I worked in the Austin bridal industry for 9 years, went to several high profile weddings at Barton Creek Country Club and The Driskill. I had never worked with such a professional and talented photographer before meeting Jeff. Jeff was always on time and available to meet me at various locations before the day. If you want the best photographer in Texas, it's Jeff Loftin. I have a little bit of photographer guilt because my wedding pictures are so much better than my friends. Jeff did not try to coax me into bridal portraits that I didn't want. I have thousands of beautiful pictures from my wedding day. Not hundreds, THOUSANDS! He captured every moment, some that I didn't remember and others that I wasn't around to witness. His images bring me so much joy when I look through them. They captured the best of that day. There's so much love and happiness in the pictures people can't help but smile when looking through my album. It's been three years since my wedding and friends and family still come over and request to look at our wedding album...If that is not a testament to the quality of his work I don't know what is. Working with Jeff was fantastic. I didn't really know what I was doing picking a photographer for my wedding. I found his Yelp reviews and checked out his website and was really impressed. When we decided to go with him I was a little worried about the price, and didn't exactly know what I was wanting- I still felt like booking him was a gamble. I am so thrilled that I went with him. I just got the photos and I couldn't be more blown away with the end product. He managed to get all of the details that I was scared I wouldn't remember, but most importantly he really captured the spirit of the event. A lot of cliché wedding terms get thrown around- and I am guilty of buying in. We were going for a laid back/fun elegance and not only is that what the wedding felt like, that is totally what he was able to capture. His communication and flexibility were great. Due to unforeseen circumstances he was able to do some last minute schedule switching for our engagement photos and couldn't have been more accommodating or gracious about it. I preferred communicating through e-mail and he was always quick to respond and made it very clear that he was available whenever I had questions- as a bride who really didn't know what she was doing, this was very reassuring. During the wedding he and the second photographer were complete flys on the wall. I would have hated if my guests felt like the photographer was always creeping around or the focal point during the ceremony- but they were totally unobtrusive. I don't know how they got the great shots they did. They also chose perfect and appropriate moments to quickly grab some artistic shots of my husband and I. They blew us away. One of the most difficult decisions we had to make for the wedding was a photographer. It seemed that everyone we spoke with said they wouldn't recommend the photographer they had chosen for their wedding! Thank goodness we searched The Knot for reviews, selected the top 3 names and called Jeff first! Even though he was on a family vacation he took time to take my call and answer ALL my questions as crazy as some were. I was very honest with him and told him I was interviewing other photographers and didn't really know what to ask. He actually gave me some suggestions for questions to ask and things to look for. He was extremely professional, never made me feel like I was bothering him, and never tried to "sell himself". I knew then that Jeff was going to be hard to beat. And then when we met him and his wife in person we knew we had made the right choice. It especially warmed my heart when Andrea ( his wife ) put her arms around my daughter-in-law as we were leaving and told her she would take good care of her. And she did! If I had a question I knew I could email Jeff and have an answer that day. He even helped me with advice on an engagement photo my sister took that we wanted to put on canvas. Another example of the type of people they are..with my CD was a hand written note! They are an amazing couple; professional, extremely talented, calm, caring and sincere. Their precious spirit shows in the quality of their work. I live in California, and had my wedding in San Diego. I've come across Jeff Loftin's work in the past and knew that I had to book him when it came time for my big day! He is an absolute professional. He is easy to work with and just a great person to be around. Most of the time, I didn't even know that he was in the same room with me. He's great at what he does and knows how to make the bride's life a little less stressful by not having to stop you a bunch of times to get "the shot," he just knows how to get it, while the bride goes about her routine in the morning. For the prep before the wedding, Jeff happened to be in the LA area and offered his time to take engagement photos. I cannot even begin to describe how incredible this was. We were able to get 3 different location shots within a matter of just a couple hours and the photos were absolutely amazing!! The biggest mistake you could make for your wedding, is not booking with Jeff Loftin Photography. My husband and I were so impressed with Jeff and Andrea's services for our wedding that we want to recommend them to everyone that we talk to! I cannot express how much they helped us to feel comfortable and less stressed. It was a whirlwind of a day and it helped us tremendously that they were so organized, took all of the pictures that we asked for, directed us and family when needed, and were so personable! Jeff and Andrea truly work as a team. After the ceremony we didn't want to take too much time taking pictures while our guests