While the final photos turned out solid, our photographer completely missed taking our scheduled wedding photos at UT Austin -- a location we had clearly emphasized was deeply meaningful to us. We are giving 2 stars because this was a very important part of our wedding day, and those photos never happened. We had clearly communicated ahead of time that we wanted photos at UT Austin since it's where my wife and I met. We provided detailed parking information, and she mentioned that she had previously taken photos at the university, so we did not anticipate any issues. Unfortunately, she did not arrive at the university in time, and those photos never happened. It was especially disappointing because we even saw another bride and groom meeting their photographer who arrived as planned. Those pictures were meaningful to us, and there was no way to recreate that moment with everyone. It also put a damper on the day because the rest of our wedding party arrived on time and were ready for photos. It was awkward having everyone gathered and waiting without a photographer there, especially after we had planned so carefully around that location.She did offer to stay an extra hour for the after-party and to schedule another session on a different day. We appreciate her effort to make it right; however, after-party coverage wasn't something we had planned or prioritized, and it didn't replace the significance of the UT Austin photos. Rescheduling would have required another trip and redoing hair and makeup, and we were leaving immediately afterward for our honeymoon, making it unrealistic. Overall, while the final images were solid, missing such an important and clearly communicated location was very disappointing and took away from what should have been a seamless part of our wedding day. read more

I first fell in love with her work when on our venue's website since most of their photos were captured by her. The first time I met her in person was the day of the wedding and I needed help getting dressed. Svetlana actually helped me get into my corset bra, shoes, and wedding dress the day of the wedding because everyone else was behind on their hair & makeup. I felt embarrassed having to ask her, but she immediately made me feel so comfortable. She is one of the kindest people I've met and you can tell she is extremely dedicated to her work. She was incredibly professional and told us exactly what to do - where to stand, what to do with our hands, etc. which eased our minds. All of our family members and guests loved her! We received our photos after the wedding very quickly (2-3 weeks) which included the bridal portraits I had taken the day of the wedding, as well. My goodness, I can't even look at our wedding photos without crying! Svetlana was able to capture all of the most important moments while somehow still managing to find the time to capture those precious candid moments, as well. Flash forward to now and with my 2 year old daughter I have had a string of very disappointing photographers since she was born. She checked each photo after she took it to make sure that she had the shoot. The church where my daughter was married in has some architectural features that I was unaware of until I looked a the photos. She emailed each time that we were meeting to make sure that I was still going to be there. She sent several emails back and forth before the wedding to check on things.
