We are giving 2 stars because this was a very important part of our wedding day, and those photos never happened. We had clearly communicated ahead of time that we wanted photos at UT Austin since it's where my wife and I met. We provided detailed parking information, and she mentioned that she had previously taken photos at the university, so we did not anticipate any issues. Unfortunately, she did not arrive at the university in time, and those photos never happened. It was especially disappointing because we even saw another bride and groom meeting their photographer who arrived as planned. Those pictures were meaningful to us, and there was no way to recreate that moment with everyone. It also put a damper on the day because the rest of our wedding party arrived on time and were ready for photos. It was awkward having everyone gathered and waiting without a photographer there, especially after we had planned so carefully around that location.She did offer to stay an extra hour for the after-party and to schedule another session on a different day. We appreciate her effort to make it right; however, after-party coverage wasn't something we had planned or prioritized, and it didn't replace the significance of the UT Austin photos. Rescheduling would have required another trip and redoing hair and makeup, and we were leaving immediately afterward for our honeymoon, making it unrealistic. Overall, while the final images were solid, missing such an important and clearly communicated location was very disappointing and took away from what should have been a seamless part of our wedding day.

If you're like me, though, you're worried that she's amazing because all her clients seem to be photogenic/charismatic actors, models, celebrities, etc. Well, don't worry. After our session with her, we ended up with SO many great photos and I am none of those things. Kim was such a perfectionist! I think what really sets Kim apart is that she understands how to put people at ease and make them feel good about themselves. I've been told by photographers that I'm difficult to photograph. I'm twitchy when I'm nervous! I freeze up in awkward poses whenever there's a camera around, no matter how many articles I read and (implement in front of the mirror) about how to look good in photos. I have a funny smile - there I said it :) Well I guess all I needed to fix this problem was Kim Mufferi! Not only is she amazing at her work, she also has the customer service piece that is often missing in small businesses. He was always so quick to respond. When the wedding finally arrived, he put us and our families at ease. The groom and both fathers are pretty vocal in their dislike of photos, but Jeff managed to win even them over - he was professional but fun, and the suggestions that got us all laughing led to some of the best photos during the family portraits. We did a two-hour session earlier in the week before the wedding with just the bride and groom, to save time during the packed wedding day, and this ended up being a great call. Not only did we get some incredibly striking photos in a different setting than what was available during the wedding itself (like in front of a jaw-dropping sunset), we also had the opportunity to get comfortable with Jeff and his shooting style. We had forgotten to tell him we were bringing our dogs to the venue for some pre-ceremony photos (oops...) but they were so relaxed about working it in. Even with our crazy dogs and chaotic families, Jeff & his wife were calm and good-humored throughout the whole event. They were familiar with our venue, so they had some really great suggested photo spots, but they were also totally happy to incorporate all of our requests too. As for the photos, WOW. Seriously stunning. We have hundreds and hundreds of absolutely gorgeous photos, and you can find a photo for every single guest. It took about 4 weeks to get them all back, and we got some sneak peek photos about 1.5 weeks after the wedding. It was all completely worth the wait, we are so so so happy and grateful to have had Jeff for our wedding. It was everything we hoped for and more.