waited. While Jeff took the pictures, Andrea directed the picture-taking and ensured that we got all of the photos that we requested, but that it didn't take forever. It helped so much! WOW! I don't even know where to start! We were nervous about photos in the first place, since my husband is very camera shy. We had seen Jeff's work before, and I'm so glad we had a meeting with him! From the beginning he was attentive, flexible, quick, and had wonderful suggestions. He met us in College Station to do our Engagement Photos, and had them ready with one large print for our Engagement Party less than two weeks later. He helped make sure our less than photogenic concerns were addressed, and did a fabulous job catching all of the details at our wedding. That was the happiest day of my life, and he captured the joy on every single person's face! Looking back on our slideshow he created, it feels like this could have been a Hollywood wedding... everyone looks amazing, the background music he chose was perfect, and it's hard to believe that this isn't something you would find in a magazine! I wrote the following review for another website a few months after the wedding. Over 2.5 years later, I catch myself looking at our wedding photos just because I still can't believe how great they are! The most important wedding vendor to me was the photographer, so I spent the most time researching this. We selected Jeff and his wife as our photographers not only because of their professional behavior and beautiful pictures, but also because they were so willing to consider any crazy idea we had (my husband and his side of the wedding party took pre-wedding photos with their guns, which Jeff said he had never done before). We received our photos very quickly after the wedding (and our engagement photo shoot). I had a friend that had recently gotten married tell me that she wished she had chosen Jeff because of the quality of his photos and how quickly we received the finished product! I never write reviews but I wanted to take the time to help others make a great decision. We are still so glad we went with Jeff Loftin Photography for our wedding. I was in the business and had worked with many wedding photographers, as well as been to multiple wedding expos. Since even before I was engaged I was drawn to Jeff's pictures and how beautiful he made everything. We still shopped around and met with other photographers but still knew Jeff was the best! Him and his wife, Andrea did such a wonderful job on the day. They are both so professional, yet fun and laughed with us all day. Jeff was the photographer for my daughters engagement, bridals and wedding photos! He did an awesome job on all!! The pictures all turned out amazing! The engagement pictures were taken in November and it was very windy and cold and the pictures were outside....He did such a wonderful job, no one had any idea of the weather conditions! We had many places on our list we wanted to shoot the day of bridals and it was a very long (but fun) day , and he was so patient and kind and full of ideas for the photos until the last shot! They all turned out beautiful. It was so hard to pick a favorite! The photos the day of the wedding are gorgeous! He pays special attention to details! We had a great experience working with Jeff for our wedding in November. From the moment we met, he was very easy to work with and we felt very at ease with the whole process. The communication was smooth, and he was pretty helpful for people like us who didn't have a lot to bring to the table in terms of idea, requests, etc. So we needed someone who knew what they were doing. He has a very friendly and low-key manner that, while not a necessity, is a nice perk. The day of the wedding he and his assistant were prompt, helpful, and everywhere we needed them to be. Every time I turned around at the reception, hoping to catch a photo with whatever friend I was with, either Jeff or his assistant were nearby, it was almost uncanny. Jeff Loftin was my wedding photographer for my summer wedding in Texas. I assumed with the dreaded Texas heat, this would be a bit of a challenge to take the amount of pictures, in the time frame - in the heat, where I wanted to. But Jeff took every step to ensure we were comfortable - and still managed to get absolutely EVERY shot I was wanting. While we split up our pre-ceremony pictures, we later found out he captured every detail of our flowers, table settings, reception area, chairs, etc. The list went on and on. Hiring Jeff and Andrea as our wedding photographers was quite possibly THE best decision we have ever made. I cannot express enough how amazing and talented these two people are. Our wedding photos are absolutely gorgeous, and I could not be more thankful that Jeff and Andrea were there to share our special day with us. We got married in March 2013 and were lucky enough to have Jeff Loftin as our photographer for our rehearsal dinner. He was AMAZING! We originally wanted him as our wedding photographer, but he was unfortunately booked. We knew, though, that we wanted to work with Jeff in some capacity. My husband and I are blown away from our stunning wedding photos. Jeff did such a fabulous job. He truly told the story of our wedding day through photographs. We used Jeff for our engagement pictures, bridal portraits, and the wedding pictures, and were so incredibly happy with his work. Amazing!! Our pictures are absolutely incredible. We had a beach wedding and Jeff Loftin was able to manipulate the scenery and the lighting perfectly. Photography is the one thing we "splurged" on for our wedding and every day I look at my pictures I am thankful we did. Besides the great quality, the service and professionalism was also wonderful.
