5 times to small and balled up in a wrinkled mess. When I called to speak to the shop all I got was excuse on how it was not their fault and said they best they would do is give a $10 refund! I will never work with this shop again. read more

I would rate the quality of the service a complete zero....I had my heart set on this particular dress I saw in a wedding magazine and was able to locate at Eagle Formal. I went to try on the dress and absolutely loved it, but needed a smaller size. After several months I was told the dress had arrived. I went to pick-up the dress, but I presume it was the size 14 she gave me off the rack....I am a size 4. With little time left to find the dress elsewhere I apprehensively accepted the dress with hopes I could have it altered to fit me properly, which will end up costing more than the dress did. Made multiple attempts to reach her, leaving multiple voicemails and have yet to hear a response from her. read more

What amazing women at Eagle Formal Wear. My mom purchased a dress at another store for my sister's wedding and the seamstress there horribly messed it up and it could not be fixed. She needed a new dress and I called Eagle Formal Wear the Friday afternoon the day before the wedding. They told us to come in and they would help us find a dress. They helped us find her a dress, altered it and got it to us at 10:30 in the morning the next day!! Just in time for the wedding!! I highly recommend them. They were amazing and helped to make my sister's wedding perfect!!! If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!! read more

I have had an AMAZING experience working with Eagle Formal Wear and Terri. Back in high school, I got formal dresses there. When I got married, I was able to not only get the tuxes and bridesmaids dresses through them, but I even found my wedding dress! It was gorgeous and extremely affordable. Terri knows what to stock so there are popular trends but also has a good eye for styles that will be well liked. She works within budgets and offers to help in any way she can. She provided names of affordable seamstresses, one of which we still use 10 years later. She is knowledgeable without being pushy and is wonderful to work with. We took my future sister in law there today right after an hour long appointment at a fancy boutique in Paoli and she was able to find her perfect dress in 20 minutes. I will continue to go back to EF as often as I need to and recommend it to everyone I can. read more

What a mess. I was looking for shops in the area that carried a specific designer of Bridesmaid dresses. When I saw that this shop carried them, I called to confirm that they in fact sold that brand and to see if they had any of the styles in stock that I was specifically interested in. They confirmed that they carried the designer, but told me that I would just need to come in to see if they had the styles I wanted. Okay....several other shops had been able to confirm with me so there wouldn't be a wasted trip but since they were very close to me I figured I would give it a try. They also insisted that I needed an appointment. However, when I showed up there was literally no one else there. As soon as I walked in I understood why they couldn't tell me if they had the styles I was interested in. Not only do they have WAY too much inventory for the size of the store, but it is very poorly organized. Prom gowns, bridesmaid dresses, prom tux rentals, and even a handful of wedding dresses not particularly well organized on rolling racks placed around the store. The bridesmaid dresses weren't sorted by brand or anything in particular. Even though there was no other customers there I was left by myself to sort through the crowded racks to hopefully find my designer and styles. I managed to find an armful of what I was potentially looking for and then the associate "helping" me told me that we probably wouldn't be able to try that many dresses on since there have been so many customers coming in for prom. What is the point of making an appointment than? After that they even asked me to start giving them my bridesmaids names and information. Really?? After you just told me I potentially can't even try on the dresses I am interested in? I told them flat out that I didn't know if I would even be buying the dresses from them so I wouldn't be giving them that info. After that, some prom customers started filtering in(seemingly without appointments)and the available fitting rooms were given to them first even though I had arrived first WITH an appointment. So my bridesmaid and I were sent downstairs to a spare fitting room where we quickly tried on a few styles and then wasted no more time heading to the next store. I guess unless you are shopping for prom here, though I wouldn't even recommend that, you should save your time and skip Eagle Formal Wear. read more

Terrible! Save yourself the trip. I was shopping for a Mother of Bride dress and my daughter was going to purchase 7 bridesmaids dresses there. The woman was rude, not helpful, and would not let me use the dressing room because she had many girls looking for prom dresses. I left and so did another woman looking for a Mother of the groom dress. The place is too small, understaffed and dresses are smooshed together, too many on a rack. Horrible! read more

Recently (within past 3 weeks) we purchased a flower girl dress for my grand daughter for a wedding in July. The dress was bought off the rack and no alterations were Made! Unfortunately we found out the wedding is not taking place! When we tried to return the dress, we were told all sales are final, despite our reason and the fact it was not a special order. There was nothing printed on our receipt regarding the sale being final, except that it was paid in full. I am completely disgusted with the store and response of the employee I spoke to. I would not recommend them, and be certain to ask about returns before you purchase anything. read more

I went in to buy 3 dresses for my daughters- 2 flower girl and 1 junior bridesmaid dress. I was told that my middle daughter couldn't fit into a flower girl dress because she was too tall (she is 9). When the dresses came in, none of them fit right and there was a stain on the flower girl dress (which they did get out). My oldest ended up having to wear my middle daughter's and my middle daughter ended up wearing my youngest's (the flower girl dress that they said wouldn't fit her-which by the way, came with a tag that says can be ordered with 5 extra inches in length- however the owner insisted that the tag was not right). They returned my oldest's and exchanged it for a new flower girl dress for my youngest. It was made clear to me that they had to pay $40 to rush ship this to make it right. When that came in, it was missing the extra layer of crinoline to puff the dress out. I was told it was because of the flower girl "style" I ordered, but ALL the flower girl dresses on Bill Levkoff's site look exactly the same on the bottom/ skirt. When I asked if they would reach out to Bill Levkoff, I was told they wouldn't because I ordered two different styles. I asked if I could reach out to Bill Levkoff and they said to go through the website (they don't have a number on their website for customers bc all transactions are supposed to go through vendors). The whole transaction was stressful and I always felt that I was bothering them. My girls also didn't get to wear the dresses they picked out because they had to wear their sister's in order to get them to fit right. We now have a wedding this Saturday and my two girls will be walking down the aisle together, one with a full skirt and one that isn't. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

When shopping for my first daughter's wedding gown 3 years ago, the proprietor of the store needed a smoke more than she needed a sale, because she stepped out into the parking lot to light up while we fended for ourselves. We decided to risk a second try, only because the woman claimed to have the dress my second daughter was hunting for.
